Good Task Management software
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of use as well as the app feature
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I can say that I dislike about the software is that I sometimes have a hard time finding certain projects but that could have to do with how my company has our asana set up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have solved our accountability problem and now our projects are getting finished on time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would highly recommend asana to other businesses.

Great but can get messy
What do you like best about the product?
Integration with Slack is a great additional along with the ability to add custom fields, the dashboard of tasks also helps manage what you need to do.
The ability to share tasks across teams helps with cross functional projects, but we do find that the tasks can lost in your inbox.

What do you dislike about the product?
There doesn't seem to be a simple overview of all projects that provides this simple rolled up RAG status of everything (or maybe there is and I just can't find it).
I would love some sort of quick widget to perform updates.
Tasks and updates can be like SPAM sometimes and there doesn't seem to be any way to marking the importance of the task unless you put a deadline, even then they don't jump out.

Task Management and project tracking. Gave us the visibility of all of those mini tasks that needed deadlines and got lost in the middle of nowhere.
The number of projects we have on the go was making the management of them extremely difficult across multiple people.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
List out exactly what you need to achieve and have mapped it out with them first.
A new and aggressive way to stay on point.
What do you like best about the product?
It was an easy way for both my manager and myself to stay on task. She could add to my list and I could see her schedule and list. If there were any issues or questions we could attack it right away.
I liked that the tasks could be scheduled ahead of time, moved around the calendar, add to each others list/schedule and prioritized. Plus with a quick glance to past tasks helped with future scheduling.

What do you dislike about the product?
It did take short a time to get use to the set-up but after a week or so I finally got the hang of it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
working with my manager for scheduling and keeping task list
Recommendations to others considering the product:
A great way to keep your to-do list and schedule in one place.
Plus it is easy to share.

Best task management app for work AND personal stuff
What do you like best about the product?
Intuitive interface, mobile app, all kinds of great features, even in the free version
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't sort tasks within a project by due date on the mobile app
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I manage a ton of projects at once; this helps be an extension of my brain since I can't remember everything all the time. It has benefited me by helping me stay organized and giving me a place to save notes.
Awesome Tool for Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
It's so easy to use - creating projects and tasks within them is insanely easy and it's great to track all of your tasks from multiple departments in multiple places. Waiting on tasks is also a great tool for projects that require more than one employee.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tasks can get lost in bigger projects and sometimes it's frustrating that you can't check something off until everyone else is done with their tasks. That can be resolved with better project management but I also wish that it was a little easier in the UI.
Also sometimes the automation involved with entering new tasks is frustrating.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Makes it way easier to manage a team and personal projects.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do things right from the beginning! Otherwise your entire Asana becomes a mess.
Mobile post-it wall
What do you like best about the product?
When I plan for an event, I typically have a notebook full of lists or a wall covered in post-its. The site and app are both fluidly designed for the creative mind which things this way. You can plan a project by it self or as part of a larger whole or as singular tasks to be completed. You can receive email reminders and overviews of what tasks you have to complete. If you are working with a team, you can share notes and assign tasks and communicate when a task has been completed.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found if you can control when or how you get reminders. It took me a while to figure out how to mark a task as done, but once I found the place to click, it was more obvious than I thought.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps me strategize by setting dates for projects to be done, and I am able to make notes on the task as I am completing it. Previously I was just keeping lists and notes in separate places, and this helps me get organized.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great for use on desktop and mobile platforms! Incredible way of getting organized!
Can't even remember how we functioned without it!
What do you like best about the product?
It's the best for team collaboration and keeping us accountable! I can't imagine how we functioned without our tasks to keep us on track and our project organization to maintain successful communication.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing I can think of that I truly dislike, but I don't use the Dashboards part of it because I haven't really looked into it and I can't tell outright what I would really do with it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are much better at project communication, knowing who's doing what and when something should be done. I can plan out our content calendar so much better with Asana!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a try! We weren't exactly sure what we were looking for at first, and we had to try it out before knowing if it would work for us.
Not easy to use compared to other products
What do you like best about the product?
It is simple and easy to use, setup and start running
What do you dislike about the product?
Unfortunately the simplicity takes away from its capability to easily render the required information. Search seems top be limited and finding older tasks, information is teadious
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
3rd part saas integration is our primary focus with the tool
an unorganized organizational company
What do you like best about the product?
we have a lot of project going st the same time. It's nice to have a digital board to log progress.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's hard to integrate into daily routine. Also the inbox feature absolutely sucks. It's confusing and cluttered. If I have to get out an important message about a project, I resort to email. Which then turns into an email thread about the project. Then that conversation isn't recorded in Asana.... instead, it's in my email thread. I spend a great deal of time looking for where conversions happened.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have several projects in the works at the same time. So the building project feature is very helpful.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
When we first assigned on to Asana, I received 3 emails about training. They were in great detail, yet they didn't actually explain where the meeting was to take place. I logged on at the right time
And waited. Nothing. No follow up email, no "hey where are you?" Contact. There were 7 other people in my group. So the instructor would have known I was missing. But nothing. Still nothing. I found the training videos on my own. This we're most helpful.'

Not the best for keeping track of involved projects
What do you like best about the product?
I liked asana - but it wasn't as easy to manage all of the documents, time tables and tasks for everyone to do in different departments. The site is laid out well, and I do like it - but sometimes its a little hard lay out everything you need - it is very time invasive.
What do you dislike about the product?
we need research, development and marketing to work at the same time and they make it a little hard to communicate and keep track of everything you need. I don't know if it is only the way that Asana works, or our team in general.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps use manage different projects and tasks. We can have our files under projects which is nice to have them allocated for them in the place they belong. We can also put important due dates on the calendar and we see how that helps people get their things done in time (most of the time) and what is coming up.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think going through a quick, easy tutorial once you start for every single person would be good. we had team members have a difficult time getting exactly what they needed to get done, done because they didn't not take the time to learn how to use the site. An interactive "getting started" demo from the beginning I thought would be very helpful!
