Reviewing Jumpcloud
What do you like best about the product?
what i do like best about jumpcloud is i can easily manage accounts and work profile. i can easily add delete edit even lock and unlock the accounts.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wouldnt say i dislike butim not really familiar with MDM
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me to identify or manage accounts.

Great tool for IDP and for authentication
What do you like best about the product?
this helps us to authenticate the employee faster and seure way to access our internal application and aslo the VPN and many other tools

drag and drop functionality is missing like okta

JumpCloud and JumpCloud Password Manager
What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud is a great LDAP alternative to Windows Active Directory as well as the JumpCloud SSO functionality, which is very convenient in my day-to-day workflow
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, my experience with the JumpCloud LDAP and SSO has been great. However, the JumpCloud password manager (Chrome extension) has a bug that sometimes reveals my password when fields are automatically filled or even manually filled.
The worst experience was, while on a Google Meet conference, I was sharing my screen during the video call and had to sign in to a website, when I used JumpCloud password manager, it filled in the username and password field, but it revealed my password during that call WHICH WAS RECORDED (so I had to change my password immediately after that)
Another instance is when I'm logging in to our UniFi controller device, and when I go to Wireless networks to change the current WPA2-PSK, JumpCloud automatically fills that WPA2-PSK field with my saved UniFi controller password instead. After that, I had to stop using the JumpCloud password manager until that bug was fixed.

JumpCloud as a SaaS solve our LDAP needs, which means, we don't need to deploy an on-prem Windows Server Active Directory instead, which was very helpful.

Automation for future IT works, as well as flexibility, is an advantage compared to the current IT Infrastructure, tools, Ease of use, Ease of Implementation, ease of Integration, and great customer support

Currently, the feature missing with the jump cloud is the capability or feature of setting up Personal Identity and the equivalent policy associated with it
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Right now, they are working on Product and Engineering teams are working on incorporating a feature that enables Self-Service Account Provisioning for multiple users. Which will equate to the active Directory. Once this is complete we may be able to maximize our equipments better

The interface is really nice, i can find really quick whatever setting or space im looking for.
Different integration are very helpful, importing users from other software is so easy.

What do you dislike about the product?
would like tohave more documentation. User creation on devices sometimes takes a lot of time...need to use powershell to force the sync

We keep track of everysingle device assign to users, we maange policies that we want to implememt on specific group target, remote support is also a feature we are using a lot

What do you like best about the product?
Combination of simplicity, flexibility, and scalability that makes JumpCloud stand out.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited customization options for reporting. While JumpCloud does offer various insights and logs, some users may find the reporting features not as granular or flexible as they'd like, especially when compared to more mature IAM solutions.
But overall, it's a solid product, just with a few areas that could benefit from further polish or flexibility.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud provides a way to manage not just user identities but also the devices those users are using, whether they’re laptops, desktops, or mobile devices. This centralized management makes it easier to enforce security policies, install updates, or lock down devices when necessary.

Im more into work profile creating and asset tracking. Jumpcloud helps me to track who are the users of the laptops or desktop who wasnt register on our system.

What do you like best about the product?
With the help of JumpCloud, organizations are able to handle the identities of users, their authentication, and permissions for different systems (which include Macs, Windows, Linux, cloud applications) through one set of credentials. This makes the process of authorizing users more efficient and increases the level of security.
What do you dislike about the product?
JumpCloud is definitely well equipped with strong foundational tools however, when it comes to some touches and aspects (Such as UI changes or certain policy configurations) users would most probably be somewhat disadvantaged as compared to using completely tailor-made inhouse or other directory solutions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organizations have the ability to transfer the management and administrative load of legacy systems to the cloud as well as the fundamental costs related to setting up an on - premises infrastructure. They can grow fast, without having to care about hardware servers or ever needing constant upgrades, and put most of their efforts into implementing strategic IT projects instead.

The Helpful side of this jumpcloud is the easiest way to manage like deploying policies specially for the Scripts

Some services from JumpCloud may cause slow performance on the desktop.

What is really important to me and my team is different features in one place,easy to comprehend , easy to set it up and easy to manage. It has a great support team, and documentation.

i cant think of something at the moment, we have had a great experience with jumpcloud so far.

In our team we have also woring students that support us with our workflow..and so far there has been no need for me as teamlead to onboard them on this tool, the documentation is so useful. We have spared a lot of time and efforts.
