Smartsheet’s off to a good start but should polish/improve its core before adding more features.
What do you like best about the product?
Form entry and collaboration aspects are really good. Its easy to learn and quick to setup a sheet for use.
What do you dislike about the product?
They are missing some key improvements that would make the software really helpful. This includes: api calls in automations, adding more automation actions and triggers, fix user fields in form fields, better admin tools for permission controls (mainly around which columns user can and cannot edit), advanced multicolumn or tab user forms, and way more formulas (steal a lot from excel).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its helping us with organizing and ensuring small short tasks are complete within our organization. It also helps with driving process compliance.
Smartsheet is Useful but it should e able to copy paste from Excel
What do you like best about the product?
I like how it can create graphs and other visual dashboards.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't copy/paste from Excel which makes it harder to upload infromation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet makes it easy to create datasheets that multiple users can collaborate on at the same time. This feature is especially helpful for documents that require input from several people working together. Additionally, it provides a convenient way to organize and store a large number of files in one place.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to have an attachment for each row helps with organization of documents.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downsides would be the latency of Smartsheet. Sometimes, it would have long load time, especially when refreshing the page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The solution that Smartsheet has helped with is the ability to have attachments to each row. It allows us to archive our paperwork digitally.
Very robust, versatile, user driven platform
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet offers a myriad of ways to capture, work with, and view your data points. Out of the box, it is practically a blank slate, offering the user with multiple options to tweak their solution so that it meets their unique needs. The newer features in Smartsheet are also aesthetically pleasing. When Smartsheet is successfully integrated, I have seen it used for many different use cases, with people popping in and out of the platform throughout their day to fulfill many different job responsibilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
With great power comes great responsibility, and the sandbox environment provided by Smartsheet can sometimes result in workflows that feel cumbersome and don't run smoothly until the user has invested significant effort to set things up correctly. Implementing Smartsheet requires a considerable amount of time, as users are responsible for building everything themselves. While Smartsheet does offer templates that help close some of this gap, someone still needs to put in the groundwork and provide training to help team members locate and interact with their assets after they've been created. Proper sharing of these assets is also essential. Although Smartsheet is working to enhance the asset browsing experience, we currently find ourselves in a transitional phase between the old and new interfaces, which leaves new users feeling confused and experienced users feeling frustrated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet has allowed us to capture data from many different sources and bring them into a unified space. Our Project Managers are finding the platform essential for mapping out complex, long-term Project Plans and bringing stakeholders in for visibility. Smartsheet Forms are allowing us to capture work items needing to be performed throughout our company. Managers are then able to schedule and manage these tasks, ensuring their employees aren't double booked. Our workers are then able to take action on these tasks and see everything they need to do in one place.
My Experience with Smartsheet
What do you like best about the product?
I think the most useful part of Smartsheet is the API the platform has. It's very easy for my code to interface with and takes little to no time at all for the data pulls and inserts using it. The backend workers as Smartsheet are clearly doing an amazing job and they are always working to better refine their systems, and it shows!
What do you dislike about the product?
On the other side of this, the lack of automated data flow hurts my workflow. I realize that if you opt in for the more expensive plan, DataShuttle is included. However, from what I have seen and how this package works, it just doesn't justify paying more for the little help that DataShuttle offers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet keeps our office organized. The higher ups enjoy the top-down approach Smartsheet provides to viewing data and it's incredibly useful for the lower rungs and data grunts, such as myself, to be able to leverage such a useful online database. It allows to consistently keep track of our figures and communication without worrying about the service being behind, like you see with sharepoint or shared microsoft files.
Changes the way your team works together with project stakeholders
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet allows you to pull together project data from all aspects of the project and present them in easy to interpret reports and dashboards customised to reflect the needs of the client, project team and management.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are still some limitations including the inability to write report results to a sheet dynamic drop downs based upon a source list, etc. These gaps are regularly addressed via updates to the product but still need more growth. Integration to power platforms is almost non existent and the documentation around power automate is very poor. Integration with task management tools needs to be improved and expanded to the office 365 platform. It makes no sense to offer teams integration but not offer planner integration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping project managers and clients informed on progress and status and getting customers actively involved in the project.
Great tool that require some learning curve to create powerful tables and tracking

The possibility for automation and sending automatic email to add data (and do it directly from email)

Need someone very knowledgeable to build the initial system
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
automation after events to capture data (example attendance and qualitative information like " should we do this event again"?
A lot of crucial links in one place!
What do you like best about the product?
Important documents and links are at your fingertips. These links are used on a daily basis and easy to access.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not customized to each location but does not give option to put N/A or not used. So sometimes you don't know if you should be using certain things or doing certain tests.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organization. Keeping crucial documenting in one place.
New to Smartsheet
What do you like best about the product?
Easy of use and very flexible to many different uses. Right now we have replace a OneNote notebook that was being used heavily for PMO work and now standing up a ticketing system for another department with a very small volume of tickets.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can take some time to become familiar with the icons on the side and to distinguish between a sheet, a workspace, or a report.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem we encountered was that our OneNote files became corrupted. When we attempted to restore them, we discovered that backing up OneNote files is essentially ineffective unless the files were backed up locally on the computer. This made the recovery process very frustrating.

What do you like best about the product?
collaborative space, very useful for tracking projects and sales
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it takes a long time for the information to pull from one smartsheet to another. Also, sometimes I need to add extra lines to paste a pre-set template that has formulas for the formulas to work, it's an extra step that seems inconvenient at times, otherwise very useful tool
