Finally, one login for everything, JumpCloud makes our IT life so much smoother
What do you like best about the product?
The unified identity and devices management, certainly, is my favorite feature of JumpCloud. Directory-as-a-Service is a massive victory in itself that has enabled us to gain centralization of identities without having to even have an on premise Active Directory in play which has been massively liberating. Second, its full cross platform MDM capabilities are cracking. We can manage and secure all windows, Mac, and even Linux devices, with just a single console, making sure that all devices have the same security policies. In addition, the SSO and MFA built-in allow easy access to all our applications in the cloud and provide an easy and highly secure log in to the users. It actually lives up to the reputation of being that everything directory.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although it is good, it is one of the parts that might be difficult with JumpCloud. The initial learning curve will be as an administrator and is especially present during the configuration of more complex policy settings or integrations. Not all the more complex functions are immediately obvious in the setup. And in terms of pricing where very small companies or companies with certain niche integrations go, sometimes the pricing level might seem a bit high after you start adding more features or users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud is ironically coming to our rescue of decentralized and complex IT management, especially the part of user identities and device security in a cloud-first environment. Prior to JumpCloud, we used to manage independent systems: Windows on-prem Active Directory, a third-party MDM (Macs), and multiple cloud services having their identity stores. This resulted in a diffused user experience, a provisioning nightmare, and security coverage blind. JumpCloud now brings all of that together and serves as our "single source of truth" concerning user identities, device policies and access to applications. It has streamlined our hiring and firing process, greatly decreased our IT costs and created a much more formidable, unified security stance throughout our complete IT structure.
Easy-to-deploy cloud-native software with features for managing SaaS resources and identities

Easy Setup and Accessibility, but Agent Needs Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using JumpCloud for almost six to seven years, primarily for identity management, SSO, policies, and access controls, along with MDMs. I appreciate how easy it was to discover and start using JumpCloud. Its ease of use and the ability to deploy it quickly, especially with the MSI package, made it a preferred choice over Excel, our previous solution. The setup process was notably straightforward, from the cloud directory to SSU and deploying agents. I find JumpCloud very beneficial for managing users and devices, including password resets and access management, which enhances our operations significantly. The features I find most useful are the patch management, command system for deploying commands, and the policy system. Furthermore, I value JumpCloud's ease of use, accessibility, and the quick turnaround I receive from support, which makes my experience with JumpCloud quite satisfactory.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the JumpCloud agents problematic. They often need additional work, as there are ongoing issues with agents going offline. It would be beneficial if there was an option to quickly reconnect or 'ping' a device to re-establish communication with the central server for agents that have been offline for a while.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use JumpCloud for efficient identity provision, SaaS management, patch management, and access control, enhancing our user and device management while simplifying password resets.
Easy to log in without having to remember passwords, I love it
What do you like best about the product?
I liked that it stores user credentials and allows for seamless login across all platform with a single click. I loved the top-notch security features, enhanced security, and privacy for regulatory compliance.
What do you dislike about the product?
I didn like that when the password is about to expire, I dont receive any notification.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud is excellent for simplifying the number of passwords needed for different service. It solves many of the current problems with identity and access management, as well as with the direct management of cloud services, and is truly useful.

Managing Devices and Access in the Cloud Era – A JumpCloud Admin's Perspective
What do you like best about the product?
As a JumpCloud admin, I rely heavily on its cloud-native directory platform to manage our distributed environment efficiently and securely. The ability to configure and control Device Groups allows us to segment and enforce policies based on organizational roles and risk profiles, improving our operational structure and endpoint hygiene.
We're leveraging RADIUS-as-a-Service to authenticate users on our network infrastructure, which eliminates the complexity of managing on-prem NPS servers and ensures secure Wi-Fi and VPN access using centralized credentials. With Policy Management, I can deploy and enforce device security baselines—such as screen lock timers, encryption, and firewall settings—at scale across macOS and Windows systems, using templated or custom policies.
Mobile Device Management (MDM) gives us full lifecycle control of our Apple devices, enabling zero-touch enrollment, configuration profiles, and remote wipe capabilities. Meanwhile, Software Management allows us to automate package deployments and updates across fleets, drastically reducing time spent on manual installs and patching.
We’ve also structured our access model using User and System Groups, which simplifies the application of SSO, command scripts, and policies with granular control. JumpCloud’s architecture supports our Zero Trust initiatives, while significantly reducing the complexity and cost associated with traditional domain controllers or hybrid AD setups.
Overall, JumpCloud empowers our IT operations with scalable, policy-driven management, making identity and device control seamless across our hybrid cloud environment.

What do you dislike about the product?
JumpCloud is excellent for unified identity and device management across platforms, but it still lacks:
Granular admin roles
Deep MDM/MAM features
Enterprise-level compliance tooling
Advanced analytics and real-time monitoring
It’s perfect for cloud-first, mid-size teams with mixed OS environments—but large enterprises or orgs with heavy compliance or Apple/Windows specialization may need complementary tools.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud helps us consolidate and streamline multiple IT functions—specifically around identity, device, and access management—into a single, cloud-based platform. We're using RADIUS for secure network authentication, which eliminates the need for maintaining on-prem RADIUS servers. With Device Groups and Policy Management, we can enforce consistent security configurations across our entire device fleet, saving hours of manual setup and reducing security risks.
Through Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Software Management, we automate OS-level settings and software deployment, keeping endpoints compliant and up to date. The use of Groups lets us efficiently organize users and systems, apply role-based access policies, and scale configurations across departments.
The biggest benefit has been improved operational efficiency, enhanced visibility, and a stronger zero-trust security posture—all while reducing the number of tools and overhead required to manage our IT environment.
