Great for Support Issues
What do you like best about the product?
You can easily add a list of items/issues all at one time, and Asana creates a separate task/ticket for each item.
What do you dislike about the product?
It could never replace a project/time management system since it doesn't incorporate those items.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is a great way to track support issues and make sure they get addressed/resolved. That's the main thing we use it for. Communicating bugs/issues to a developer, assigning those bugs/issues to developers, and holding them accountable has been much easier with Asana.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would consider Asana for task/bug/issue management only. I don't believe that Asana is a robust project management solution.
Fairly good project management cloud software
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Asana for a very long time now. It's a good software to manage projects and also I like the integration with Toggl.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes seems too heavy, cluttered and hard to get around. When you open and have a lot of tasks on you it's hard to concentrate and focus on a single task. I like the ability to tag tasks.
I don't like that you cannot create subfolders within a project and have to use semicolons to separate things or milestones.
I don't like that it shows the text with the history of the tasks activity. It's makes it hard to read and very busy.
The like button - resembles a "heart" - seems a bit silly to me and lots of people don't use it for that matter.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it for assigning tasks instead of using emails, where you can set due dates and have some feed communication between members of a team. Usually it's about software development projects but also used in general business activity tasks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider also trying to use Trello. It's is much more simplier that Asana and might be easier to starting using it, especially if it's a small team.
Great for process-oriented jobs
What do you like best about the product?
I love that asana helps you capture everything you need to do in one simple interface. It's best for people whose work is very task-oriented, so you can check off, one-by-one, each of your tasks. You can also organize by projects, with different teams for each one, which is great for cross-team projects. Overall, it has saved me from forgetting so many of those small, simple tasks that, if I didn't write down, would be forgotten immediately.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like if Asana had the option of adding a little bit more complexity in its user interface. For example, if I could schedule time/date-sensitive tasks to move themselves or reappear as reminders at the top of my list that would be awesome, since I gradually start to ignore the tasks that are there too long in front of me (I become blind to them)! Otherwise, I love how easy it is to use, and how it keeps me focused throughout the day.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organization and productivity. Asana helps to keep me focused and maintain a clear vision of my work, on a macro and micro level. I am able to see all of my work at once, broken down by tasks and categories.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Its very easy to setup, so try it out to see if you like it. It doesn't require much of a time commitment to set up or there is not a steep learning curve.
Asana is useful for someone who likes to track things digitally.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can set reoccurring tasks and end them when needed. I also like that the new template is already laid out so that you can pick and choose the tasks that you need and customize it to your event.
What do you dislike about the product?
The notifications are sent too frequently and clog my inbox.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana keeps me organized and keeps my team members up to date on the status of my projects without having to send e-mails or update them individually.
Keeps Things Really Organized!
What do you like best about the product?
I love those organized this program is - we have a group of 5 people using it and it keeps things neat for all of us. I love how it individualizes tasks, as well as makes group tasks. Plus, it's very easy to use after looking though the tutorial quickly. The side task bar can be broken down by month and the color-coding make it SO easy to glance at and know what's coming up.
What do you dislike about the product?
It seems a little overwhelming at first but you must make sure to check the tutorial first and then you'll be fine! At least, my executive officer made sure to create a tutorial so it's a great idea for everyone to just scan through the pdf's with tips.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're organizing a grouping of new officers with a new organization, so we were in serious need of a major organization tool to get us all on track with our new roles/tasks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure to check the reading material/tutorial before starting and it will make it easier to implement/use!
Asana review
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is very helpful in keeping me organized. I really enjoy making lists and this digital version, that I can use both on my computer and smart phone, is very handy because I always have it with me. I also really like that I am able to share task lists with my colleagues when we are working on the same project.
What do you dislike about the product?
There really isn't anything that I do not like about this product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organization and communication
Asana - you get what you pay for
What do you like best about the product?
It's free. If you cannot afford to pay for a project management tool, Asana is a good choice.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a little clunky and not as easy to use or intuitive as other project management tools, such as Basecamp.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used Asana as a part of a team to streamline communication and decrease email. We haven't found it to be a timesaver and therefore have mostly gone back to email.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If budget is your main consideration, Asana is a good choice. Otherwise, there are other project management tools out there that are much more nimble and easy to use.
Asana is a game changer
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is the best work management system you can get, especially when you are on a budget. It easy to set up complex projects, with sub-tasks with separate due dates and assignees.
What do you dislike about the product?
It could use more filtering options. We have projects plotted out for over a year, and it can be incredibly stressful to see it all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communication and productivity have increased since implementing Asana. You can always look at what you have coming up in the pipeline.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are interested in trying Asana, you can try it out on one project. It is a free software and easy to use, so you really aren't out anything.
Asana is the perfect tool for workflow
What do you like best about the product?
I love that you can organize your own work while also collaborating with your team. This is one of my all-time favorite martech tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there's loading issues, but overall there really isn't much I would change.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have better collaboration across teams and missing deadlines is (almost) a thing of the past.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get it! It's a great product. Make sure you understand all the capabilities.
