Asana is very helpful at team collaboration and organising your own tasks.
What do you like best about the product?
Easy, quick to setup, whether you have a large or smaller team. Asana can be very flexible, (pro version) you can organise and help your team managing tasks, workflows and set up re-curring tasks.. Very responsive tool to collaborate, upload docs to a task and add sub tasks, assign, comment etc. I also like seeing the tasks regrouped in one single page, so I know what needs my attention. Useful for coordinating and assign tasks to team members (pro version) whilst keeping an eye on them. I like that you can switch the feature "Remind me to update the status every Friday" on.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a few things I dislike - on Free version they advertise "Unlimited tasks, projects and conversations" you can assign it to others but you cannot review it after - as "Tasks I've Assigned to Others" are only available when paying for premium version. They should allow you to add at least one team member. Secondly, I'd like to see much better formatting options in the "description and comments boxes".
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it to track tasks and It has helped me stay organised and know what tasks i need to get done on a daily basis and keep my to do lists in one page.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Bear in mind I do like the tool, I think it has great features but also lack some vital ones. I.e: Sub- tasks labelling, chat during projects, and better Kanban boards...
You can use Asana for many things such campaign launches, team meetings and integrations, charts and more.
With that in mind I think Asana should not be called a complete project management tool. Asana can and will help you collaborate with your team and others to assign primary tasks but soon will become complicate if you are looking to add many hundred sub-tasks to your project.
However,I would say this - it should be considered one of the best collaboration and productivity apps in the market. I haven't followed them lately, so I don't know if they're looking to add new or improve existent features. Up to you to try it and see if the tool could be an ideal match for your business and/or team. Good luck!

Asana is amazing!
What do you like best about the product?
Asana has helped me keep track of, not only my customer appointments I have scheduled, but also my team's appointments that they have scheduled with their customers. I can easily track who, what, when, where and why all by simply clicking on my Asana calendar and clicking on each appointment and looking through the information.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much to dislike about Asana. If I had to chose something to dislike, it would be the interface. Although there is nothing technically wrong with the interface, it could use some sprucing up in terms of livelihood.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have had issues with previous companies in the past with keeping appointments and having appointments change without any notifications. With Asana those issues have been eliminated. You receive an email as soon as anything has changed with any appointment you are following. And following is as easy as clicking follow on the appointment tab.

If you do not absolutely love the ease and convenience this program offers I would be thoroughly surprised!
Asana is a great task management tool
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is great way to categorize projects and tasks in a nice visual format. I love that they've added the kanban style view as well, which works great for a visual team. The calendar view is a good way to get a birds eye view of what tasks you have coming up each week. For me, it also helps me to remember delivery deadlines for various assets throughout our projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a stronger reporting feature. I have managed to figure out ways to create some reports by placing tasks in multiple projects, but it's not really the ideal way to get an overview of your workload. You can integrate Asana with Instagantt, but it would be neat if workload management was included.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana's dashboard is a nice way to stay on top of all of your projects and the latest developments with them. That's probably my favorite feature when I'm juggling lots of projects at once. Sometimes it gets hard to remember all of the details, but I can put the most relevant information on my dashboard and that helps a lot.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana is great if you don't want something too complex or something to work with clients in.
Asana is a huge help with preojcet management
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is easy to use and can be picked up quickly without much training. This allows new employees to hit the ground running and not take too much time with training.
What do you dislike about the product?
It seems like there isn't much in the way of customization. It would be nice to be able to customize the templates a bit more to fit each companies needs and flow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We heavily use Asana for Project management. Being able to reference old tasks within one source is very helpful. Our company has various teams throughout the glove so being able to communicate via Asana helps to get things done quickly and efficiently even with a huge time difference.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely make sure it will work with what you want to use it for. Everyone has their own way of communicating tasks so give it a try and make sure the flow works for your company and employees
Great when I remember to use it
What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can set up and visualize tasks and deadlines in several formats - calendar view, task list, and upcoming. I also appreciate that you can assign tasks to others, or request review.
What do you dislike about the product?
This is one of the least intuitive platforms I have used in awhile -I needed tutorial videos to be able to figure out features and truly utilize the platform.
I also dislike that it allows you to create tasks/ email yourself tasks without a deadline- which end up just sitting at the top of "My Tasks" and cluttering the workspace.

