Asana is a great solution for small remote team management

Potentially for a bigger project it would be worth having more gantt type features without the weight of ms project.

Asana review
What do you like best about the product?
Interesting interface- in between a calander and a task manager.
What do you dislike about the product?
It isn’t anything special- seems to be overpriced for the actual utility.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Coordinate schedules and tasks in one place-report to managers. Follow progress in real time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana seems to be an overpriced product that doesn’t serve much purpose.
Great project management software
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is incredibly easy to use and set up. It has a lot of good features: I like that it gives you reminders, and allows you to check off tasks after you finished with them, and finally, to send draft docs to others within that task.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do wish that Asana had more connections to slack, and also had more project management features such as reporting and budgeting features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to keep all of our projects and communication transparent within the organization. It has helped the team to see what is due as a group.

Its pretty simple and intuitive to use...
My life is changed
What do you like best about the product?
My productivity and organization is so much better. As long as tasks are added, nothing is slipping through the cracks. I also like that because I work in a job that runs on a cycle with the same projects every year, the ability to copy a project and adjust the timeline is amazing.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really wish that there was some way to get desktop notifications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Now I know what everyone on my team is working on and it helps to make a more equitable distribution of tasks. We aren’t losing track of anything these days.
It's ok
What do you like best about the product?
I like Asana because it's reliable and I feel like it's a very versatile tool because all you need is a project and Asana has got your back. You can even use it outside of work for just to do lists and other plans you might have!
What do you dislike about the product?
What I don't like however is that I feel like it's half baked; there are a lot of obvious useful features that just aren't offered. For example copying a task is available online but not on the app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it as our to ticketing system. It works well because we can submit an issue, and other people can comment and update what's been done or needs to be done and because it's highly customizable, we can add our own priorities, and other info. It gets the job done.
Helpful for scattered team
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it updates in real time for all users and that you can open and close tasks as needed, and search for closed tasks long after closing. My tasks are regularly completed and I can change them as needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be helpful if task reminders, such as a popup were an option, rather than emails which are really too much. It would also be nice if there were an inbox system where you could see each time you are mentioned /looped into a task. I would also like sub-tasks to be able to be reoccurring like regular tasks can be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows us to not duplicate work, keeps better communication with team members spread out working at different locations/remotely from home, and makes sure regularly performed tasks are actually done.
Asana helps keep our renovation company organized.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can have multiple jobs, with multiple tasks under those jobs. We also utilize the assignment function that assigns each task to an indivdual and gives them alerts about said task.
What do you dislike about the product?
The new update makes adding a tag to a project more difficult than it used to be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps keep all of our jobs organized in one place. All of our sub contractors can access our projects and check off tasks as they go.

An excellent app to amange work and tasks
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is really easy to use and you can manage your tasks from your computer (without even having to download anything, something I really value) or from your mobile phone (through the app, which is equally intuitive and very conveniente!) from anywhere you need to! You can create tasks from your e-mail with attached files without even having to login and they will be there when you need them.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a lot of options but you have to install external plugins for some of them. Also, the search option is not very good (it's fine, though!)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are very happy with this app at my company. We always know who is responsible for every task and who is part of the team working on it. We have al the information about each project easily accesible and organized.
Decent Product Management tool for team
What do you like best about the product?
Delegating tasks and managing projects.
I also use Asana for employee one on ones
I also use Asana for employee one on ones
What do you dislike about the product?
Task section can get out of hand and due date reminders are not easy to set up. In fact notifications in general are lacking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Replaced Trello as a project management tool.
Quick and easy, tangible checklist
What do you like best about the product?
Organizable project boards, assigning tasks to team members, including deadlines, ability to view project calendars or team members project board tasks. Color coding is great!
What do you dislike about the product?
The maximum team members for free usage is about 15 members. When working for a non-profit with a team that grew to 30+ volunteer intern members, it was challenging to not be able to keep our taskforce and team members all in one place.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps teams stay organized and delegate tasks per project. Super helpful for a large team that is running multiple projects at once while all team members are working different schedules and locations.
