JumpCloud Small Business Deployment
What do you like best about the product?
The JumpCloud Radius as a Service feature allows me to secure Wi-Fi authentication with WPA2 Enterprise Security and certificates without the need of an on-premises RADIUS server to manage. Users only have to manage a single set of credentials. OS Agnostic Directory as a Service to enable Single-Sign-On is pretty sweet!
What do you dislike about the product?
The ability to push AD GPO-like policies doesn't seem to be there yet. The ability to push a firewall SSL certificate into a client's trusted certificate store would be helpful for SSL inspection.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
RADUIS as a Service for WiFi Authentication and WPA2 Enterprise Security
Recommendations to others considering the product:
JumpCloud has a lot of potential. It's not an enterprise-class directory service yet. However, if you're not a big Microsoft shop running on-prem AD servers and AzureAD it's definitely worth a look.
Securing wifi even easier
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of integration
Simplicity to add enterprise authentication to wifi deployment
Easy management of identities

Easy management of identities
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like more radius pops - ideally closer to my region
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Wifi access and identity management
Management from anywhere
Management from anywhere
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely would consider Jumpcloud if looking to manage identity and not looking for the overhead of on prem or other more expensive solutions.
JumpCloud makes management of my users and devices significantly easier than with our old AD setup.
What do you like best about the product?
System insights, SSO, and configurations
What do you dislike about the product?
I have SPs that do not integrate natively with SSO.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Migrate to an easy-to-manage directory and out of an old AD infrastructure and improve security via directory insights and SSO.
Jumpcloud makes SSO manageable for smaller companies
What do you like best about the product?
I love that there are no servers to manage, update or create. It's a true SaSS solution. I like the advanced features such as MFA enforcement policies
The pricing for small companies is really attractive. It helps getting started on the right foot from the get go

What do you dislike about the product?
* Lack of multiple Assertion Consumer Service (ACS) URLs. Because of that we have duplicates in connections for users
* Lack of ability to hide some applications from the Web Portal for users (some applications need auth to be initiated from the app and not JumpCloud, therefore people cannot click on those apps on the JumpCloud portal)
* Lack of ability to hide some applications from the Web Portal for users (some applications need auth to be initiated from the app and not JumpCloud, therefore people cannot click on those apps on the JumpCloud portal)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing user access centrally to easily onboard/offboard team members
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Start small and implement JumpCloud is a service that hasn't been distributed yet, so that people think JumpCloud is the usual way of authenticating. Once this is successful, you can add more software to it since the organization is already familiar with JumpCloud
Very Good Modern AD
What do you like best about the product?
Cloud Based AD with lots of functions...
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I feel like it is still a work in progress
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No need for servers on premises.
Easy Admin Interface and Great Tech Support
What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud was super easy to deploy when we adopted an all-MacOS engineering team to our all-Windows workstation environment.
The Admin interface is very easy to navigate.
The Admin interface is very easy to navigate.
What do you dislike about the product?
The out-of-the-box, non-customized MDM features for MacOS are excellent, but in my experience not as extensive as what is available for Windows. Tech support was very responsive. They either offered a workaround or mentioned that some new features are due to be launched later in the year. I'm hoping my feedback on what MDM features our company needs is helpful in guiding the release of new features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed to quickly get 14 MacOS workstations under central control -- driven by an impending security audit. They had been set up as individual devices (before we adopted the team) so we needed to migrate them to be managed like any company / institutional device should be.
Besides those short-term goals, we want to use JumpCloud to connect our MacOS users with our Windows users through directory sync and policy-based controls.

Great alternative for those who don't want Active Directory
What do you like best about the product?
The variety of features and operating systems supported
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that the MDM feature for apple supported pushing apps to DEP and apple business manager devices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a simple SSO solution and the options of Radius-as-a-service along with ldap-as-a-service saves a lot of administrative overhead and simplicity in maintaining our IT infrastructure.