As an employee in a small business that wears many hats, I love that I can track multiple tasks and projects across several spaces
- Able to assign tasks to teammates and get reviews from my boss without bothering them - it shows up automatically in their task list
- Can ask questions about assignments directly without having to send an email
- Able to visualize my tasks and can view upcoming tasks - so I can ignore projects that are far away without forgetting about them
- Project calendar view allows us to see the big picture and plan key deliverables
- Automatic project tracking

New to Asana, but can see benefits
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite aspect of Asana is the way it allows me to partner with others on projects and keep everyone updated on our progress and tasks at hand. While putting on large events, Asana has been extremely helpful in delegating responsibilities and staying organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the flow didn't feel quite as natural or I wished I could make a list look differently than what options were available to me. To be fair, I didn't stick with Asana quite as long as I probably could have to enjoy the full user experience, so there may be some features I didn't take the time to tap into fully.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As an entrepreneur, I am using Asana to help me stay organized and delegate. I've found that without a tool to use to keep me on top of everything I am juggling, things get chaotic and messy very quickly. Asana gave me a place to put my ideas down, have easy access from my phone (which I always have on me and therefore always have access to the information I may need at any given time), and allowed me to collaborate with my partners!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would say give it a shot! It is a helpful tool and may be what you are looking for! I think everyone's needs are different. I love that Asana is affordable and gave me quick access to a tool to keep me organized when I needed it. If you don't know where to start, Asana might be a great place for you to begin!
Great Platform for Remote Teams
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate that Asana has a great mobile app, which is convenient for individuals who aren't glued to their desk. The team calendar feature is also great to see what everyone is working on and when tasks are due. Being able to create a list of tasks, then go into a staff meeting and seamlessly assign everything out is also super helpful. I also get great value out of being able to add sections within a project (instead of having to make multiple projects to segment out tasks that are related to each other). Overall a great platform for managing multiple projects and action items going on at once.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't too much I don't like about Asana to be honest. The only thing that immediately comes to mind is that all of the layers can sometimes be confusing (workspaces, projects, tasks, subtasks, comments, etc.).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work with a remote team so having the ability to easily see what everyone's working on at any moment is crucial. It's also helpful to work through Asana when assigning out tasks, adding clarity, and passing along documents versus going back and forth with emails/calls. This was our first year using Asana and I see it being beneficial for many years to come.
When you need more than a To Do list
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is very easy to set up and provides lots of support. The amount of things that can be stored in Asana - attachments, images, pdfs, convos is really helpful. I use it for personal use and my company has adopted it for project management across departments.
What do you dislike about the product?
Images, pdfs, content within a convo require you to log into Asana to download which can be time consuming. Also, while it is easy to use, getting team members who have never used a project management system to adopt Asana is ... challenging.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Heavier to-do lists and complicated projects across departments were out-growing the traditional inbox and to-do lists that we used previously.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take advantage of support. Don't worry about getting it "perfect" when setting up as it is easy to change/adapt to needs. Let team members use on their own(personal project management/to-do lists) at first to get comfortable in the product.
Asana makes task management a breeze!
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a great place to keep all of your tasks and files, a full calendar, assign tasks to teammates, create subtasks and post comments, categorize things into projects and more. I especially love the recurring task feature so you can easily have a task re-assigned weekly, monthly or in whatever timeframe you'd like.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the email notifications can be a lot - they seem unnecessary because as soon as you log in you'll realize what is due and what is coming up but luckily you can even disable the reminder emails if they are crowding your inbox.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's so easy to keep track of not only my own work, but the whole team's. You can view everyone else's tasks and in calendar mode it's easy to see how busy each person is each day and what they have due that day. It makes it incredibly easy to track project completion and follow up and have less missed deadlines. It's huge for accountability and production. We have 12 companies in our portfolio and it's easy for things to slip through the cracks, but Asana keeps us on top of the work,
Recommendations to others considering the product:
When you set up your team account, think of your large buckets that will serve as project folders and make it easier to group tasks. It also helps to tag projects and tasks in other ways for searchability. Experiment with recurring tasks and the calendar to get the full use. See what other programs it integrates with, such as Slack for an even better experience.
Asana saves my chronic procrastination
What do you like best about the product?
I work as a solo freelancer from time to time and Asana allows me to keep track of multiple projects without the headaches of juggling multiple applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
The dashboard could be a bit more intuitive and the default keyboard commands can present itself difficult especially if you are new to task-based management.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am helping fellow creative entrepreneurs tell their stories by tracking internal goals vs actions. I realized that I was holding back on the clients I was working with - they should be using Asana too!
