Asana experience
What do you like best about the product?
I like the simplicity of it. It's really easy to teach to the non-technical crowd.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's sometimes hard to set up business rules, and causes the aforementioned non-technical crowd might get confused. Technical teams might requeire a more focused product though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've used it for team management for engineering, sales and operations. For engineering there are not a lot of benefits when compared with other competitors, but for sales and ops it is a really good product.

What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can have several different task lists for all my different clients and projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is hard to navigate. I have to dig through the side bar sometimes to find what I want.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Staying organized and on-task. Asana helps me visually prioritize projects and clients.
Asana is great once it is set up.
What do you like best about the product?
Once it is set up with recurring to-do lists or project work flows, Asana can be a really great tool for teams, especially those who do not have the luxury of face to face meetings. Asana makes it easy to assign tasks or keep track of where in the workflow a specific project, task, or document is.
What do you dislike about the product?
I tried to set up Asana in my new position and gave up. In a previous position I had a supervisor who created workflows and projects and due dates. In my current position I am in charge of all of those things along with the execution. It seemed like too much work to set everything up in a meaningful way when my team is small.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem was three employees who covered a front desk at different times. Asana was a great solution for our supervisor to set up our projects along with a way to track incoming documents and other projects that would move from hand to hand. As the employees who covered the front desk, we needed to know the status of a project even though we may not have been around when it came in. Asana worked really great for that.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For project management, especially on big teams, Asana can be a wonderful tool. For small teams, it may not be worth the initial time investment to set up workflows in a meaningful way.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that you can delegate and track projects very efficiently I also like the fact that you can really get to know your team through the platform due to real names/photos in each person's profile. I also like the fact that you can get really granular with the details of tasks and projects if you choose to
What do you dislike about the product?
No CRM features, only for internal task assignment and management, if you are assigning tasks to team members that will be interacting with clients there isn't much extension there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking from start to finish the production of websites and other SEO projects for our clients.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana has quickly grown to be one of the leaders in task and project management. I can't tell you that it is better than another program you might be considering I can only tell you that we have never felt that there could be something to better suit our needs that would lead us to even consider searching for an alternative.
Great Project Management Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to organize projects and assign tasks to team member in Asana. I love being organized and Asana is key to helping me stay on top of all of my projects. My favorite part about using Asana is the fact that I can see my completed tasks each week. This is extremely helpful when we have weekly staff meetings so each team member knows how much work we completed in a given week.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have very few complaints so far. I'm still in my first year using Asana so I am still learning the product. One thing I have noticed is that it is a little hard to keep track of subtasks within a given product. We've grouped our tasks into "lifestages" but in order to move a task to the next phase we have to move the entire project not just the subtask. Not a big deal and probably just due to my newness to the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management. We needed a platform to help us juggle all of our projects and be able to keep track of our progress. We also needed a system where we could assign tasks to each other. Previously, we were just using email and other messaging systems, but we realized it was hard to keep track of. Asana allows us to have our tasks in one place - including instructions and uploading documents.

You should definitely consider using Asana for your project management needs.

What do you like best about the product?
Incredibly user-friendly and intuitive. There is little to no learning curve to figuring out how to create, manage, and complete tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
No complaints so far. I've been using Asana for the past year and a half, but I don't think my client utilizes Asana as much as they could.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Not my line of work, but Asana helps me communicate with my clients about projects.

Helps me stay organized, multiple tasks and due dates can be scheduled in one overarching task, ability to assign subtasks to other users in your group

A lack of organization leads to a lack of productivity, by staying organized I get more done in a work day

Get comfortable with it before you start relying on it for day to day task reminders and checklists

What do you like best about the product?
I love how user friendly this organization platform is, I am not very tech savvy and It navigated me right to completing my goals

I dislike that it can blend in with other items that notify you on your mobile and other devices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With this goal, calendar and appointment tracker, I am able to communicate with all the people necessary in order to get tasks done, I can set deadlines and track progress.

What do you like best about the product?
We use Asana as a central place to jot down ideas on-the-go and as a forum to discuss these ideas. We are all busy and can rarely sit down and meet to discuss every idea. It's also handy as a to-do list for when I'm out of the office or do not have my planner.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no group messaging component to discuss the projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communication and collaborative ideas within our busy schedules
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have trouble having all members free for meetings, Asana is a great way to channel all of your group member's ideas into a single forum for discussion.
Asana is great! Really helps me keep all my tasks, and my team's tasks organized.

I really like the look of the interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
How you can't assign priority to tasks..
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping the team organized is a huge one. I can set up production calendars, and it really helps me keep all the little one-off and ad hoc tasks on the radar, making sure we provide the best work for our clients. Previously items would always slip through the cracks.

It takes a little bit to get used to, but once you do it's great.
