What do you like best about the product?
Zoom Workplace stands out for its consistently high-quality and reliable communications, a strength that now encompasses the entire platform. What I value most is the Zoom Phone feature, which has effectively replaced my traditional office phone system. Being able to make and receive professional calls directly from a desktop or mobile app, along with features like visual voicemail and contact management—all seamlessly integrated with my Zoom identity—has proven invaluable for remote work.
What do you dislike about the product?
The features are designed around the "one app for everything" concept. I rely on it to stay in sync with my team's hybrid work setup. Team Chat is my go-to for daily messages and quick conversations. When discussions become more involved, the chat can immediately transition into a video meeting—no need to hang up, send out links, or change platforms. This makes decision-making smooth, efficient, and easy to keep track of.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom Workplace has effectively tackled the problem of app fatigue and the inefficiency caused by constantly switching between different tools. In the past, employees needed to use a separate VoIP phone, a competitor’s chat app, and a video conferencing platform. By bringing together telephony, messaging, and meetings into one solution, we have made communication technology much simpler for everyone on our team. This integration has not only led to savings on licensing costs but, more importantly, has allowed staff to concentrate better on their work due to the unified user experience.

Zoom Workplace is incredibly user-friendly, and its ease of use makes daily collaboration simple for everyone on the team. The ease of implementation is another major advantage getting started and onboarding new users is quick and straightforward. Their customer support is responsive and helpful whenever assistance is needed. We use Zoom very frequently, and its stability and reliability make the frequency of use effortless. It also offers a wide number of features from meetings and chat to whiteboards and integrations which enhances productivity. Additionally, the ease of integration with other business tools makes it easy to fit Zoom into our existing workflows.

Some advanced features are hidden behind higher-tier plans, so smaller teams may miss out unless they upgrade

Zoom Workplace has helped solve many of our communication and collaboration challenges by bringing everything into one unified platform. It eliminates the need for multiple tools by combining meetings, chat, calls, whiteboards, and file sharing in a single workspace. This has improved team alignment and reduced delays in communication. It also solves the challenge of working with distributed teams allowing us to collaborate seamlessly regardless of location. The reliable video and audio quality reduce meeting disruptions, and the integrations with other business apps streamline our workflow. Overall, it saves time, boosts productivity, and makes remote and hybrid work much more efficient.

One of the standout benefits of Zoom Workplace is how it has grown from a simple video calling tool into a comprehensive unified communications platform. What impresses me most is the consistently high video and audio quality, which remains reliable even when bandwidth is limited. Additionally, the integration of Zoom Phone (telephony) and Zoom Team Chat with meetings is exceptionally smooth, making it easy to switch from a chat to a voice or video call with just one click.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its features work together to create a unified communication ecosystem. I rely on it to bring all our daily collaboration into one place. For external calls, I use Zoom Phone, while Team Chat handles our internal instant messaging needs. Meetings are improved by the Zoom AI Companion, which automatically produces summaries and action items. This makes it easy for me to record, summarize, and archive important information without interrupting the flow of conversation.

Zoom Workplace has effectively addressed the issue of fragmentation in our communication tools. In the past, we relied on three separate providers—one for meetings, another for landline calls, and a third for chat. Now, with everything unified under a single platform, we receive one consolidated bill and access all communications through a single interface. This change has greatly streamlined IT management, lowered our expenses, and provided a consistent, dependable experience for all employees, no matter where they are located.

I really appreciate how the Zoom Workplace dashboard is designed to be very user-friendly. Its simplicity makes it easy for anyone to understand and navigate, even for first-time users. I also found the initial setup process to be very straightforward, which is a great advantage because it saves time and reduces the hassle usually associated with setting up new software. Finding certain details or settings takes some time on zoom. Also some popups when trying to enter a meeting can be a bit annyoing.

Can easily set a call with potential client or partner company even if they are not using zoom.

What do you like best about the product?
Zoom is very easy to use, and I appreciate the features that let me turn off my camera or audio whenever necessary. I also find the help center to be quite informative and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unfortunately, I have noticed the app lagging, even though I am using a high-speed internet connection.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
From what I gather, one of the bugs they are currently addressing is related to the “Leave Meeting” button. Fixing this would be a huge help, as I have also experienced difficulties when trying to exit at the end of my meetings.

I find the meeting access feature in Zoom Workplace to be a bit difficult. It would be more efficient if a single link click could open the meeting without additional steps.

As the Director of Employee Experience, what I appreciate most about Zoom Workplace is its exceptional video and audio quality, a hallmark of Zoom Meetings. Beyond that, I find the integration of Zoom Team Chat and Zoom Phone within the suite to be extremely valuable. The chat function is not merely an add-on; it is thoughtfully embedded, enabling text conversations to transition instantly into voice or video calls with just one click. This seamless experience removes barriers in real-time communication and makes shifting between different work modes feel entirely effortless.

One aspect I think could use enhancement is the integration of document and task management, especially when compared to platforms like Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. Although Zoom has introduced features such as Zoom Docs, these offerings are still relatively new and not as mature as the more established alternatives. As a result, most teams still rely on external tools for intensive editing and collaborative work. Additionally, even though Zoom has made significant strides in security, the lingering public perception from the early days of 'Zoom-bombing' sometimes means executives need to provide extra reassurance, despite the platform now offering robust security measures.

Zoom Workplace has effectively addressed the issue of unified communications (UC) tool fragmentation. In the past, we relied on separate solutions for video conferencing, PBX telephony, and instant messaging. With Zoom, we have now brought these three essential functions together on a single platform. This consolidation has made IT management simpler, lowered our licensing expenses, and provided a seamless user experience. As a result, our remote and hybrid teams can consistently rely on a dependable way to stay connected.
