This web app has drastically improve would function as a development team.
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to setup new tasks, assign tasks to others, create and manage teams. Decent reporting although we haven't used that much. Very robust create of custom projects and custom fields in the task setup.
What do you dislike about the product?
It isn't easy to set a task for a specific time and if you do there are no notifications. However I guess that's not really what this app is targeted for. If you need that use Apple reminders app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
managing and keeping track of development and business tasks across a development team of 4 users.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Other solutions we had tried were more individual and team focused leaving many tasks getting lost in the shuffle with everyone kind of doing their own thing. Asana helps keep your team organized and productively on task.

Task Management at Its Best
What do you like best about the product?
This program is great for working with a lot of team members and keeping everyone on task and easily finding status of projects. Its great to get a big overview as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like the ability to use a mobile app but it is not as user-friendly as the mobile site. That could use some improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work at a furniture dealership and we work on big projects on a constant basis, we need to keep all team members focused o their tasks and due dates.
Keep your task list online!
What do you like best about the product?
I really like having a task list on the Internet. Being able to set goals and having reminders is also really great.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it's nice to be able to physically check a box, but it's not a huge deal. I occasionally forget to open up my task list and feel lost for a bit until I remembered to bring up Asana.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This is a great way to keep track of tasks and projects along with due dates and progress.

Best Platform for Startups
What do you like best about the product?
I was able to collaborate with the rest of my dev team. We were able to categorize what was being launched, the status of the code and what the importance was. We were also able to assign the task to a set developer.
What do you dislike about the product?
I did not like the "following" feature. I wanted there to be a way to assign more than one person to a task.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were using Asana for testing our dev products before launching them live. This tool gave us the an easier way to stay on track and see what was going to be launched within that sprint.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you have a scrum master or a dedicated person to input Asana task and manage them
Easy to Use, Helpful for Team Collaborating
What do you like best about the product?
I love that it's super easy to create your own boards however you want, label them appropriately, and they can become templates for projects beyond what I'm currently doing. YouTube has a ton of tutorials to use it in different ways and I think it's very easy to introduce into my routine.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not much to dislike - if anything, there's almost so much openness that it could use a bit more structure. But once I create the structure myself, it works nicely.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communication between myself and team members - we don't have the same office space.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend checking out the YouTube videos of how to create templates and such in Asana. It made it exciting - the work to set it up is a little heavy, but once you get it, it's good.
Asana is a must for all Virtual Assistants
What do you like best about the product?
Asana helps Virtual Assistants by creating due dates for large projects. Many times I receive several projects at once and it is great that Asana can help me by prioritizing. It also helps everyone stay connected!

I like that Asana can act as a to-do list for specific projects

I don't really like the interface of the app itself; it's not as intuitive as it could be
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My team is charged with organizing a website redesign project and we've used Asana to organize our thoughts and action items, while storing and sharing files as well as meeting agendas.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend exploring the app before you switch all your communications and organization over to it. Make sure that it has all the capabilities you will need; Asana seems to be a lighter app in my opinion, offering the minimum of task lists, shared files, and group conversations. I don't know that it allows much more than that, and many of those things are offered in a number of other apps anyway
Great tool that makes project planning easier
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to create task lists or boards; ability to assign tasks to different people; ability to create projects, tasks and subtasks to further breakdown the anatomy of a project.
What do you dislike about the product?
Inability to assign multiple people to a task
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As our team moves into a mix of remote and in-office work, Asana makes is easier to keep track of all our projects and everyone's unique role in them. It is also a great way to keep people in the loop without having a ton of meetings and eating up valuable work time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a great product of anyone looking to streamline their project management and keep their team in the loop and on-task without wasting time with a ton of meetings. You can plot out entire long-term projects from start to finish and assign different members to different tasks, which makes it a great way to see the whole picture of a project while also making sure that every detail is accounted for.
Love the product!
What do you like best about the product?
User friendly. I worked for a while as a VA (Virtual Assistant) so it was a great tool to work with. I was able to keep track of my hours i worked for each project and I was able to invoice my clients with ease. That was the part that was making me more nervous but Asana took care of that.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing that I can recall really. The pricing was a little expensive for me, since I just started working and trying to enter a new arena.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It was easier to log the hours I worked and then invoice the client. It is a great tool for start-ups and even bigger
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I absolutely recommend it, especially if you are working remote or you are your own boss. The support is excellent, so take advantage of that.
Asana is great for keeping track of projects
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to assign tasks to my co-workers and also keep track of my own tasks. It's easy to see where others are on a project. You get a sense of accomplishment when checking off tasks and you can reference completed tasks at a later time. It's easy to get notified when projects are assigned to you..
What do you dislike about the product?
If you have a lot of projects going at one time, it can get overwhelming at times. It also can only be used efficiently if everyone uses the software to the best of their ability. If only one person is using it, it isn't as awesome.
