Build Solutions at the Speed of Light
What do you like best about the product?
I've been a Java developer for 20+ years and learned OutSystems in 2018. I was reluctant to trade high code for low code, but OutSystems has been a game changer. It has helped me develop apps in a fraction of the time and help deliver value to the business. I also make small apps on the side to help my friends solve their analog problems, like building a staff scheduling app, an RSVP app, a volunteering and donations app during the pandemic, all done in the speed of light. There is a free edition where you can sign up and there are tons of training materials available online, enough to be dangerous. Give it a try, you won't regret it. It doesn't replace your high code skills, it augments it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform upgrades is a pain for on premise environments, especially when you have 10 environments to support! The cloud offering would be ideal for organizations that are more open to cloud technologies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
OutSystems helped us with Digital Transformation and automating a lot of workflows. It has greatly increased the number of apps we are able to release to the business at a small amount of time.
If you need fast reliable developmeny. Go With Outsystems.

It helps get things done in no time and you dont have to spend hours figuring out things with Traditional coding.

Great conference
What do you like best about the product?
Covers the whole spectrum of apps, from three minutes ready to go simple app to very large and complicated business app
What do you dislike about the product?
There are limited options to integrate code into the platform (I understand it is a design choice but a great deal of flexibility is lost here)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our company uses Outsystems for internal use. Our current focus is migrating silo'ed business practices in departments and legacy systems (spreadsheets, microsoft access) into Outsystems apps.
