Unified Endpoint Visibility, But Remote Assist Needs Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
Allows our organization to see all endpoints (regardless of OS) through a single pane of glass.
What do you dislike about the product?
Remote Assist is unreliable in my experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud solved our reliance on traditional Active Directory. Our goal was to get away from that design and JumpCloud allowed us to do that.
A Powerful All-in-One Platform for Identity and Device Management
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about JumpCloud is how it simplifies and centralizes identity and device management. The platform gives IT teams the ability to manage users, access, and devices across multiple operating systems and applications from one place — without needing to maintain on-prem infrastructure like Active Directory. I also really appreciate the company’s open, cloud-native approach and strong focus on security and usability for both admins and end users.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn’t much to dislike, but one area I think could be improved is the learning curve for new administrators. JumpCloud offers a powerful, feature-rich platform, but because it touches so many areas—identity, access, device management, security—it can take some time to fully master all of its capabilities.
That said, I see this as an opportunity rather than a drawback, because the documentation and community support are strong, and the product continues to evolve quickly.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
umpCloud is solving the problem of fragmented identity and device management. Instead of relying on multiple tools for authentication, access control, and device policies, JumpCloud unifies everything into a single cloud-based platform. This centralization simplifies administration, reduces security risks, and saves our IT team a lot of time managing users across macOS, Windows, and Linux devices. The ability to enforce Zero Trust security principles without needing on-prem infrastructure like Active Directory has been a huge benefit.
Effortless Asset Management and SSO, Minor Password Update Hiccups
What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud has been a great help in managing our entire asset ecosystem. What stands out most to me is how easy it is to manage and access all our SSO-integrated applications from a single web console. This feature makes it much simpler for both myself and my users to avoid confusion when accessing different web apps, and it also supports us in maintaining a strong security posture.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not a major issue, but I did encounter some problems when trying to update my Jumpcloud user console password through the Jumpcloud user portal. Other than that, I haven't experienced any significant issues with Jumpcloud.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
During the SSO integration, we encountered some issues, but the Jumpsloud support team assisted us in resolving them, and now everything is functioning well. Previously, we struggled to manage our endpoints securely, such as handling passwords and enforcing policies. Now, it is much easier to manage everything from a single console.
Users and devices are easier to manage than ever with it.
What do you like best about the product?
I use JumpCloud to manage user access every day across our mixed environment which are moslty macOS and a few Linux systems. I think the best part is being able to manage logins, device policies and MFA all in one spot without bouncing between multiple tools. I can get someone on-boarded in minutes and provide them with the right groups and I’m confident they’ll be able to access what they need securely.
What do you dislike about the product?
The admin console can sometimes feel a bit slow and clunky especially when I’m in there doing bulk updates or quickly checking logs. The reporting and audit trails could be a bit more intuitive as I have to click around a couple more times than I’d like to get the details that I want. And while the integrations are robust, some of the deeper configuration options are still tweak and try until you get it right.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prior to JumpCloud user access across disparate systems was a disaster and there were local accounts everywhere and far too many password resets. Now I have the ability to implement mfa, single sign on and uniform security policies across all devices and applications from a single dashboard.
Intuitive and Insightful Platform with Smooth Experience, Minor Update Lags
What do you like best about the product?
There are many things to appreciate about Jumpcloud. Ease of Integration, Features such as comprehensive insights into users' systems stand out, and the administration portal is very intuitive. Customer Support are very reactive to my queries. Most of its processes are also seamless, making the overall experience smooth.
What do you dislike about the product?
I believe that during update rollouts, there may be occasional lags, though they are hardly noticeable. I'm confident that the team is continuing to work on improving this aspect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They encountered a few issues with Apple IDs & report creation, but their support team responded quickly. It's rare to find such real-time assistance with other application support these days.
All-in-One Directory Solution with Seamless Integration and Powerful Controls
What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud provides a true all-in-one directory platform that centralizes identity, device, and access management without relying on a traditional on-prem AD. I especially like the seamless integration between user directory, MDM, SSO, and RADIUS — all managed through a single, clean admin console. The JumpCloud agent is lightweight yet powerful for enforcing password policies, MFA, and compliance controls across macOS, Windows, and Linux.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main downside of JumpCloud is that some workflows feel fragmented or limited compared to mature enterprise solutions. For example, the MDM and policy management capabilities are still evolving — they cover common use cases well, but lack the fine-grained configuration depth of platforms like Intune or JAMF. Reporting and audit exports could also be more flexible, especially for larger orgs that need granular historical logs or API access to raw event data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud is solving the challenge of managing users, devices, and access across a hybrid SaaS environment without relying on legacy Active Directory or multiple disconnected tools. It consolidates directory services, MDM, SSO, and RADIUS into one platform — giving us unified visibility and control over user identities and devices.
This has reduced admin overhead, improved onboarding/offboarding speed, and strengthened our overall security posture by enforcing MFA, password policies, and device compliance consistently across macOS, Windows, and Linux systems.

Great SSH Key Management with SSO, But Interface Needs Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
The feature we rely on most is the ability to keep our SSH keys on the jump host synchronized with SSO. This functionality has significantly reduced the amount of manual work required in our process and has helped us maintain compliance.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are two separate logins or interfaces for admin and regular users, which can be confusing. I also noticed a strange glitch: if a password isn’t set before enabling federation for a user, their passwords won’t sync properly. Overall, I find the interface as a whole is not particularly user-friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The platform offers features for managing user access, including adding and removing users, as well as ensuring security compliance. These capabilities help maintain control over who can use the system and support adherence to security standards.
Intuitive UI and Seamless Access, but Setup Could Be Smoother
What do you like best about the product?
The user interface is clean, intuitive, and easy to navigate. I really appreciate the mobile app — it’s simple to use and allows me to log into my desktop without any hassle. Since I already have many passwords memorized, this platform is ideal for working across multiple computers and locations. The ability to create multiple folders has also been especially helpful (e.g., a personal folder, a shared folder with admin, and shared folders with other team members). It makes it easy to access exactly what I need, whether I’m on my personal laptop while traveling or on my work desktop. I haven’t explored all of JumpCloud’s capabilities yet, but I look forward to utilizing more of its features over time.
What do you dislike about the product?
The installation and initial setup process required a bit of extra navigation. This may have been due to compatibility issues, but once everything was configured, the platform ran smoothly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our company works across multiple platforms, often with several accounts under the same system. Since our IT administrator now works PT and most of our team operates remotely, we frequently encountered issues such as login difficulties and password updates. JumpCloud has helped streamline this process by allowing us to manage and grant access to these accounts more efficiently, reducing downtime and minimizing the need to rely on IT for every access-related issue.

IT helps our general MDM and AD and SSO management as a platform
Effortless to Use and Invaluable for SaaS Experiments
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to use. We use it for running an experiment for our SaaS client and it helped a lot. We did not use it within our own company.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because we just use it for our SaaS client, I cancelled JumpCloud. But they still send me a bill after cancellation. It is not a big issue as I emailed customer support and get that adjusted.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In order to integrate with client for SSO, we signed up JumpCloud and tested it out. It is easy to use.
