Great idea but can be a little cluttered
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of using the web app and how organized everything is, and the functionality is just good overall. It's the most convenient thing for the whole team to use
What do you dislike about the product?
It can look cluttered sometimes - I prefer the interface of something like any.do, although that doesn't lend itself to be as effective as something like Asana
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking everyone's activities and priorities - we haven't used it for very long so I'm unsure as to the long-term/true benefits of it

For financial pros, RECURRING tasks are a must!
What do you like best about the product?
Lots of project managers, task apps, etc. operate on a one-and-done project platform. As an accountant, I needed to be able to handle tasks and projects that I could program to recur on weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc. Asana does that AND has a great mobile platform. Exactly what I needed!
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing that I wish it could do is have a "start" or "available" date for a task. For example, May's sales tax return is due July 20th. I can make the due date the 20th, but I can't even begin working on it until the month of May is over. It would be nice if the task didn't even show up until its availability take to avoid distraction.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana as my project and task manager for both professional AND personal items. I also use it as a lightweight CRM.

What do you like best about the product?
I love how organized it helps me to be, definitely part of the reason my company is so successful. I like that my team members can see each others tasks and potentially be there to help each other out. I also like once you complete something you can just click the checkmark and it's gone, and it lets you know if tasks are overdue.
What do you dislike about the product?
You can't see the notes right when you login. I think it would be easier to get tasks done if you could see them right when you click on a task list. I may be looking over things but wish I could see as the administrator who's completing things and when they're being completed. That could mean in the tasks there is a tab where completed tasks are held and I can see these things, but that would be a nice new feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are very organized, and know what tasks need to be completed in what order, and how many nitty gritty tasks are left. We have a lot of clients that need a lot of things done, and I having it sorted it out into my tasks makes things super simple and quick, and I don't have time to waste so that makes my life a lot easier.
Perfect for "light" Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is easy to pick up, my clients have adjusted fantastically, it integrates with Dropbox and has an easy drag and drop feature. You can do Kanban style boards or a more traditional list type.
What do you dislike about the product?
You can't do gantt charts within asana although there is a free integration with another software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Able to share a project plan with a client, use it for notifications, tracking items.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need heavy duty project plans this may not be for you.
Asana- almost worth the hype.
What do you like best about the product?
What I like about Asana is that you can create as many tasks at a time as you would like, and it is easy to add users to each task. It creates an easy way to lay out what needs to be done and who needs to do it. Also, you can easily create so many sub sections that make the page not overwhelming. Some other platforms we used made it seem like there was too much going on but Asana puts it nice and neat so no one feels overwhelmed.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I began using Asana, it was difficult for me to understand where the task I was making went to. It almost seemed to disappear in space sometimes. I think that they need to make it clearer if you adding a task, a comment, a section, etc. I could never figure out how to make it the way I wanted. Also, if it would integrate with your iPhone Calendar or Google Calendar, that would be amazing. Tasks go undone if people don't have their hands on them enough and without integration they disappear.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a small business with no office, we are often expected to do multiple tasks at once. It is easy to forget something or miss a deadline when it isn't all written out. Asana is the central location of our planning brain. We are solving the problem of forgetting to write down a task or completing a project and not writing down the steps we took. The benefits we reap are great with this program. We love the feature that allows anyone to create a task and assign someone else to it. It's great if someone is hearing a project and needs to remind their teammates to pitch in.

For free account, should allow control to admin to disable deletion of tasks / projects by other team members.

Eliminate communication gap, create centralized location for all tasks tracking, identify tasks assigned per person.

Hassel free setup. Easy to generate a workflow and change it. .
Has amazing features that help you connect with other applications as well as turn on or off notifications on select tasks, set priorities.

Good Task Management
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the way Asana allows me to import and export tasks to a universal Spreadsheet format.
What do you dislike about the product?
My biggest complaint about Asana is that tasks can only be delegated to other Asana members. I would like a way to assign the tasks to a person of group who is not a member of Asana. I would manage reminding them of their remaining tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Asana I am able to consolidate my tasks lists from multiple projects and prioritize them by due-date.

Game changing collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
The workflow is excellent. Project timelines look clean and easy to follow. Assigning tasks and followers allows for easy tracking. Files always attach easily and the search feature works well.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not really much I dislike about Asana.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management is much easier and communication between departments is significantly more clear. We're able to stay closer to projected timelines and avoid errors.

Asana has really stepped up our game in terms of team productivity. Their task delegation tools and deadlines make it easy to keep tabs on everyone's progress!
What do you dislike about the product?
I would prefer if asana had a desktop app or program that could integrate better onto my computer instead of keeping it up in my browser for the whole day!

I've solved the problem of cohesive team connectivity. Each of my team members can see how their colleagues are doing and incorporate their experience into each others work.

What do you like best about the product?
As a small business owner with multiple types of projects (administrative, client facing, etc.), I love using Asana to manage everything. I love how I can assign subtasks with deadlines and notes so that I can keep everything in one place. The ability to save searches is also great, since it allows me to view everything I need to do for a particular project or deadline in one spot.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface leaves something to be desired - it would be nice if I could include my branding or have a more custom interface.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Staying on timeline, managing an editorial and marketing calendar (the ability to view tasks in a calendar format is so helpful), and keeping track of everything in one place!
