Love it but missing a few basic features.
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ease of use and the simple UI that lets you create task lists by just you using the keyboard. I also like the fact that you can create projects that are only seen by certain teams. And that to create teams you simply add people to it. No profile set-up, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is missing a few key features. One to speak of is the ability to limit who can delete tasks and projects. Everyone one the team has the same permissions. So, as a "inspect who you expect" tool, it is hard to hold someone accountable to tasks. Of course, you can recover deleted task and projects from the recently deleted section, but what I just pulled in the permissions to create a hierarchy?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving the problem of juggling multiple projects at the same time. Some projects have team members in common. Other projects have only a couple of team members plus one additional team number from outside the company. Asana works well to keep a steady and healthy workflow inter-team and cross-team.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Build your current projects first before adding your team members for optimal success of implementation.

Simple and Intuitive
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Asana is so self-explanatory. When introducing new coworkers to Asana, they immediately understand that it's just like writing down a list, with the built in bonus of adding your own sub-lists or assigning tasks to other people.
What do you dislike about the product?
Every once in a while, I feel that Asana is too simplistic and would benefit the user by having more in depth tracking features or wider abilities to assign.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a straight forward way to assign a lot of tasks between our team and set timelines for completion. Asana has helped us achieve that.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want to coordinate a small to mid-size team, this is a great way to be hands-on with task tracking without being a middle manager. Has great tools for sharing too.
Easy, intuitive and good for small teams
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to have oversight of both my tasks and those of my team members is very important. It's easy to set deadlines and stay on track. It has also seemed to have adopted certain elements from trello and other productivity tools which have helped create a more complete product.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are better tools for more graphic-intensive projects. All users on the same domain are automatically included in the same account. This is ok for smaller teams, but for larger more disparate teams this seems like it could create some organization issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a distributed team so it is important that the entire team is able to keep track of what the others are working on. It promotes accountability and allows us to adapt as needed.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We did trials of a few different options, and our trial with Asana helped cement our decision. If your team is small enough it can stay free and if you're looking for a way to manage your projects, no reason not to try it.
Thanks for making my life easier
What do you like best about the product?
For a while now I've had trouble keeping website design customers up to date with the progress of their website project and what I will need from them down the line. With Asana they can see the tasks that are currently completed and what will be done next. It gives them a sense of honesty and appreciation for each task.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have an issue, but some of my customers have complained that navigating between tasks and sub-tasks is confusing to figure out at first. I'm not sure a way around this other than more material on using the app for non-technological users. Do you have something like that available?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This shortens the project timeline I find as clients are more ready to respond with the use of Asana.

Go for it!
Asana is great - when you know exactly how to use it
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it keeps things in an organized list view and that you can create sub-tasks for individual tasks. Being able to assign things and add due dates makes it easy to communicate with co-workers and delegate efficiently and effectively. It's neatly organized and it's nice to be able to click between project, group, and individual views.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how tricky it can be to find things. Also there's not a lot of notifications on screen that confirm or deny if I've made any changes. I also don't like how things are "hidden" and you have to really click around to find a note you made or a subtask. It's also too simple sometimes - really just a list.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's great to launch campaigns or for product launches. Everyone knows exactly what they're responsible for and when they need to get it done by. The benefits have been major in terms of organization.
It gets messy if you manage lots of projects
What do you like best about the product?
It's a great way to become more organised and manage your tasks and projects much better, if you are a start up. The layout is really nice, user-friendly and it really makes a difference. You can easily add new projects and tasks within a project along with comments and due dates. Very useful tool that simply helps you to see where you are with everything, what else needs completing and so on.
What do you dislike about the product?
It gets really difficult to track the progress and comments once you get many projects in there and lots of people involved. You normally receive a notification whenever someone comments, but it doesn't always happen. Moreover, it's difficult to see what comments were last etc. The biggest issue is tracking closed projects and tasks. It caused us lots of confusion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Marketing campaigns and lead generation. It's a great tool to show your clients, so they can manage their internal projects better.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use only if you have a few projects to manage. Save links to old/completed/archived projects, as then they are difficult to find.
Making projects dues more easier
What do you like best about the product?
The visual thing. Its possible to overview the hole project in one single page
What do you dislike about the product?
It runs so slow the most part of the time, making the users lives a litle bit kind of worried about the speed of their internet connections Bit its not, its Asana beeing slower..
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows our team to create tasks, assigned then, input due dates, integrate with gantt charts, and with time tracked software Harvest, and now we can say for sure how long and how much did it cost a project.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend Asana as a started point to project management.
Work Life Runs On Asana
What do you like best about the product?
It's very easy to create tasks and templates. Being able to view tasks by Due Date, helps keep me organized and if you have the setting turned on, magical animals shoot across the screen when you complete a task.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lately it's been slow to load and in some instances it would be nice to assign the same task to two people.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A lot less things fall through the cracks when we use Asana efficiently. Also it's a great way to keep records and there's a powerful search function that makes it easy to find what you're looking for.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It definetly has a learning curve and I would suggest creating your own system to work within Asana. Develop rules and guidelines so that all of your team members use it the same way.
Asana makes my work organized
What do you like best about the product?
Asana keeps the project and work organized. Adding team members to a project is very easy, helps tracking the status.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it's hard to keep up with the new updates. Also, it's hard tracking if the projects starts getting bigger.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping up with the office work, HR info and keep track of the appointment info. Asana helps me streamline all these data and can be accessed anywhere, anytime.

You can't assign the same task to multiple people on the team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our team has enjoyed using Asana and it has kept everything transparent, especially for those that need to work remotely. We have been able to add notes and comments to the tasks as well which is great. It keeps my teams progressing to meet daily/weekly goals.
