Great platform, leading low-code/no-code players
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to quickly develop a solution that can provide high value to business while offering state-of-the-art technology behind the stage. Barely any infrastructure configuration and plenty of out-of-the-box security and scalability features
What do you dislike about the product?
Licensing costs unfortunately are pretty high, keeping Outsystems as a platform for big corporates
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As we offer technology consulting services to businesses, during the last five years we have delivered plenty of OutSystems solutions to several customers who have come out satisfied with the delivery speed it enables

What do you dislike about the product?
The newest version of Service Studio is still not stable enough. have caught a few errors and missing functionalities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have legacy apps in OutSystems, and it's much easier to rework and rebuild almost everything with OutSystems. Any other language would be most profitable to just start over with a new APP.
Working with OutSystems changed my life
What do you like best about the product?
The fact that OutSystems is a low-code platform, allows you to change your path easily. I don't have an IT background, but 3 years ago I decided to change my life, and by attending a 3 months training, I was able to easily learn how to work with OutSystems and immediately was hired as junior developer. It also introduces you to other technologies, like CSS, JavaScript, and makes you want to learn more! The community is awesome, helpful, and always available for you
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't believe there are downsides. Sometimes the platform gets a bit "buggy", specially with new releases, but you just need to report them to the team and find a workaround while they're taking care of that
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With OutSystems you can easily develop a proof of concept to show your clients, so you can have a business discussion in no time. You can even develop quick and fast solutions, so you can show multiple approaches to your client. Happy client, happy project!
Since the first minute I start using outsystems it was a very good surprise
What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity that is to create a new application and is to integrate outsystems to already running services and servers.
Also knowing that all CSS and javascript that I need for the project can be simply managed and integrated in the already created code.

What do you dislike about the product?
When the application is too large it seems that Outsystems is a bit slow compared to other compillers.
And with this new version (11.53.8) it seems it got even worst...

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since Outsystems is a low code platform it is much easier to learn how to use it compared to other programming languages. This by it self is a big boost to everyone that wants to join and try to know what being a DEV is.
Growing and learning everyday
What do you like best about the product?
How fast you can go from dev time to the final product.
Possibility to learn more and more every day.

What do you dislike about the product?
Product Owners / Business key members got used to bad habits. Because of high dev speed, they are investing less time and thinking in the design phase.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
UI / UX of Service Studio improved a lot in the last years
Awesome
What do you like best about the product?
Being low-code, even people without any experience can start building with OutSystems immediately.
OutSystems is very flexible and easy to use; it enables us to build something useful within minutes.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I currently do not use OutSystems.
I would like to be more familiar with it so I can start developing applications fast.

The future has arrived
What do you like best about the product?
Time saver and simplicity helper. Everything is very visual and makes it easy to see the results along the way.
What do you dislike about the product?
It looks like they want you to fail on their certifications. It would be nice to have clear questions and clear answers. Lot's of answers are there to make you feel unsure and overthink it. Sometimes you make the wrong interpretation simply because you are not a native English speaker. Simple things we do everyday transform into complex because the answers are there to confuse you, not to check if you know how Outsystems works.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Taking legacy systems out of business.
Outsystems is a powerful develment software that changes lifes!
What do you like best about the product?
A person with any background studies is able to develop with Outsystems and learn super quickly!
What do you dislike about the product?
Certifications are a little bit expensive if an individual has to pay with his own money.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Outsystems increase a lot the number of job opportunities in the IT field. It also gave lots of opportunities to people who did not study an IT course.
very powerful tool
What do you like best about the product?
what I like the most is the speed with which it is programmed, what has surprised me the most has been the difference between when you work with technologies like .NET that when you finish doing a big development there is always a bug that has to be solved, with outsystems it is the opposite, most of the time everything fits perfectly
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing that displeases me 100%, everything works quite smoothly, in my personal experience many times the IDE stops working and I have to restart it when it catches me in the middle of a development
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Outsystems solves the problems of all base applications, which in the end has a common base that all "big" companies need, it is very easy to work with Outsystems
Changed my life
What do you like best about the product?
OutSystems allowed me to start a development career with a much lower enter barrier. The platform simplifies a lot of things, making the learning curve much smooth.
What do you dislike about the product?
Documentation could be more in-depth, there were many times when I had to rely on the community to find how some component actually worked or how something should be made.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
OutSystems is making the barrier to enter in the development world much lower, allowing many people to start working and develop their skills already hands-on.
