Asana is the perfect tool to use for project management
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to create subtasks and assign due dates to them. The integration Google Calendar and other Chrome extensions. The amazing organization that it offers as a project management software.
What do you dislike about the product?
This isn't something software related, but I really wish that the companies that I've worked for would use Asana instead of Trello.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to keep track of my projects, subtasks, and due dates in one single location. I can manage via my phone or iPad, or on my computer with ease.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a great software to use if you have team management to do. Remote or local, Asana can do it all. I would recommend taking the time to get to know the software, do the webinar tutorials and explore the various features.

Easy and flexible project and team management platform
What do you like best about the product?
Very loose structure. Good for people who don't like the constraints and rules of Basecamp. Lighter, easier to use, if you are creative. Also easy to forward an email into the system.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like a way to clearly differentiate between tasks and evergreen project-related info (passwords, goals, etc) that need to be shared with the team. Also would like an easier way to forward emails to any specific project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy to bring remote team together on a shared project or on shared client work.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be sure you don't need formal project management.
Very nice product
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, has everything in place for me and most of all free. Although the latest upgrade removed some of the "hacks" that helped us work more efficiently, speed has improved so it's sort of lose something, gain something better situation.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I don't like is the emails being send many times to upgrade. I would also prefer to have the today "hack" back.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are tracking the progress of our projects across our teams
Asana for Program Managers
What do you like best about the product?
I really like that I can work on larger projects with my team and allocate specific tasks to them! I like that they can filter the list how they choose and not affect my view or filter of the list.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I was able to use asana more on a personal task list base. It is possible but creates more work for me when I have reoccurring tasks every week that I want to be able to date and include. It would be nice if I could copy a task week by week and it auto fill the due date when I set the reoccurrence.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We manage technology program management in making sure our testing is done and completed on time. This benefits us in time and effort of tasks.
Unicorns are Everything
What do you like best about the product?
I love the simple/sleek interface that is fun to use. Form and function in harmony always win me over.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how infrequently I get a unicorn. There's not much else I can say here.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Teams in different locations. Assigning tasks to others and myself so things don't slip through the cracks. Keeping track of file versions. Keeping team members in the know about workflow dependencies.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There is more robust software out there, but ask this: Do you REALLY need all that stuff? And, will your staff use it? We have found that Asana actually gets used because of it's good looking interface, it's simplicity/ease-of-use, and the little bits of character that make it fun. Basecamp is another great option, depending on what your needs are. Every other project management software we have attempted to use have failed miserably simply because they were not enjoyable to use.
Effective and easy
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to organize, easy to follow and accessible from anywhere with an internet connection. The celebrations are a sweet bonus!
What do you dislike about the product?
There tends to be a lag in checking off items sometimes, and this has resulted in items being checked off unintentionally.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our entire marketing plan is laid out for our team. We know who is responsible for what tasks, where bottlenecks are and when to expect incoming projects.
Great for managing several teams with ongoing projects.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the dashboard feature that allows you to see the progress of multiple projects at once while still allowing you to the check on the tasks of individual team members.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how long it takes to add one action to a project. While it's important to sort actions sometime it seems tedious to create a simple to-do list for projects in Asana.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving project management software needs with Asana. I work with an entirely remote team and Asana allows us to communicate effectively and manage all of our projects well.
Asana Forever
What do you like best about the product?
The clean and easy to enter design. The email notifications for efficiency. Also the hack of the unicorn when I complete tasks is a nice touch.
What do you dislike about the product?
At first, it can be challenging and overwhelming to navigate the setup process of creating teams/projects and tasks!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communication has improved along with accountability.
Efficient system that my team loves!
What do you like best about the product?
Our team loves that we can use Asana in replacement a lot our internal email communicating. I like that instead of "replying all" in an email, we can simply just "heart" the conversation to show that we agree. Our team has also developed best practices around our internal communications which has helped our team be efficient in the way we communicate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is frustrating to me that I cannot sort by date as my default but I enjoy the system overall.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problems that we solve are team efficiency, task and project management, as well as communicating to our internal team using the team conversations page. It has cut down on a lot of our internal email and we are thankful to have a system that accomplishes all of our needs!
Great project management system!
What do you like best about the product?
I love the different options you can have for how you organize your projects. I'm a huge list person, so having the main checklists and sub lists within each project is my favorite option.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes some time to fully understand the features of the program. Watching some tutorials or asking someone who has previous experience can easily help this issue though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management and keeping track of deadlines is the main problem that Asana has helped me with. I used to forget about small details when I had multiple projects to manage at one time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take the time to learn all of its features, it can greatly benefit your organization and productivity if you're managing multiple projects at once.
