Tines makes complicated automations / stories easy to design / deploy.
What do you like best about the product?
The GUI is straightforward and focused on providing the most efficient & quick way to design/deploy a story.
The out of the box stories are really good and cover a lot of the common usecases.
The out of the box stories are really good and cover a lot of the common usecases.
What do you dislike about the product?
Managing the context of the story, debugging and running tests should be easier, stories should be integrated with Github so that you can back up and also write/adjust stories as Code.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Most of the informative tasks, such as alert delivery, alert context enrichment, user interactions (replaces SOC tier 1) and automatic workflows for investigating incidents.

Tines is really easy to use SOAR
What do you like best about the product?
No code needs to be written when creating a story.
Supports various systems.
One JSON with all the data from the story it's great.
I have tried various competitors, and Tines is the best so far.

What do you dislike about the product?
You cannot drag JSON variables from previous data straight to another story point.
When creating a story, the data should always be displayed in a pane, then you will be able to use the relevant key for next story points.

Security automation.
It saves time on almost all of our daily tasks, which is impressive.
Now we can deal more with engineering and less with analysis tasks.
It should improve production soon.

Customised automation
What do you like best about the product?
Prior to Tines, I've used a couple of tools for automation, but most of them require the integration of tools to be supported. With Tines, I can automate processes that I struggled with before.
What do you dislike about the product?
It has a steep learning curve for new users. It can get frustrating to figure things out in the beginning.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tines allows me to customise my automations to a granular level.
SOAR your way to security response
What do you like best about the product?
Tines is easy to use and comes with many (useful) pre-configured templates to use. Tines enables fast development of SOAR pipelines and frees up time to focus on getting up and running with SOAR, rather than learning complex integrations, coding and endless testing to make playbooks a reality.
What do you dislike about the product?
I love that there are 3 playbooks available for FREE in the Community edition and hope that these stay as they are for now - this is a great way to enable smaller companies to demonstrate the power of Tines first to drive adoption and help with business cases - there is talk of this maybe changing to 1 playbook for the Community edition which would be a shame.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tines enables us to scale our security operations and reduce time to response, which is critical for a smaller security team and as we scale our team in the future it will allow us to focus on proactive security operations rather than reactive fire-fighting.
Tines Awesomeness of Automation
What do you like best about the product?
We are still in the reviewing phase of Tines, however we have attended few bootcamps, and did one separate demo session with Tines team and it was fabulous. It amaze me how much we can do to automate complex stuff without or little coding. Though I am not a coder and with Tines don't need to be a coder to automate the stuff I am looking for.
What do you dislike about the product?
For some complex automation part, it requires to add some variables within the code part - if you are completely naive with the coding, might give you little bit hard time but they have Actions templates which can definitely help you out to figure things out of it.. Nothing much to dislike for now..

We are looking for our EDR solution since we are MSSP, and its going to help us TON!!! Automating EDR alerting, enrichment of the alerts, domains, SHA/HASH values, URLs much more.. The best part is, I can integrate it with all the tools we are using in our company which is easily compatible with Tines.. Thats what I love it!!
Pain free automation
What do you like best about the product?
Tines is an easy to use platform for creating SOAR workflows. Out of the box it includes a huge number of pre-existing integrations for the most popular solutions for each space in InfoSec. Creating additional integrations is very straight forward, and even if a pre-existing solution for any particular integration doesn't exist, modifying a solution for a similar service is quick and easy. I found Tines while getting frustrated at attempting to automate some API calls, and it's changed my workflow in just a few days. 10/10
What do you dislike about the product?
"No Code" may not be the right way to look at this product. Nothing will ever work on the first try, and if you can't edit the events from the code, it's unlikely you'll be able to get the events working as expected. I believe "Low-code" would be most appropriate
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tines is allowing our small Information Security team to get automation built out, in a manner normally reserved for a team with a dedicated employee working on SOAR. Just a little time, here and there, is all Tines requires of us.
Simple to use but powerful enough to extend
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to rapidly evaluate the solution proved to be one of the biggest selling points. Once I was on the platform, I was also able to complete simple automation tasks in short order but also had the confidence that a user with less technical abilities would have little difficulty in accomplishing the same thing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not entirely a dislike, but I think the support for user-created extensions to the platform should be explored more. The building blocks are there but I think creating user-generated action templates could be an improvement. The product is continuously evolving so this may have been solved since this review was written.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tines core business is solving the problem of automation in the security space and I think it's delivering on this model. Where it excels above the dozens of other competitors in the market is definitely on ease of use.
Tines SOAR use-case is extremely powerful
What do you like best about the product?
Tines has allowed our SOC to build a world-class automation platform servicing our end clients with deeply enriched and triaged security events while saving our blue team hundreds of hours per week. Compared to other automation/SOAR platforms, the platform's simplicity is notable without sacrificing the power or complexity of potential workflows. The best part of Tines is that it integrates into any service that has an API.
What do you dislike about the product?
Being an on-prem customer, we experienced some hardships with performance as we continued to scale up with the platform. Having recommended settings for levels of processed events would have saved us some significant headaches; additionally, documentation on first-time integration into popular SIEMs or other platforms would be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tines contributes to solving issues such as analyst burnout, lowering false positives for security detections, real-time threat intelligence, and allowing us to scale quickly.
Great tool. Very effective and easy use!
What do you like best about the product?
Drag and Drop is very easy. Performing full array manipulation is actually quite simple. Logic is built into the product and the support teams are all really great at providing useful information, instruction and examples.
What do you dislike about the product?
The licencing model is based on the number of stories and Teams. There are issues with limiting the number of teams with RBAC roles. However, TInes have made huge progress in getting it more usable across teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is our SOAR tool, IT operations automation tool, Governance at the touch of a button and a reporting tool (ingest and export). All these things previously took so much time. Now many are fully automated, many save significant time.
Tines provide easy and simplified automations with integrations eliminating need to know indepth API
What do you like best about the product?
Predefined modules and customizable features be it REST API call or using an Autobot with JWT or other integrations, all of the options are simplified and easy to use, if you have complex work cases, Tines can be an extremely good resource.
What do you dislike about the product?
A couple of improvement suggestions can be on the UI front where the logs are displayed separately and variables are shown on a different panel. Additionally a version control system can be there which reflects changes done on each action or object.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tines is solving problems which relate to interaction of different platforms which natively do not have an association or integration, however, they provide seamless data exchange and operational analytics on the data as well as notification on another platforms for the easy of use of data across various places. This is benefiting our team to not do a multi step process to reach to an analytical solution, and have tines do the background effort.
