Quick review of Asana
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it is available on Windows and Android unlike all the other apps which are great e.g Sketch only being available on Mac
Task management is great.
Navigation is superb and easy to understand
The boards provide a perfect graphical view of the stages where various tasks are at.
The weekly reminder of what tasks have been completed and how many are pending help in tracking progress.
The due date feature on tasks make time management easy so as the team can work within allowed timelines.

What do you dislike about the product?
Too many options/Features, if you are new you can be overwhelmed and get confused on what which feature does.
Limited dashboards on the free plan
I hope this app would have been free or a once buy off instead of monthly payments.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go right ahead it is all worth it. For smaller teams you actually do not need to buy a subscription since the free plan gives you unlimited projects and accepts teams of upto 15 people, this is more than a normal startup employee base like here in Kenya.
And just like any other software out there, when you are trying it out keep an open mind because there may be one or two things that you may not like, but trust me, Asana is by far the best task management app i have come across personally. There may be better ones out there but for now, Asana is a win!!

User review of Asana
What do you like best about the product?
1. The theme of Asana is breathtaking, the combination of th ecolors is amazing, makes it beautiful and want to use.
2. The navigation of Asana is good, makes it easy to find what you are looking for.
3. The introduction of boards on Asana was a huge step to making Asana the best task managing app, with the dragging of task around boards makes it easy to move the tasks around.
4. Assigning of users to tasks and tagging of tasks with priority levels and due dates for each task makes it easy to collaborate with your team regardless if they are on the same room or halfway across the world.

What do you dislike about the product?
I didn't it when i could not move my earlier projects from list form to boards when boards were introduced. It will have been nice if i could do that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team management, i work with a team which is in India and i with another team here in Kenya, so collaboration of work and division of tasks was becoming a problem but with Asana, this is no longer an issue.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go ahead and try it out, you won't regret it at all. If you have used Trello then consider this like a Trello 2.0 because it has all those features plus more and then improved and made more appealing and relatable.
Teamwork
What do you like best about the product?
I liked how easily it was our our team to collaborate. We could assign tasks, check status of projects, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
I did not like that you could not see a coworkers task list by default (everything had to be added to a shared project). This made it tricky to manage my employees workload.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helped us to strategically plan and to allow easy access to assigning tasks within the workplace.
Asana - as easy as pie!
What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that it's simple, intuitive and easy to track multiple tasks across multiple projects and people.
What do you dislike about the product?
It doesn't automate reminders, meaning that you can loose track of tasks if you're not on it regularly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps keep the communication flow open, creating visibility and accountavility.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Check it out. Signing up is free and easy - what have you got to lose?
Versatile and High Level Project Management Software
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to navigate and manage on my desktop and iPhone- I love the list feature as well as the board feature!
What do you dislike about the product?
If someone assigns tasks to you and links your account to their account, it is hard to keep things separate and risk them seeing tasks not related to those accounts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project and Task Management as well as process and workflow management- creating steps and templates for repeated tasks and documenting the actual workflow involved- tracking it when working with team members or by myself.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely make the switch! With the board and list features, you can appease all learning styles- linear or visual. Great features for tracking tasks, monitoring progress, and creating processes for business tasks!
I like to call it a "Glorified To Do List" -- in a good way
What do you like best about the product?
Asana's simple list orientation makes it easy to follow and manage projects for your team. Assigning tasks and due dates is super easy and the notification options are plentiful. I really like having the ability to add sub tasks to tasks, which means that we can declutter the main view a bit by breaking tasks down into smaller pieces within larger tasks. I actually used to use Asana as my CRM (until I found one that worked out better for me). Oh, and one of the best features of Asana is the price. It's hard to beat free!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish we could manage team-only and client-facing tasks in the same project (instead of creating a task in a private project and then assigning it from there to a client project). Also, I've noticed that they are focusing a lot more on new functionality for paid members only.
One feature in particular that I would love to see become native is time tracking for individual tasks. Currently it integrates with outside tools like Harvest, which is great if you don't mind the need for an additional tool just to keep track of hours.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project Management, my personal to do list, and bug tracker for clients. At one time I was also using Asana to manage my Sales workflow.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a shot! Fortunately free accounts are not completely unusable like on some websites that have a free option.
Solid Task List
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the satisfaction of the reward animation as well as the project tracking.
What do you dislike about the product?
Subtasks don't seem to be integrated into the overall calendar system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Overall efficiency for our team. Project management and increasing the organizational skills of our team.
Asana review
What do you like best about the product?
It is really easy to create tasks to remind me of little things I might otherwise forget to do later
What do you dislike about the product?
When people reply to an emailed task, it reassigns the task
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a really good way for our boss to assign a task to the team and different people to chime in on where they are with their portion of the project, so you know what's been done and what remains.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a great tool for collaborating on projects where you need constant updates, and also great as a to do list.
Good Project Management Solution
What do you like best about the product?
I think the boards format is excellent. It allows me and other teams to organize their projects their way while other teams assign tasks over to them.
What do you dislike about the product?
In order to assign a task to another team you need to be a member. After 15 members you need to upgrade each team to a plan. That seems punitive when I only need to assign a task. Teams should just be those people who work on the project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it for marketing project management. It works well enough. We complete campaigns and interface with our designers in our remote offices.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Let the users trial it, not leadership. They will be the ones who need to understand its elements and whether it works for your company needs.
Keeps me (and my team) organized
What do you like best about the product?
Communicating with team members without clogging up my e-mail. You can attach files, and add quick notes, which automatically notifies those that are included on the project or task.
What do you dislike about the product?
This is more user error, but for this software to be successful, everyone on the team or involved in the project must be on board. Sometimes the e-mail alerts get a little repetitive, and I prefer the notifications on my phone, but this may just be a personal preference.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me (and my team) hold ourselves accountable and also keeps an organized and easily accessed record of all of our projects and steps completed.
