I'm thankful these guys came along!

What do you like best about the product?
It works! It's easy to use. And it's easy to set up! It's such a relief to have all our users managed in the same place. I'm also quite happy that the endpoint device management is working. It lets me demonstrate implemented policies to my customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not as 'out-of-the-box' as we'd like. There is a definite learning curve. I'd like it to work better with Google directory and to have more HR tool integrations -- such as with BambooHR.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to manage identities and devices. We were able to demonstrate security compliance with our customers. We are also able to manage devices much more easily with employee entry/exit.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go for it!

Couldn't ask for more in our Hybrid environment

What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud is an efficient application that allows us to keep track of our Users and Devices, also allowing us to use SSO across our organization. The ability to push down policies to end-users devices has help us tremendously. Our on-boarding and off-boarding procedures have been simplified. The use of JumpCloud "System Insights" functionality can analyze individual machines quickly and effectively. They are continuously updating and adding helpful features.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't say there is anything I don't like about JumpCloud. Their customer support has been there for us at any time we had questions. They have always been able to point us in the right direction to solve issues. They make our operations run smoother, leaving me time to focus on other important matters
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to manage our devices and users with ease. Our company also takes advantage of the ability to use JumpCloud as an inventory tool. The ability to configure device policies is awesome. The one major benefit we have realized is the time-savings. To be able to use one application to do so many different things has been the most beneficial aspect brought to our company. We are able to install software via command line, in a moment's notice.

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of managing users across my organization with specified permissions, password requirements, key management etc. I can do it all from the portal. Adding new users is a breeze and retiring those that no longer need acces is even easier
What do you dislike about the product?
No complaints so far. I had a good friend walk me through set up which appeared daunting at first.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Server access/ permissions
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking for a one-stop shop for Access controls and administration, look no further.

  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Seamless endpoint management, user management and authentication polcies. JumpCloud allows you to control your envinronment from a single pane of glass.
What do you dislike about the product?
We want the ability to bulk edit group management based on role/title. Nested groups are a must option for ease of management for sizeable enterprise-level management.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SSO, RADIUS wifi authentication, LDAP authentication to multiple services, Compliancy for PW standardization. One-stop portal for all authentication needs is a game-changer. Would like to be able to integrate more HR solutions to automate the user creation and termination across platforms using HR as the source of truth.

Distributed Office Credential Management at its Best

  • February 19, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Extremely easy to use and has tons of features. The software just works and allows us the ability to not need to implement any complicated VPN connections or expensive AD infrastructure into our networks since all of our applications are cloud based. I especially like the device management features which allow us to implement things that used to only be possible with group policy. In addition the ability to install applications via chocolately packages is excellent. The pricing model seems to be quite fair and allows you to go with either a package or just pay for the things you need. Also the fact that they allow you to have a fully functional account for up to 10 users with no trial time period is very generous.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much that I have found so far, it is very functional! I did see that they do have the ability to uninstall chocolatey packages and the ability to create your own packages for install in an upcoming release so as of now I would say that those are missing features. One other thing I noticed is it does take a few minutes for the agent to poll the server so when updating or changing credentials and users they may need to wait a few minutes for the updates to take effect, its not instant like in the case of Active Directory.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As noted before we are distributed among multiple locations and this allows a central management of credentials for our users with a minimal IT staff while not needing the expensive and time consuming task of standing up and maintaining Active Directory servers. Our main goal was to have the ability to enforce some security policies as you would be able to do with AD and also have some central management of user credentials as creating local user accounts on each individual machine for people would not be a very efficient way of operating. Active Directory was just overkill for locations with only a handful of computers and if we used a VPN and for some reason that went down no one would be able to log in so that was off the table as well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I strongly suggest you give this product a try if you are moving more towards the cloud and away from on-prem solutions.

JumpCloud: The Only True Hybrid Solution

  • February 19, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about JumpCloud is the ability to managed Windows, Mac, and Linux in one central location. It was a must have, and I found it in JumpCloud. I love the pre-made policies that can just be added to whatever you'd like. I love the ability to push commands as well. One thing I would recommend though,
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not a fan at all about the 1 MB file size limit for sending installers in commands. Even taking an MSI file, and zipping it with full compression can't get it under 1 MB. I would love to see this changed in the near future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem I had was finding a solution to manage all platforms efficiently in one location. JumpCloud is literally the only solution where you can effectively manage a remote, hybrid environment. The benefits of have pre-made, built-in security policies has been wonderful. I really don't know what I would do without it. I've been spoiled.

Active Directory in the Cloud

  • February 19, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud makes it super easy to manage a directory of users and assets in the cloud. You can set permissions and make changes on the fly for multiple platforms Mac, Linux and Windows. The UI is super clean and very intuitive. And it can be used for Security compliance, secure directory in the cloud and even as a secure credential for many SSO applications. They offer a Free plan that is perfect for small teams and to learn how to use it. You can use it for Personal or Professional purposes and it can be configured to meet your needs. It also offers integrations with other software like Duo to enable multi factor authentication and other security features. I also like they offer a certification exam so we can validate our knowledge of the platform and make implementations easier and cost effective with our own IT personnel. This is the best option for Cloud Directory in the cloud, there's no other option that meet all the options and configurations that JumpCloud offers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really. It requires to have some experience to manage and configure but it’s really easy to learn and they provide a lot of training and support to make it easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Management of users that have access to AWS EC2 machines. We use JumpCloud for authentication and management of resources in the cloud.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You can integrate with other applications such as DuoSecurity to add 2FA to your resources.

Great product at the right price

  • February 19, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I liked the easy to setup integrations with vendors like AWS , GitHub and Atlassian. You can start small with a free edition but quickly find yourself using Jumpcloud user panel to login to all your resources. Its secured by MFA and is fully compliant.
What do you dislike about the product?
I was not able to apply GPOs using JumpCloud so i still need either MDM or AD to retain control over compliance of my windows severs
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was able to implement true SSO login setup for some of my products but I am still unable to manage my fleet of servers. I still need to somehow manage things like centralized updates NTP and log management GPO settings

Directory Service for all device types

  • February 19, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Simple to set up and manage - it just works! We've been able to remove servers from a number of client's offices, saving them money. It is especially effective in mixed OS environments.
What do you dislike about the product?
As with any new technology ,there is a learning curve, which isn't much, but it is different way to work. Out side of that, it is pretty straightforward to set up and manage. We initially did not have a mangement dashboard, so we had to set up different accounts for each of our clients. We've been able con consolidate no and it is much simpler to manage multiple clients.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. We have a number of smaller clients that had AD servers that we're nearing replacement. We used JumpCloud to get them better service at a lower cost.
2. We are working with a couple of companies with mixed Windows and Mac environments and AD won't cut it. JumpCloud cuts it.
3. Having the first 10 clients at no cost has helped our smaller clients.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I put a lot of value in how support works and theirs's has been very good.

Cloud Directory Services

  • February 19, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We imported our Google Workspace users for testing and very quickly worked through testing a synchronized identity. JumpCloud's user interface, both for Administrator and User groups is simple and clean.
What do you dislike about the product?
While it's been challenging to find an MDM solution that accomplishes ALL our goals in one space, JumpCloud has the directory services we need. So now, we're working through migrating MDM or utilizing two services when the goal is a single integrated solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Identity management without an AD server in our Mac/Linux organization as we prepare to double the number of people connected and capable of working remotely through 2021.

We are still on the cusp of refactoring our testing to evaluate JumpCloud as the complete identity and MDM solution, but testing takes time and planning. What's been great is having minimal to zero impact on user productivity following updates to JumpCloud managing the identity.
