Very disappointing experience

  • June 27, 2025
  • Review from a verified AWS customer

I subscribed to the service via AWS Marketplace, but I couldn’t access my account at all. The login system kept asking for a password that I was never given, and even after reaching out to support, there was no clear guidance or resolution.

The support team responded extremely slowly, and despite the urgency of the issue — which directly impacted my ability to send emails — there was no proper follow-up or explanation on how or when they would resolve the problem.

Very disappointing experience. I expected much better support, especially for a paid service.

Do NOT use this service

What do you like best about the product?
The API itself works fine. The UI is relatively easy to navigate. It does everything you'd need an email API to do. As long as you don't mind constantly being suspended for false flags and getting support at least 3 business days later every time.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is zero support when the system automatically flags you for "unusual" activity. We have a 99% reputation according to SendGrid with 0 spam reports and 0 unsubscribes. Our app traffic tends to surge on one day each week according which causes our emails to surge on that day as well. We have been with SendGrid for about 3 months and have now been suspended 4 times and each time they say it was a false suspension. But there is no response for DAYS each time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Outsourcing our SMTP infrastructure. Giving insights into our email traffic to our support staff.

Universal mail delivery third party

  • June 27, 2024
  • Review from a verified AWS customer

The price seems to be about average

It's a good third party to send emails in large quantities stably.

It's supposed to authenticate and send mail-in domains for reliability

Devices to prevent mass spamming are increasingly being improved.

However, despite the normal use of the service

The account was arbitrarily temporarily suspended due to the company's policy argument, so e-mail was sent

There were cases where it didn't work normally, but this part was a little disappointing.

Transparency is the key

  • March 20, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
SendGrid makes my life so much easier! I use it nearly daily in my capacity as a technical support specialist, and email issues are not uncommon. SendGrid not only makes the whole emailing setup and process seamless and easily integrates with all of our software, but also provides huge transparency and reporting into all of its functions. It's Integration guide is also quite comprehensive and really helps with the initial setup.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would definitely expand the "knowledge base" and the integration guide to be more detailed and answer niche questions
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Personally, I don't use much of its setup functions, but extensively make use of its reporting functions - the activity section. It provides exceptional visibility into email deliverability and any issues/errors making it really easy to troubleshoot

Moving from sendgrid legacy to new subscription

  • March 15, 2024
  • Review from a verified AWS customer

Bought a new subscription from AWS marketplace but was never able to setup/configure the new subscription. The "click here to setup your account" always failed on the sso login, and nobody was able to resolve this. Ended up buying a new subscription from outside AWS marketplace and migrating all our templates etc.
