What do you like best about the product?
Twilio SendGrid Marketing Campaigns serves a dual purpose within our organization: It enables automated email delivery on the platform side and also facilitates the distribution of newsletters and other communications to customers by the marketing team. As a result, both the engineering and marketing teams rely on this tool. An important benefit of using this technology is that it allows the engineering team to seamlessly switch out emails as needed, which addresses a key business challenge.
What do you dislike about the product?
One potential challenge of using Twilio SendGrid Email API is the need for a certain level of technical expertise to fully leverage the tool's capabilities. Setting up and configuring the API may require some programming knowledge, which could be a barrier for users without a technical background. Additionally, troubleshooting issues or resolving errors within the API may require advanced technical skills. However, Twilio SendGrid provides extensive documentation and support resources to help users navigate these challenges.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Twilio SendGrid Email API solves several problems related to email delivery, automation, and management. One major benefit is that it provides a reliable and scalable solution for sending high volumes of emails, such as marketing campaigns, transactional notifications, and other types of automated messages. This can be particularly useful for businesses with a large customer base, as it allows for personalized and targeted communication at scale.

The must try software to upgrade your cold email campaigns

  • February 28, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best part about Twilio SendGrid is it's ease of use. Uploading contacts and creating email campaigns is a seamless process and the analytics post the campaigns are detailed and helpful. SendGrid also allows for easy creation of email templates and our design team has been able to create high quality templates withembedded sign up forms on multiple occasions.
What do you dislike about the product?
While SendGrid is a tool that is useful on so many fronts - the pricing for the Pro Package is on the higher side. There are many newer startups coming out with cheaper tools for cold outreach and if you use SendGrid for just email campaigns- you might just switch because of the price.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SendGrid is really helping solve for better email deliverability - especially for cold email outreach campaigns. You can upgrade your emails and create more targeted campaigns through SendGrid

Easy Web API Integration with Perfect Statistics

  • February 15, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is straightforward to integrate using the API key. A dashboard to track opens, clicks, deliverability metrics, geographical data, unsubscribes, and bounce is excellent. Their unsubscribe group feature is their USB. We can easily add multiple sending domains on one account without limitations, which other ESP usually have; even domain authentication using SPF and DKIM is hassle-free using our domain cpanel. They even have an email id verification feature so that we can minimize our email bounce rate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing is a little costly even for bulk emails, but being a premium product with best-in-the-industry deliverability, it justifies its pricing somewhat. To check the email send activity of a particular user, only the last seven days' data is available; to extent the limit, we need to pay more.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Twilio SendGrid Email API to send our transactional and triggered emails, which include order tracking, order confirmation, support tickets, forgot passwords, and OTP emails. Using this email service API and aur inbuild system, we can easily send emails that to dynamic/personalized without facing any issues.

Highlighted review of my experience with Sendgrid.

  • January 30, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Automation: SendGrid offers robust automation capabilities, allowing my team to create personalized and targeted email engagement campaigns at scale. This has saved us time and improved the quality of engagement we get from targeted customers.

A/B Testing: SendGrid's A/B testing feature allows my team to test different aspects of our email engagement plan, such as subject lines and call-to-action buttons, to determine what works best and continuously optimize our email campaigns.
What do you dislike about the product?
SendGrid's spam filtering is not as effective as we would like, leading to a higher rate of our marketing emails being marked as spam. Furthermore, SendGrid's user interface tends to be overly complex and overwhelming to new users , making it difficult to navigate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Twilio SendGrid is what we are currently using to automate and send marketing messages to customers through emails. The most important benefit of SendGrid's email marketing is the ability to create personalized and unique email engagement with our customers at scale. We've leveraged Sendgrid to create complex workflows and trigger email engagements based on specific customer actions, further personalizing the engagement experiences of our customers and getting them to better interact with marketing emails, targeted at them.

Sendgrid made it easy for use to offer our customers a simple way to send emails from out application. We offer a CRM with full email intergration thanks to SendGrid.
What do you dislike about the product?
The most complicated part was getting it to work with our API and getting it setup on our customer's end (our customer's arent technical so setting up the correct DNS records can be a bit complicated.) Further, i got no complaints!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SendGrid has helped us provide a safe and easy solution for our customers to send emails from our CRM. SendGrid made it also a lot easier to have a clear overview of our mail activity and how much gets opened or not.

