Effortless Device Management, But Needs More Advanced Features and Faster Sync

  • October 24, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud’s MDM features make managing company devices much easier and more consistent. The ability to remotely configure, update, and secure macOS and Windows devices from a single dashboard saves a lot of manual effort. I really like how straightforward it is to push policies, enforce security baselines, and deploy software without needing users to bring their devices in.

It’s also reliable for monitoring device compliance, we can quickly see which machines are out of date, missing updates, or have security settings that need attention. The integration with user management is seamless, so devices automatically stay tied to the right users. Overall, JumpCloud provides a simple, centralized way to manage and secure our endpoints without a heavy infrastructure footprint.
What do you dislike about the product?
ome of the MDM features feel a bit limited compared to larger platforms. Updates and policy syncs can take a little while to apply, and a few settings require extra steps to configure. Reporting could also be more detailed, but overall it still gets the job done well for most needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud helps us manage and secure all company devices remotely without needing a complex on-prem setup. It simplifies provisioning new laptops, enforcing security policies, and keeping systems up to date. This saves a lot of time during onboarding and ensures devices stay compliant even when users work remotely. Overall, it reduces manual IT tasks and gives us better visibility into our device fleet.

What do you dislike about the product?
Jump Cloud has a tendency to be manual and front loading
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ease of SSO for multiple platforms that feed into JC

Exceptionally User-Friendly IT Management with Seamless Setup

  • October 24, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud offers an exceptionally clean and user-friendly interface, ensuring that all essential features are readily accessible. The platform strikes an impressive balance by providing a wide range of IT management settings and modifications, yet everything remains easy to locate thanks to its logical organization.

Installing the agent on new devices is straightforward, and applying policies is a seamless process. Users management cannot be made simpler and makes frequent tasks such as binding accounts, password resets, staging, super simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of my main frustrations with JumpCloud has been the reliability of its local agent. While the agent is supposed to quietly enforce policies and keep systems in sync with JumpCloud, my experience has been inconsistent. On some Windows machines, it performs perfectly, but on others, it unpredictably stops applying policies or fails to update user credentials. Troubleshooting these issues can be challenging, as the logs are often unclear, and JumpCloud’s support usually suggests reinstalling the agent rather than providing an explanation for the failure. Although this isn’t a dealbreaker, if you’re planning to deploy JumpCloud across many endpoints, be prepared to spend extra time monitoring and managing the agent to ensure it’s functioning as intended.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud solves the headache of managing users and devices across multiple platforms and locations. Instead of juggling Active Directory for Windows, separate tools for Macs, and another for SaaS apps, JumpCloud brings everything under one roof. From an IT support perspective, that means faster onboarding, fewer password reset tickets, and consistent policy enforcement no matter where a user is working. It’s especially beneficial in hybrid or remote environments where you can’t rely on traditional domain joins but still need secure, centralized control over identities and access.

Essential for Account Management with Outstanding Support

  • October 24, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud has proven to be extremely helpful for setting up and managing our customers and their accounts. The support team is consistently available and responsive whenever we need assistance. The platform also provides a variety of tools that enhance security and allow for seamless integration with our clients' environments. We rely on JumpCloud every day to ensure that both our technicians and clients can work as efficiently as possible.
What do you dislike about the product?
We wish JumpCloud had more options for supporting MacOS, as well as increased scalability when dealing with larger enterprise customers
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud has provided us with a single platform to manage both our IAM and password management needs. It also excels at supporting zero-trust security principles and streamlining our user lifecycle management, covering everything from onboarding to offboarding.

All-in-One Identity Management with Seamless Security and Effortless Network Protection

  • October 24, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
he greatest value proposition of JumpCloud lies in its robust identity management capabilities. By acting as a single source of truth for user identities, it dramatically simplifies complex tasks like provisioning, de-provisioning, and enforcing security policies across Windows, macOS, and Linux endpoints. The integration of Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is seamless and highly effective, providing strong security without crippling the end-user experience. It consolidates functions that traditionally required separate Active Directory, LDAP, and device management tools into one clean, manageable interface.

Furthermore, the Cloud RADIUS-as-a-Service feature is a clear standout. This component makes it incredibly easy to secure Wi-Fi networks and VPNs using the same central JumpCloud credentials. It eliminates the hassle of deploying and maintaining on-premise RADIUS servers, instantly boosting network security by enforcing individual user credentials (and optional MFA) rather than relying on shared passwords. This is a massive win for remote and distributed teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
Where the platform shows its limitations is generally in the depth of specialized features, specifically within its Remote Assist tool.

While JumpCloud's Remote Assist functionality provides basic, necessary features for troubleshooting—screen sharing and remote file access—it often feels like a checkbox feature when compared directly to dedicated remote access products. In contrast to best-of-breed solutions like ConnectWise Screen Connect, the performance, user interface fluidity, and feature depth of JumpCloud’s remote access feature tend to pale in comparison.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud stands out as an excellent directory platform, truly fulfilling its promise of unified identity and device management. Its IAM core, along with the Cloud RADIUS feature, offers both enterprise-level security and straightforward usability.

Easy to Use with Powerful Features, but Can be Frustrating at Times.

  • October 24, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Managing JumpCloud is very easy to get into even if you haven't done much administration in the past. JumpCloud has a very good interface for the most part, and has lots of powerful features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of documentation on some things makes it difficult to get into specifics at times. One big frustration I've faced is with the AD integration, which while it might have a decent amount of docs written for it, still gave me some trouble setting up. I think the issue here is the verbosity of errors (or lack thereof), but this is a very specific example.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
From an administration standpoint, JumpCloud has been a saint when it comes to Directory and SSO. JumpCloud helps make onboarding and offboarding new employees extremely easy; and when it comes to device deployment and management, the JumpCloud Agent is easy to integrate into our lite-touch deployment system which makes everything super automatic and easy to use.

Centralized Control and Seamless Integration Make Management Effortless

  • October 24, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The centralized control it gives over users, devices, and policies. It makes managing authentication and access across systems simple and consistent. Integration with M365 and Google Workspace works smoothly, and the agent deployment is reliable even in remote environments.
What do you dislike about the product?
The reporting and audit features are still limited. Some logs take too long to update, and deeper event correlation requires external tools. The UI could also be faster when handling large device inventories.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It unifies user and device management under one platform. Before JumpCloud, we had fragmented systems for identity, access, and endpoint control. Now authentication, policies, and provisioning are centralized, reducing admin time and improving compliance. Remote onboarding and offboarding are faster, and security standards are easier to enforce company-wide.

Centralized Management, Easy to Use

  • October 24, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate how JumpCloud provides a centralized platform for managing devices, which replaces the need to use multiple platforms. This is particularly helpful as it allows for managing a variety of operating systems such as Macs, Windows, and Androids in one place. The centralized approach simplifies our operations significantly. Furthermore, I find JumpCloud easy to use, making the management process straightforward and efficient. This ease of use, combined with the centralized management capability, truly stands out and makes me more inclined to choose JumpCloud again.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found it somewhat challenging to start with JumpCloud as we needed to devise a method for creating kiosk modes, which was not straightforward.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use JumpCloud for centralized device management across different platforms, simplifying what was previously handled by multiple platforms.

Easy Deployment and Use, But Logging Needs Improvement

  • October 24, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The facility to deploy and usage. The interface is clean and easy to wor.
What do you dislike about the product?
The logs from application are so poor. They need to develop something better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SSO is highly practical and well-suited for its intended purpose. On the other hand, integrating logs and establishing connectivity with other SIEM platforms can present some difficulties. Additionally, there is room for improvement in access management.
