Best Security No-Code Platform I used
What do you like best about the product?
Simple to use, very easy to start and onboard as a user, also, the free trial is a huge differentiator
What do you dislike about the product?
One small thing, but it's very picky, the code editor pane could be a bit bigger but that's just me wanting to read things in huge screens
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tines fully integrate with the product I manage and helps me automate my product's security workflow.

Super simple, intuitive, and fast.
What do you like best about the product?
Tines abstracts away a great deal of nitty-gritty details I would otherwise have to figure out how to code in, especially for HTTP Requests. It's also super cool that you can interact with a Tines story in real-time, allowing easy debugging and the ability to automate things like Form inputs -> any Action.
What do you dislike about the product?
Learning how to work through some of the iterative actions features/functions can take a while to get used to, and in terms of Tines v. scripting in some programming language, sometimes it takes a bit of engineering to get the correct logic working in Tines.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tines solves the problem of me having to think hard about what variables to provide HTTP requests. It also solves the issue of using shared credentials without credential exposure; its ability to hide credential values and making it easy to revoke them/restrict them to use across a specific domain is absolutely great in terms of security.
So easy a non-coder can use it!
What do you like best about the product?
I love the marketplace with predefined playbooks built-in Tines. They classify how easy or hard they are to use. The drag-and-drop feature also is really easy to build playbooks.
What do you dislike about the product?
The search function in the marketplace can be clunky. For example, I know a playbook is built, but it's hard to find.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tines is removing the manual updates I would make in a departing employee workflow.
Versatile automation platform
What do you like best about the product?
Playbooks layout is a great design choice for automation usecases. I love that I can browse existing automations and get inspired by them or even just import them. What's ultimately great is that Tines focusses on small but core set of automation building blocks that will help achieve most autmation usecases. Another reason for us to go with Tines was that we could try it in the community version first without having to talk with sales people.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does have a bit of a learning curve and not all automation scenarios are immediatly clearly layed out in how they can be achieved especially when dealing with legacy infrastructure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solve various automation use-cases for us in the IAM space but also CSPM and endpoint security area. It's also a great fit for vulnerability assessment and remediation needs.
Simple automation for everyone!
What do you like best about the product?
- Simple easy to understand functions that can allow you to create complex stories.
- No coding skills required
- Pre-built templates that allow you to get started with tines straighaway with popular vendors.
- Really useful and helpful training videos/documentation/bootcamps that allows you to understand how to use Tines in a simple format.
- Community Edition to learn how to use Tines and play around.

What do you dislike about the product?
- It is pretty expensive when compared to competitors, however this is offset by the fact that Tines is far simpler to understand and learn, which in itself could offset the cost of Tines in terms of time taken to learn other more complex products.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- We are using it to automate some of our securoty processes that are considered quite mundane. We have a few stories in place that saves as at least 10 mins and that adds up thorugh out the day.
A must have for anyone look to automate their security!
What do you like best about the product?
The pre-made templates are great for giving you ideas you may not have thought of previously.
What do you dislike about the product?
If I had to pick one thing it would be that I cannot view my own credentials such as API tokens etc that I have stored as variables.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I personally use it to create Okta alerting, given that this feature is not native to Okta it's a fantastic use of Tines. I use it to alert on any Okta admin-related changes as well as unusual logins from other countries.
Smooth and exciting
What do you like best about the product?
We are able to create easy automation that is customizable to our business. It's easy to learn, the tool itself is great and we can save a lot of time on things we don't want to do manually! Excited to see the tool grow as well
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the documentation was clear, however, it needs more of an update in my opinion. I think it would be way more helpful if directions or possibilities were more clear to follow. It just takes up more time to figure something out sometimes because of this but outside of that - I'm very happy with it!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tines would be used for our whole security org which I think is fantastic because it would be a hub for us all to achieve the same thing. It will be benefiting the team I am in for reminders. less manual work so that we can focus on other key areas for our business
Tines Automation Experience as an Engineer
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy Tines as an automation platform as well as its ability to implement other web applications with zero code involved.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think an option of having SOME code would be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automation. It helps create automation tasks which are simpler and efficient for me.
Workflow Building At It's Finest
What do you like best about the product?
I'll be honest; it's a lot of information to process when using the platform for the first time. But knowing that Tines support team are always there 100% can easily assist you and guide you on how to build a workflow to your exact liking.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since I'm a beginner to the Tines platform, I would say not being familiar with the functions, tools, and verbiage when creating your own story. However, working with Tines support and enough practice I'm sure I'll be able to overcome that blocker.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem that Tines is solving for me is that we currently have a different automation platform that isn't cutting it while Tines allows us to build our very own story to the way we want it vs the way it's provided.
Flexible & Scalable for Any Use Case
What do you like best about the product?
Tines can be used by engineers with low comfort coding and engineers who love to build complex systems. There's flexibility to how you approach your own "no code" setup. This allows it to be approachable by security engineers but also folks in other departments. Tines also continues to push out features asked for by customers in record time. Any feature that you need, they'll consider building (not just putting on a roadmap for two years from now).
What do you dislike about the product?
Tines did not have all the features that I initially wanted when onboarding but since that point they've seriously upped their feature list.
Another downside is there isn't a way to complete code reviews for design similar to how PRs work within Github. This can lead to sloppy or confusing story development.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tines is solving our need for a security automation tool but outside of that we've built more complex engineering workflows to replace running scripts in a Lambda for processing of data / alerts / etc.
