RStudio is an integrated development environment for R, with a console, syntax-highlighting editor that supports direct code execution, and tools for plotting, history, debugging and workspace management. Amazon SageMaker supports RStudio as a fully-managed integrated development environment (IDE) integrated with Amazon SageMaker Domain.
RStudio allows customers to create data science insights using an R environment. With RStudio integration, you can launch an RStudio environment in the Domain to run your RStudio workflows on SageMaker resources. Highlights
- R developers use the RStudio IDE interface with popular developer tools from the R ecosystem. Direct integration with IAM, use other AWS services without needing to re-authenticate. Users can launch new RStudio sessions, write R code, install dependencies from Posit Package Manager, and publish Shiny apps using Posit Connect.
- R developers can quickly scale underlying compute resources to run large scale data processing, machine learning, or statistical analysis. Uses Launcher for individual sized and isolated sessions connected directly to AWS SageMaker compute instances.
- RStudio on SageMaker has integration with AWS License Manager. Platform administrators can set up user identities, authorization, networking, storage, and security for their data science teams through AWS IAM Identity Center (successor to AWS Single Sign-On) and AWS Identity and Access Management integration. This includes connection to private Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (Amazon VPC) resources and internet-free mode with AWS PrivateLink.

I really love how Posit simplifies our data workflows, making complex data tasks .

I think interface feels a bit cluttered, and I wish it was more streamlined

The best thing about the Posit is the Multilanguage support and the Enterprise Security and the how easily some one can use and implement that

The con about the Posit is the learning curve. New users will face a very steep curve in learning that. It is also a resource-intensive technique that demands significance computational power to perform well. last thing is that it's user interface which can be a bit improved
