Visibility and cloud-based protection have improved our security portfolio and support our customers everywhere

  • November 27, 2025
  • Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

We are using Zscaler Internet Access ourselves and we are also selling it to our customers. We have Zscaler Internet Access in our portfolio.

What is most valuable?

Zscaler Internet Access gives visibility, which is important to have. The fact that it is usable everywhere is a significant advantage. The product is easy to use. You only have to do the rollout of the client and then it runs by itself. It is a well-made, well-engineered product.

What needs improvement?

There is room to give more possibility to customer onboarding to the partners. Currently, you always have to get technical help from Zscaler Internet Access itself to set up a tenant.

For how long have I used the solution?

We have been using it for coming up to one year now.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Zscaler Internet Access is really very good. I would give them a nine.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

It depends on Zscaler Internet Access what their focus is in the future. If they still want to grow, then they have to get more open-minded for smaller companies. With the pricing structure that they currently have, it is only for big customers.

How are customer service and support?

Zscaler Internet Access customer service is really very good. I would give them a nine.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

There is something coming up from Microsoft that is really cheap. Also, 40Sase is a solution that could be used as an alternative. There are many new offerings coming from old firewalls vendors waking up this marketplace. Zscaler Internet Access has to take care that they do not lose their position.

How was the initial setup?

It is really very easy. You only have to do the rollout of the client and then it runs by itself.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

It is only for big companies currently and they only focus on that. That is one of the problems to get into the market. Of course, it is an expensive product.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

There is something coming up from Microsoft that is really cheap. Also, 40Sase is a solution that could be used as an alternative. There are many new offerings coming from old firewalls vendors waking up this marketplace.

What other advice do I have?

We already have complementary solutions that we are using. We are using the partnership program. I have been in the security field for around 30 years, coming from the network perimeter security area. I moved to the security part and there I am a product owner from Zscaler Internet Access. I would not think it is for smaller companies, but it is currently coming from the other side. It is coming more from the traditional firewalling side and going more and more into the cloud area. It is difficult to provide a deep view on that. I know it only from the traditional firewall area and there you had to deal with all these appliances. I gave this review a rating of nine out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Public Cloud

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

What do you like best about the product?
I love using Zscaler Internet Access because it is cloud-native and provides an easy internet access solution. The implementation of zero trust security principles really stands out to me, and it makes me feel secure while working online. It effectively protects me and my data, ensuring a safe endpoint experience. Additionally, it excels in safeguarding my remote workflow by keeping me secure from unprotected and untrustworthy websites, such as those only using HTTP. This service is also instrumental in compliance and data leakage protection, which is crucial for my work. The aspect of having protection everywhere is incredibly valuable, as it provides a sense of security no matter where I am working.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial setup of Zscaler Internet Access is a bit complicated for beginners, indicating a need for a more user-friendly initial setup process. Additionally, there are latency issues experienced over certain regions, which can affect the performance, especially when used with teams. This can lead to complaints from team members about the latency in service.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Zscaler Internet Access to secure remote workflows, protect against unsafe websites, and ensure data compliance while benefiting from its cloud-native, zero trust security model.

Effortless Security and Seamless Access for Hybrid Work

  • November 05, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
In my case, it has been beneficial because my work is hybrid, connecting daily from different locations, so having a solution that gives me security and reliable access to company resources without depending on a traditional VPN has been a huge improvement. Its constant, daily operation runs in the background, so I don't have to worry about activating it or checking if my connection is secure. All traffic passes through the Zscaler cloud, which allows for content filtering, threat detection, and centralized application of security policies. Its ease of use has always been my favorite aspect, and while their customer service isn't the fastest to respond, they are friendly and very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although the security is excellent, the level of control is sometimes very restrictive, and some websites or services are blocked without a clear explanation. Sometimes, you have to go through several steps to request an exception.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Undoubtedly, the greatest benefit has been the constant security and not having to deal with malware issues or hacking attempts. I'm protected no matter where I connect from—at the office, at home, or on a public network. I no longer have to worry about activating a VPN or verifying if my connection is secure; Zscaler takes care of that automatically.

