Crucial for internal and external learning
What do you like best about the product?
I love being able to pick apart every conversation. You can easily point to things like value props, next steps, timelines, etc. to catch things you may have missed in the conversation for external selling. But also internally, you can easily identify how much you are talking vs. how long the prospect was talking or what words you might say too much.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing at this point, only been using a few months.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are always striving to be the best sales reps and figure out where we may have missed the ball and with Gong recording we can easily identify that.

I couldn't imagine (don't know how we did this in the past) doing my webcalls without Gong.
What do you like best about the product?
I like what it does:
1. Reliability - joins the calls when suppose to
2. Making quick notes on the videos and how it time stamps them for you.
3. Having videos to go back to for a later review of a call.
4. Being able to search my colleagues videos as well (sometimes with the same client).

What do you dislike about the product?
1. The quality. Of course, it is understandable due to the compression the quality has to be reduced. In rare cases, the details are important but not always visible on the screen.
2. It doesn't join the ad hoc calls. Not sure if it is a current "bug" or what, but when you manually add a meeting on gong.io and insert the GTM webconference link, it will not join a call. Works well with scheduled in advance meetings.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reducing redundancy - I can refer to my colleague's video with the same customer instead of reaching out back to the customer for the same information.
The ability to go back and review the call later. We do a lot of troubleshooting calls that later has to be passed along to the dev team. It helps to remember to review the call and document it later. Our dev team can also review the calls, which is great.

Effective, High Quality
What do you like best about the product?
The product features both recently released and older ones. It is super helpful to see the subjects/painpoints addressed in the call, the talk time (and ratios) by each person, and then being able to assign it to a particular category for the team to review and learn from as well - that is super valuable.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UX and UI could be more intuitive. The workflows aren't currently at that level and the organization of gong is lacking. I'm looking forward to a better organized dashboard to complement the rest of the product's ease of use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bottomline, Gong cultivates awareness of the sales rep and the team at large. It really helps you recognize what you're addressing during your calls, and in doing so, helps you realize what you're not touching upon in your sales calls that is probably worth addressing. I like being able to see what my colleagues calls consist of as well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would encourage others to try out Gong as it addresses and coaches you on the basics needed to be a successful sales professional. It is super helpful to see your dialogue with a prospect or opportunity analyzed so you know what you need to improve upon.for future calls. Of course, it's also super helpful to be able to go back to a particularly strong call and see from a metrics perspective what about that call made it strong. I definitely recommend to any other sales professional! Give it a shot :)
Super simple to get Gong going
What do you like best about the product?
I have been very impressed with how simple it was to get started with Gong. The Speech to Text is accurate. This can make note taking after a call significantly easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not directly a Gong issue but there is no integration to Salesforce Professional edition.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The Speech to Text is accurate. This can make note taking after a call significantly easier. It can be hard to keep track of what goes on in calls. Gong makes it easy to find the exact spot in calls where certain topics were discussed. This makes it fast to find key points and then use it in your discovery and consulting with customers. You can then easily use their own words to then present a solution for the customer that will connect with them.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a coaching tool for sales calls Gong is a great option. The bigger time sink will be going through and reviewing the constant flow of new calls if you don't have a bit of a plan on how you are going to handle the call recordings it can get overwhelming.

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it's confusing if Gong is integrated with other applications, not consistent when I receive an email with teh recording of if I'm joining a call that's not recorded, I don't always know in advance that I won't be able to refer back to it. Neither of these issues really take away from the product, would just be nice to have.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can go back to old calls and review conversations from other points in the sales process or customer life cycle instead of having to bug clients for info we already have
Really helpful for more than just sales
What do you like best about the product?
I love that I have access to real conversations, not just summarized notes from my team. I love the easy search function which allows us to glean insights from prospects and customers and easily share those exact comments, verbatim to our product team. The tagging and searching is really what makes this an extremely valuable tool for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be time consuming to pour through and listen to so many calls. I wish there was an auto summary function or a red flag AI that could save me some of the effort.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My sales team us using it for deep sales coaching, where as as the VP of CS for my company, I use it to coach my CSMs on how to run better QBRs, expansion and up-sell opportunity and rapport building. It's also extremely useful for having Product hear the same exact conversations that our sales reps are having vs just hearing the summarized version from the AE, which is usually tainted by their own agenda.

We have primarily used Gong to record our sales calls to break them down.

Gong for Sales
What do you like best about the product?
I love how Gong creates a centralized database for all of my calls (and my colleagues) to review in the future. It helps me keep details in line, and also grow my product knowledge/ techniques by reviewing my colleagues calls.
What do you dislike about the product?
The word tracking functionality could be improved- sometimes I cannot find the relevant point in a conversation based on key words I search.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As an Enterprise Account Executive, each day is jam packed with calls, prospecting, negotiation, and continuing my product knowledge. Sometimes I don't have time to log my notes immediately following a demo, and details are forgotten by the end of the day. Gong allows me to easily sort through my conversations, retake notes, and listen to previous calls with accounts from months ago. It keeps me knowledgeable where I left off, so I don't miss any important details that will help me close a deal.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend using Gong, if your company has a culture of sharing knowledge internally. It is extremely useful to provide feedback to your team on calls, and share recordings for learning purposes to teammates.
Gong Keeping Track
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate the detail to analyze each individual's vocal contribution and the trends that come along with that data. Trying to avoid fillers is much easier when they can be identified!
What do you dislike about the product?
I do think it is a bit difficult to share externally to individuals who are not a part of our internal organization. There doesn't seem to be a way to add an email that isn't recognized other than to open up the sharing to everyone. Maybe I'm missing a feature?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are improving our customer touches with Gong and able to ramp up new team members by sharing previous engagements. This is a very valuable feature!
Very useful
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to go back and review your own calls is beyond helpful with selling, more particular, negotiating. On top of that it is vital for training.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing as of right now. It's very useful.

Helps to streamline the sales talk track, go back on conversation to ensure proper delivery and training.
