Gong is super effective to evaluate where you need to improve your Sales

  • October 02, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it specifies what has been talked about the most that way I can analyze what the customer really needs before the follow up call.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't really have anything I dislike, I feel Join.me is the reason most calls aren't recorded properly
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving the needs of my customers. Really pinpointing what I need to improve, as an individual.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use IT!!

Indispensable tool for growing sales teams

What do you like best about the product?
Gong makes it incredibly easy to record calls, organize by topic, and spread that "tribal knowledge" throughout a sales team. It's easy to get set up and know that Gong will automatically record your calls for later review and sharing. I love the playback speed controls (1.25X, 1.5X, 2X) so I can review calls quickly and spend less time doing it. The transcriptions make it easy to find calls related to certain topics or competitive scenarios as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI feels a little outdated--it's not clunky so much as it is just a little plain. I'm sure the design will improve with time and it does not interfere with the functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes 1:1s with my manager more effective, as I can quickly pull up specific points in a call for feedback and coaching, and new hires can go into the tool to listen to specific topics, people, or types of calls. I like reviewing my calls to find ways to improve, quickly go back in a call to find a point I didn't take notes on, and hear the nuances I may have missed the first time that can help pull a deal along.

EHS & Quality Professional

What do you like best about the product?
It's a great tool to manage conversations that were had with clients and colleagues. Gong has the ability to track key moments in a conversation through specific wordings used, that in turn allow the user to precisely locate certain sections of the conversation.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface could be improved and have less of a dull tone
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Not every individual has the greatest memory to record all moments and details of what they spoke about with clients. To have a bank of those conversations you previously had and track certain phases used in those convos, allows you to find the exact detail you are looking for when need be.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy Gong is to use; it is literally integrated with everything I need it to be.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is in every call. There should be an option to include gong at the beginning.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sometimes, things slip the memory and it is useful to go back and read what interested the potential prospect.

What do you like best about the product?
The best part of Gong is the way they break down the speakers in the call, highlight when each participant is talking and the topics that were covered throughout the call. Also great are the keyword that are shown on each call.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sharing the call recordings with prospects could be a little cleaner - but overall still works well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Better attention to calls with prospects
- Better follow up emails
- Great for coaching sales reps
- Great for getting full context on alls

Great Tool to Review Calls

  • October 02, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I often use Gong to re-listen to phone calls or to listen to meetings that I missed. Being able to pause calls and take notes is extremely helpful and useful in holding a productive and effective call with clients. I don't have to shift my focus during the call to take notes or worry about missing items. Also love that you can speed up the call when listening back, I often do this when I want to get an overview, but don't need to worry about retaining everything.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm overall really happy with the service, no current dislikes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use this to re-listen to very technical calls. If I am unable to make a call between clients and our development team, it's important that as a point of contact that I understand everything going on. I like being able to re-listen to calls and to pause calls to take notes, and better understand the customer's CMS or technical issues, for example.

Gong for Technical Sales [Sales Engineer]

  • October 02, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As a Sales Engineer, it's critical that I remember the technical details of each call. Gong makes it easy to go back, search for and find relevant details whether it's a conversation or something shared on screen.
What do you dislike about the product?
The recording's video resolution could use a boost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
These are numerous. I'm in sales, so it makes things way smoother than having to go back and ask for something to be clarified, or worst case making a guess incorrectly.
