Easy to Use

The user interface is very intuitive. Had no trouble jumping in and navigating my call the very first time.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform doesn't seem to understand accents in multinational discussions very well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was able to use the platform to review the content of a call for coaching.

Good service for call recording and coaching
What do you like best about the product?
Transparency into calls across the company. You have the ability to improve your own calls by listening to others, and Gong allows for comments to easily be provided to help others improve. You can also loop in managers for feedback on specific parts of calls.
What do you dislike about the product?
Very sales-driven tool. Not enough customization for other non-sales entities in the company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving how to collectively improve our call qualities. Benefits are immediate and actionable call improvements.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great for sales teams.
Amazing sales tool!
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to send clients recordings of demonstrations
What do you dislike about the product?
Can send clips of call, have to send full length
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sales reviews, feedback from colleagues, client sharing
Recommendations to others considering the product:
- Being able to send snippits to clients
- being able to trim recordings for internal use

Powerful tool for sales reps and their managers
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to 'zoom in' to the performance of outliers in the team and analyze the reasons for their success / failure is unprecedented. This is the only scalable solution I'm familiar with.
What do you dislike about the product?
My company requires support of 10's of languages which is still a work in process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to validate, replicate and share success, but also to identify nuances and create better alignment on the sales floor.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
These guys are so far ahead of the curve - it's amazing.
A great tool to review past calls
What do you like best about the product?
It is great to have the ability to look back on previous calls to ensure that our sales cycle is consistent and hits on all of the prospect's needs. There's nothing worse than not quite remembering a minor detail that you didn't write down but became more important at a later point.
What do you dislike about the product?
When on a Zoom call, the "company recorder" user is not very discrete.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Consistency throughout sales cycles, better than taking hand written notes, sharing good calls with other team members.
Best video recording intelligence software
What do you like best about the product?
• Effortlessly capture all calls and make them available to the whole team, including screenshare and who is speaking
• Share specific timecodes with people
• Share specific timecodes with people
What do you dislike about the product?
• Could use better mobile experience. Not sure if this already exists: "star" or highlight certain calls and add them to the "listen later" list, which would show up on a mobile app for very easy mobile listening. If you do this, could probably build something simple for Alexa, too.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
• Learn from others
• Get better at demos
• Get and share customer feedback internaly

Helpful sales training software, worth the subscription
What do you like best about the product?
Gong is great for recording sales calls and demos to review later or provide for training. The integration with google calendar and gotomeeting makes it very easy to add the recording tech to your call.
What do you dislike about the product?
The transcription needs a lot of work and labeling/ sorting calls should be easier. It pulls in the calendar invitation name, but needs more options for call tagging and categorization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Very helpful when note-taking isn't enough or when you want to not have to split attention between meeting and notes. Helpful for training of new employees.
Crucial for internal and external learning
What do you like best about the product?
I love being able to pick apart every conversation. You can easily point to things like value props, next steps, timelines, etc. to catch things you may have missed in the conversation for external selling. But also internally, you can easily identify how much you are talking vs. how long the prospect was talking or what words you might say too much.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing at this point, only been using a few months.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are always striving to be the best sales reps and figure out where we may have missed the ball and with Gong recording we can easily identify that.
I couldn't imagine (don't know how we did this in the past) doing my webcalls without Gong.
What do you like best about the product?
I like what it does:
1. Reliability - joins the calls when suppose to
2. Making quick notes on the videos and how it time stamps them for you.
3. Having videos to go back to for a later review of a call.
4. Being able to search my colleagues videos as well (sometimes with the same client).

What do you dislike about the product?
1. The quality. Of course, it is understandable due to the compression the quality has to be reduced. In rare cases, the details are important but not always visible on the screen.
2. It doesn't join the ad hoc calls. Not sure if it is a current "bug" or what, but when you manually add a meeting on gong.io and insert the GTM webconference link, it will not join a call. Works well with scheduled in advance meetings.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reducing redundancy - I can refer to my colleague's video with the same customer instead of reaching out back to the customer for the same information.
The ability to go back and review the call later. We do a lot of troubleshooting calls that later has to be passed along to the dev team. It helps to remember to review the call and document it later. Our dev team can also review the calls, which is great.

Effective, High Quality
What do you like best about the product?
The product features both recently released and older ones. It is super helpful to see the subjects/painpoints addressed in the call, the talk time (and ratios) by each person, and then being able to assign it to a particular category for the team to review and learn from as well - that is super valuable.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UX and UI could be more intuitive. The workflows aren't currently at that level and the organization of gong is lacking. I'm looking forward to a better organized dashboard to complement the rest of the product's ease of use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bottomline, Gong cultivates awareness of the sales rep and the team at large. It really helps you recognize what you're addressing during your calls, and in doing so, helps you realize what you're not touching upon in your sales calls that is probably worth addressing. I like being able to see what my colleagues calls consist of as well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would encourage others to try out Gong as it addresses and coaches you on the basics needed to be a successful sales professional. It is super helpful to see your dialogue with a prospect or opportunity analyzed so you know what you need to improve upon.for future calls. Of course, it's also super helpful to be able to go back to a particularly strong call and see from a metrics perspective what about that call made it strong. I definitely recommend to any other sales professional! Give it a shot :)
