What do you like best about the product?
Rstudio for me is the principal tool that i use for the analysis of the monitor reports extracted from Dynatrace DCRUM. I like the IDE and the possibility to have all that i need in a application.

What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like to have a best editor for R like sublime text or IntelliJ with more shortcuts editing features
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rapid creations of reproducible reports in a only one instrument has increase the speed of my application performance analysis
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For me is"the tool" if anyone make any type of data analysis with R language

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use is just great. really easy to learn and powerful tool to work with. Availability of the packages
The number of jobs options a person can get with this tool is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
The GUI is not that great. Only if it was more intuitive. It needs to be more dynamic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am analyzing datasets using R-Studio. Benefits over tools like Excel is the option to use inbuilt functions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:

What do you like best about the product?
Layout in some sense is similar to matlab, so if you are familiar with it then it's easy to navigate. R notebook is really useful and especially ability to chunk your code and run them separately, code autocomplete suggestion and variable highlights makes it easy write scripts
What do you dislike about the product?
Takes a while to get used to the interface. Navigation between panels is a bit poor, and sometimes it crashes when doing heavy computations. Poor resolution on Mac computers (used on both iMac and macbook pro)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mostly bioinformatics research, Rstudio is more intuitive than using in terminal. Benefits: code chunking and seeing plots straight on in the window.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use R markdown and code chunking

What do you like best about the product?
Interactive
Easy Debugging
Auto-complete feature
friendly environment for Package Development
codes and work can be save as a project (Much organised way)
What do you dislike about the product?
Some time RStudio create problem in Viewing data. It does not show all the fields (reason I found that its an HTML based interface so not all feature of R works here.)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
RStudio is an awesome tool that can help you do your work better and faster. In technical terms, RStudio is a cross-platform integrated development environment (IDE) for the R statistical language.

R-Studio

  • December 29, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Very helpful IDE for R-programming especially for newcomers to R. Highlights errors in real-time that is not available in the R software itself. Most helpful features are the R-Markdown and R-presentation that enables saving the work (source code and output) in MS Word file or a PDF and thus it is presentable to those not using the software. The project can be saved as R-presentation and can be demonstrated online on any computer by uploading the project to Rpubs.com for free. R has very helpful user community that provides useful solutions to many problems.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user needs to have a good idea of many packages to work efficiently (unlike other software such as SAS). Some of the packages cannot be downloaded directly from CRAN mirrors (on the fly using the install.packages command) or from GITHUB. These packages have to be downloaded locally and then installed before loading them. some of the figures/plots cannot be shown on R-presentation or R-HTML although these are generated on the local computers. Generating the pdf in the R-markdown needs installation of additional software (MiKTeX) not provided with R-Studio installation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used RStudio for principal component analysis and analysis of observational data using propensity score matching in R.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Plenty of R-packages are available and the user may need to consider various options before finalizing the analysis and visualization.