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how Zscaler Internet Access ensures our company's internet users only access secure places, significantly reducing the risk of malware or security breaches. The setup process was impressively easy and straightforward, involving just the configuration of the AD on the central app, which was expertly guided by their provided configuration. I rely on Zscaler Internet Access for robust security features, as it gives confidence that our internet activities are maintained securely. This security focus is paramount for us, helping to ensure that people avoid risky internet places, which has boosted our overall security posture. Additionally, the ease of setting up this software across all our conversations is a significant plus, reinforcing its user-friendly nature and making the application seamless to run.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the internet speed when using Zscaler Internet Access can be noticeably slow compared to the actual speed we experience at the workplace. This discrepancy affects efficiency and productivity. I would appreciate it if Zscaler could work on improving the internet speed to ensure it matches the actual available speeds.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Zscaler Internet Access to ensure secure internet browsing in my company, preventing malware and security breaches, with easy setup and configuration.

Effortless to Use and User-Friendly

  • October 21, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As a long-term supplier for a major global corporation, we use Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) daily to access their internal tools and environments. The experience is a quantum leap over the traditional VPN access we use with other clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the daily use is smooth, when a problem does occur, it's a real pain point, especially for external users who don't have visibility into the client's internal network.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Instead of granting me broad network access Zscaler allows my client to give me least-privilege access directly to the few specific applications I need to do my job.

  • October 20, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?

What do you dislike about the product?
When using Zscaler, I have noticed that internet speeds can decrease by about 10% to 15%. Additionally, Zscaler may reduce overall network performance in order to prioritize security.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zscaler offers a cloud-based, zero-trust cybersecurity platform that strengthens security and helps control expenses. By using this solution, organizations can become more agile and avoid the higher costs often linked to traditional network infrastructures.

Zscaler Internet Access providing great security functionality

  • October 18, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
ZIA is secure and inspects traffic inline so we dont need any hardware proxies or infrastructure to manage the security for our services. The AI powered capabilities and dashboard is great for visualization, monitoring and alerting. It is easy to use and we can use it at scale.
What do you dislike about the product?
The product can be complex to understand and the learning curve is bit more.Customer support is also not the best and it can take several conversations to resolve some issues. There can also be security concerns with routing confidential traffic through a third party service like ZIA
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ZIA provides secure connectivity to users at all times from any location through a cloud based access solution. The secure web gateways allow for easy routing enforcing zero-trust security policies on all internet traffic, regardless of user location. It is benefiting us as it now no longer need complex hardware proxies and can redirect network traffic through ZIA, providing centralized management of internet traffic. It has good security features such as secure web gateway, cloud access security broker, data loss prevention, firewall, threat detection, and SSL inspection.

Reliable Cloud Security, but Setup and SSL Inspection Can Be Challenging

  • October 18, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Zscaler Internet Access stands out for its reliable, cloud-based security and performance that remains consistent for all users, no matter where they are located. By shifting all security functions to the cloud, it eliminates the need for traditional, often sluggish security hardware. This approach ensures a smooth and seamless experience, whether you are working in the office or remotely.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I find most challenging is the complexity involved in the initial setup and managing policies. Additionally, there are occasional instances of latency or slowdowns, particularly noticeable when full SSL inspection is enabled.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Traditional security approaches required directing all user traffic back to a central corporate data center, often referred to as the "hub," using a VPN so that an on-premises firewall could inspect it. However, this method becomes ineffective when users are distributed across various locations, such as remote sites or branch offices, and when applications are hosted in the cloud, like with SaaS solutions.

How ZIA makes that easy for me: ZIA is a cloud-native security stack that sits between the user and the internet. It routes all internet-bound traffic through its global cloud infrastructure for inspection before it reaches the destination.
