Asana helps manage and simplify the work flow. Initiates more team work!

What do you like best about the product?
I love Asana's simple and modern layout, creating fluidity between tasks. It's easy to set up, get people on board with the system, and it's pretty straight forward. AND yet there are so many little shortcuts, that you can become an Asana wizard.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I would say about Asana is that there should be a few more visuals. Sometimes the board can be boring to look at I get distracted with other sites when I should be staying on task.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana makes it easy to clearly lay out who is completing what and it updates everyone when tasks are completed. It totally cuts out having to bug a co-worker to see if they've finished so you can start your work, and now, you just wait for the update. And you can even nudge them if they need to hurry up!

It cuts out a lot of unnecessary emails that can flood your inbox. I love being able to pick and choose who is attached to a project so that they all are on the same page.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take your time to learn the shortcuts in Asana and you will be able to flow through tasks on time and organized. You can learn how to input tasks on-the-go from your email, but the app is also a huge help for my team. We can be busy and still stay connected and on the same page with a project.

    Non-Profit Organization Management

The best way to stay organized during project management

  • June 30, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Assigning tasks to coworkers, checking off lists, organizing big events and breaking them down
What do you dislike about the product?
I face challenges when other people don't have Asana. During projects when I'm trying to assign tasks it can get challenging without every person checking their account.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Completing events. If we have an event coming up or program - we will break it down task by task to organize roles and complete projects
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would highly recommend this product. It works for event planning, project planning, small projects, big projects, etc. You can essentially use it for anything that requires tasks and other people or you can just use it to keep yourself in check. It is a great tool and I will continue to use it.

I. Love. Asana.

What do you like best about the product?
There is literally nothing not to like about Asana. It is the ultimate productivity program. I use it for my full-time job and for my own company's team, and it does wonders. We first started using it a few months back, and I haven't used anything else since. It is the essential to-do list program for all things professional. If you want to be organized, use Asana; you won't regret it! I love the versatility of the site when on the computer. You can format your to-do lists in chart or list forms, which is a huge plus! The customization of Asana is truly amazing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the formatting is a little bit tricky to get used to at first, but after you do, you'll be hooked. There are many options, which I don't see as a bad thing, but could get overwhelming or unnecessary for some people who like to keep things simple.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Productivity and communication are two major things my team and I are solving with Asana. It streamlines our tasks and conversations relating to each one, and keeps things so organized, it's scary. We have realized how vital clear communication is through Asana, too. We love assigning tasks and sticking to the deadlines we are able to set though the site. It is truly a lifesaver!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take full advantage of every single feature Asana has to offer. Your productivity level will increase and you will be amazed as to how organized you will be with your team. Everything is so easy and fun to use - you feel so accomplished after checking off tasks on your to-do lists!

    Telecommunications

Great quick-simple-fast cloud solution to control all your projects

  • June 30, 2017
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a quick and simple solution to manage, control and maintain multiples projects with your colleagues and clients. And being cloud based (with mobile device support) makes it a all time ready to update option to keep your tasks sync.
What do you dislike about the product?
The way to add a task to a new section. It needs to create a space automatically to easily add all task in place. There's no budget tracking or gantt visualizations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management, to do lists, communication center.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great solution to keep your projects updated, but not for budget tracking.

The best free project management software there is!

  • June 29, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Like the title says...The best free project management software there is!...Asana has so many features that you don't really need to upgrade to the premium version. At least if you're a small business! It's perfect for a start up who's trying to keep costs at a minimum and also for anyone who's never used a project management software before.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only other project management software that I've used before is Basecamp, and there was one thing about Basecamp that I liked better--it was how you could submit and edit copy in a nice way where you can see who's made what edits last...kinda like how Wordpress has the different versions made by which user/date/time etc--I haven't seen that in Asana...but that would be nice! Aside from this I love Asana
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to keep things categorized and organized with a small team by assigning tasks and due dates and notes that go with each thing
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try this out first before you go and spend money on another project management software. Also, I think this might be better for people who are within the design industry for instance, Basecamp was better for a copywriter in my opinion.

Asana is for All.

  • June 29, 2017
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a great solutions from all-sized teams who manage any number of functions. Solutions get as simple as basic task management and as robust as full project communications support and status reporting.

Hands down, my favorite feature is the at-a-glance team tasks view that allows me to efficiently develop project timelines based on existing schedules.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana is so flexible that it is sometimes a bit overwhelming for new users who haven't gotten a sense for how to organize their projects. Other than that, my complaints are nonexistent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I manage a nonprofit communications team and use Asana for project management across several projects.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I can promise you that if you're looking for a project management tool, Asana is for you. Specific need or industry doesn't matter. Asana can do it all!

Great Task Manager

  • June 29, 2017
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a slick way to bring your sticky-note to-do list into the 21st century. Erase your whiteboard, throw away the post-its cluttering your desk, and ditch the Microsoft Word "weekly to-do" document and commit to a better way of doing things. Asana helps me stay personally organized, and facilitates team conversations, document sharing, and task following that keeps me apprised and on the cutting edge of what's happening around me.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana is an excellent task manager, but some on my team have argued it is not a complete project management solution. While I agree, I think the flexibility Asana offers to organize and manage projects the way you want makes up for this. And with an ever-growing list of add-ons available, you can pretty much accomplish anything you would want from within this platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our entire department switched from Basecamp to Asana, and this has helped us centralize conversations, tasks and documents in one place and provide a collaborative portal that is a shared point of reference. I don't get emails from my boss anymore, everything goes through Asana.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Every team has its own way of organizing and thinking through projects, so the great thing about Asana is that it makes room for this variation. Take time to think through its feature and how they can work best for you, and then just get started trying something. You can always adjust your usage and team conventions later down the road. But remember, it won't be useful unless you and your entire team commit to using it.

Helpful

What do you like best about the product?
Collaborating to do lists with colleagues. Its great when you have a big project with lots of tasks and multiple people involved.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like having my organization and to do lists and calendars all on separate systems. I like all my stuff in one place. So I was stubborn to start using this when my team did.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Group projects- assigning tasks and keeping people accountable, and tracking what is done and yet to be done

Asana is awesome for project management.

  • June 29, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love Asana. The user experience is great. It helps me stay organized with all of my client projects and I invite my clients to join as well so they can stay organized too.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't figured out a way to upload files directly under the Files tab. Surely there's a way to do this. I like being able to assign tasks a due date under each project. But I don't want to see all of those tasks under the My Tasks Dashboard. I want to be able to specify which ones show up there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana has really helped me streamline my processes. I created a project as a list and created individual tasks to document my entire web design process. Then, when I get a new client, I duplicate the project and I know every single step in my process to give a consistent client experience every time. I don't even have to worry about forgetting something because I just refer to my list.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend Asana. It was after I started documenting my processes and managing projects in Asana that I believe I have elevated my client experience and business performance.
