Going fully cloud with Jumpcloud
What do you like best about the product?
Centralized management of our user-base as well as other services they rely on.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have had some random issues where systems would go into a tail spin and constantly lockout users requiring onsite administrator access. We do feel that this is just an early day issue that will eventually get resolved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Synchronization of privileges between different services without Active Directory. We are able to Access control almost all services we rely on without the On Premise Active Directory which was previously required.
simple and effective

It's single place to manage all users across multiple machines and OS's, support has been very responsive when needed and its been easy to roll out making our fleet of windows and linux servers, macOS and Windows workstations much easier to manage.
What do you dislike about the product?
Whilst there is an event API to capture access audit information for managed systems there is no built in reporting which would be a nice feature. It would also be nice to have some more information / templates for popular SEIM applications such as Elastic Search / Kibana to make the available data more immediately useful.

Jumpcloud for everyone
What do you like best about the product?
I love being able to deploy users on the fly to multiple different machines. It's easy to give and limit permissions based on your end-user. With Jumpcloud, there is no need for an Active Directory server.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost of Jumpcloud is a little high to implement on a large scale. Especially for smaller institutions. Just a little. All around it's pretty affordable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mixed environments. I have several different Operating systems I support and I didn't want to have to manage several different authoritative servers. (Active Directory, Open Directory, Linux)
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it out. It's worth a good hard look and I think you'll be impressed.

What do you like best about the product?
We were able to create a cost-effective single-sign-on replacement for our Windows Active Directory.

What do you dislike about the product?
Currently, Jumpcloud has a user authentication cache issue that prevents the user credentials from being cached longer than 1 hour. This means you have to constantly log back in to jumpcloud throughout the day.
Jumpcloud has assured us that this issue is in development and should be fixed soon. But it's almost been a year of the same message.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's good, but the user session issue is very frustrating. Once that clears up, this will be a great alternative to Duo, Okta, etc.
