Good Email system for startup
What do you like best about the product?
Sendgrid is not hard to learn, not for marketeers, nor for programmers. If you do not know yet how your email activities will evolve, and have a few programmers near, Sendgrid can be really the flexible tool you need. And the support of sendgrid is really good.
What do you dislike about the product?
Once you get in a more advanced state as a marketer, you will hit some limits in the system. (but again, with some programmers near you, you can solve most of those limits).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use the email API for all transactional mailing and automated campaign mails.

It works! and if you encounter a problem, their team is willing to assist you until you can resolve the issue.

Pricing could be a little lower, but you get what you pay for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed to send blast communications emails from our virtual office, the emails contain critical information and reaching accounts like gmail.com aol.com and yahoo.com was difficult until we implemented SendGrid.com, after the implementation, we not only raised our deliberability ratio but our clients and MUCH happier.
Sendgrid for Seamless Integration and Monitoring
What do you like best about the product?
SendGrid provides us with an email integration like no other, lets us pick a static IP address to let all us white list the URL and IP, to make sure we do not miss any emails.
What do you dislike about the product?
If there is one area of improvement, I would like to be able to set up rules to send me reports of suppressions, instead of me logging in every time to get the reports. If there was a way to create a rule and email the csv, it would make life much easier
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Email is the core of our software for communication between users. Instead of trying to integrate with ever changing mail servers, its easier for us to control, secure the emails being dispatched from the system and monitor them.

SendGrid is really simple to use, the documentation is great, and there are clients in a variety of popular languages.

There's nothing to dislike. It's perfect.

Emails for alerts and notifications for a variety of platforms.

I stumbled across Sendgrid a few years ago. It met my needs perfectly. I've not looked at any other technologies because it just works.
Solid tool to send many emails from our database
What do you like best about the product?
We send thousands of emails a day and we've found SendGrid to be very reliable. The out of the box dashboard is solid to make sure things are going out properly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish we could see more than 3 days of history of emailing a client without having to pay extra which is currently required to see back 30 days.

We need to send thousands of emails a day to our users and SendGrid makes that possible.
Reliability in email
What do you like best about the product?
My website sends a fair bit of email to customers related to services that they are getting from me--confirmations, reminders, cancellations. It is essential that they receive these emails and I have found that my messages ALWAYS get through. I never hear from customers that my email goes to the spam folder. It is delivered and I value that highly. I also really value the open tracking and click tracking that Sendgrid provides as it better enables me to see that customers are actually getting and engaging with my messages. I found out about Sendgrid through my use of Microsoft Azure and while I don't use Azure anymore, I have stuck with Sendgrid.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I need to be able to track emails from a while back and I have not found a way to get access to a full history of sent emails and whether they have been opened.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I do not use the Email API. My connnection to SendGrid is via SMTP.

What do you like best about the product?
We are b2b platform for igaming and support our customers also by sending CRM email messages to end users. Sendgrid fits the best for this purpose because of possibility to white label senders
What do you dislike about the product?
Really annoying the stats report. I can't see it in one display by horizontal and need to scroll it all the time and I have no option to customize it somehow. Also, mailbox providers deliverability report is not useful, would be much better to see top10 mailboxes at the report.

Very good deliverability even for our industry.

That we don't use all the features available like campaigns, etc. At some point in the future, we may expand and use some of the options available to jazz up purely marketing emails.

A controlled source of sending rate sheets, etc as marketing emails.
SendGrid makes email and email marketing easy
What do you like best about the product?
Sendgrid makes it really easy to send emails from applications and track recipient interactions on the email. The API is very easy to use. It is interesting that SendGrid has been acquired by Twilio. We used both these products and absolutely love them.
The campaign management/ templating feature is nice. However, we relied more on the programmatic mail management.

The templating functionality on the web is bit limited compared to other pure email marketing solutions
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sendgrid makes adding email based interactions to applications frictionless. The solution allows for advanced email analytics and email based interactions. The free tier is enough to get started.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If yours is an API based integration for email enabling your application then SendGrid is a no brainer. If yours is an Email marketing based scenario look at other options and see how it compares. You might be pleasantly surprised.