Clean and simple to use with good integration capabilities

  • November 30, 2022
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

They provide the APIs. So either you can use their platform to send the emails, or you can use the APIs, and you can connect it with your existing EMS, your Email Marketing Software. With that connection, you can send emails through the APIs.

I work with multiple clients. Based on their needs, my company uses this product. Basically, it is for sending bulk emails to customers. It is a legit bulk email - not any kind of spam. SendGrid is pretty restrictive on that. We follow all the compliance requirements and send via SendGrid.

What is most valuable?

There are lots of things that are quite good with SendGrid as compared to other platforms. For example, it is very easy to set up, and it is very clean and simple to use. The email integration is fairly easy, and I can say it is reliable.

It also allows you to implement services from other platforms as well. So you can have multiple things in a single place. We're using the API. They provide certain add-ons, like Azure add-ons. You can connect with Azure as well.

They have decent support in terms of any issues.

They have a nice dashboard as well. It gives almost all information in a single place, and it is scalable.

What needs improvement?

The reporting part needs improvement. They give us the reports on the dashboard, yet it is still very limited. In 2016, the reporting was straightforward. They have made some changes nowadays; however, they should be more comprehensive. We need to do a lot of manual work. After fetching the report, we have to do the data analysis by ourselves. It should be done by the platform.

For how long have I used the solution?

It's been more than five years now. I started using the product in 2016 - more than five years ago.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The solution is stable and robust. There are no bugs or glitches. It doesn't crash or freeze.

I'd rate the stability a ten out of ten.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The solution is scalable.

Right now, I'm using two IPs (per sub-users), with ± one million sends per day. However, if the requirement is to send 10 million in the coming months. I can easily upgrade and scale it up and add more IPs.

Anyone related to the email delivery part would use the solution. Anywhere from 30 to 40 people are using the solution right now.

How are customer service and support?

Technical support has been helpful and responsive.

Sometimes there are some gaps, so we have to wait for a longer period. Once we get a response, they end up solving issues very fast.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup is very simple and straightforward.

Their documentation is pretty good. If you go through that, you'll be able to easily set it up properly.

The first part of the deployment is a bit tricky. When you apply and fill in the signing form, they review it to see whether or not you are registered - which is a good thing since, nowadays, people are spamming a lot.

If a spammer gets access to a platform like this, they will be able to send multiple emails, and it could harm people. That's why they do due diligence, and they would like to know your history, how you want to send the email to people and whether the people you are sending to signed up with you or not. If they find that you are a legit sender, then only they will approve your account. That's the part that takes some time. Once it is approved, then it hardly takes a single day or two to finish the rest of the setup.

What about the implementation team?

I am a specialist, an MTA specialist, so I don't need anybody to help me with the setup or integration. I do it by myself.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

They have different plans, like Essential Pro and Premier support. We are on the Pro plan. The basic plan starts at €90 per month. You can do add-ons. For example, the number of emails that you want to send could be one million or more than 1.5 million plus emails per month. You will maybe need to use more emails and need Premier support. They will let you know, based on your volume, what specific plan would work for you.

There are extra items you can buy to add to SendGrid. If we need to clean up the list we got from the Synapse pages, we can definitely clean it up. They have their own tool they provide that costs an extra amount.

For some accounts, we have been paying more than $1,000 a month, based on the volume that we are sending to. It's worth it based on the open rate that we get thanks to the infrastructure. They provide very good IPs, and their technical team is very good at implementing email. It's worth the money.

What other advice do I have?

I'm a customer and end-user.

Our company decided to use this solution due to the fact that it's a stable and easy integration. Also, from the user perspective, when we talk about our email delivery people, they are not tech-savvy people. Therefore, if I ask them to do a complex configuration, they will get confused. However, this product makes everything very simple. At least with our platform, we did not face any issues. We followed the documentation and integrated it with our CRM.

Apart from that, SendGrid provides lots of things within the tool.

They have a feature called Auto Warmup IP, so we don't have to do it for every single client manually. We have the Auto Warmup feature enabled, and it will automatically warm up all the IPs. It also supports sub-user management. We can have 30 or 40 people working on the same thing and we can create multiple users and give them their own credentials to work on a separate account. It makes it very easy to track everybody to see who is doing what.

I'd rate the solution a nine out of ten.
