Super simple, but fully featured task management
What do you like best about the product?
I love the simple, straightforward ways my to-dos are displayed. It's a list... plain and simple. And the different list views make it easy to organize the lists by priority, due date, project, etc. I also love all of the keyboard shortcuts. I can edit and organize without touching my mouse.
What do you dislike about the product?
The multiple different views can be a little confusing at first. It would be nice if there was more on-screen guidance for beginners.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organizing multiple projects each with multiple tasks, and some of those tasks have multiple steps. I'm able to feel confident I haven't let anything slip through the cracks. Unlike other services I've tried, using Asana doesn't ADD to the time it takes to stay organized.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take advantage of forwarding emails to Asana to create new tasks. You can create a separate email address for each project that automatically creates a new task from the email. This feature makes getting to Inbox Zero easy.
Use the keyboard shortcuts. Assigning due dates, sorting into projects, marking tasks complete, etc. can all be done without ever touching your mouse.

Easy To Learn and Use
What do you like best about the product?
The reminder emails when projects are due. It makes it simple and clear to see the tasks completed and tasks remaining, and eliminates the need to have to email team members to question where they are at in a project or task. It's an easy program to use with lots of tools to make planning efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have had only a positive experience with Asana, and have not had to contact customer services for any issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Although this software was used with a very small management team, I liked that I could easily see when a new task was added or when my supervisor (or myself) marked a task as "completed" so we could not only see what was left to do but see how much we've done.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This software was great for our small business and management team. It is pretty intuitive and I was able to use it without any issues and difficulty. Color coded tasks makes it simple to see when a task is "new" or "done". You can also see who added the task or marked the task as done, which would be useful for larger teams. I found this very useful when there was a single project being worked on by multiple people. The app makes it very easy to set tasks and projects quickly (think during or after a work meeting)
Great place for keeping up on to do lists for you and your company
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to keep track of my own private to do lists/sub check lists. To be able to assign tasks to others and to the group at large and keeping track of what still needs to be done
What do you dislike about the product?
When there are large numbers of tasks, items get lost in the shuffle because they will get buried in whats done versus what's left to be done.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Large tasks are broken down into tasks and subtasks so that they are easily done. All employees have access to the lists so tasks can be done when a remote worker is finished with all assigned tasks so that more the company moves forward.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a great piece of software for a company that is all remote and need to keep track of what needs to be done and what has been done.
Mad love for Asana
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to change ownership and dates. The layout gives a clear overview of every project.
What do you dislike about the product?
The mobile app is a little more clunky than the desktop experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our process is dependent on Asana.
Pretty Useful Software for Small Teams
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Asana replaced many of my to-do lists that I had to keep track of. Now I just type them down and I get automatic reminders.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is just a base program. It can't do much more than just be a basic project to-do list. I wish that it were easier to move tasks around and that things were not hidden so much.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to solve how multiple people can work on the same project, have greater visibility across teams and how to make our lives easier
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need a good starter PM program, this is it.
Great for teams
What do you like best about the product?
I loved the ability to create task list, projects, as well as maintain chats and chats within each project or task. I also thoroughly enjoyed the mobile app associated with the program. This increased productivity with our projects tremendously. I would reccomend this to all virtual teams as it offers not only task and productivity options but great communication options as well. Keeping track of communication for each task and each project is so helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would prefer there be more options available for basic usage without purchasing the full product. A more in depth tutorial would be great as well. The hardest part was integrating this product with my team's normal work flow as this just posed as another task in having to learn the products fully. I wish we could assign more than one person to a task without creating a duplicate task.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana solved the huge problem that many teams face with productivity and accountability for project management especially virtual teams. Being able to assign a person to a task or multiple task with a due date and even a time tracking addition is extremely helpful and boosted my teams productivity.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend this product for small project based teams and for teams needing to increase productivity. Virtual based teams will love this product as it offers both communication and productivity tracking in one app. The mobile apps make this product even more convenient to teams on the go and for projects with many small task.
Asana keeps me organized
What do you like best about the product?
Asana allows me to seamlessly work with my team. Nothing falls between the cracks and the tags and projects allow us to color code and better understand what job needs to be done when and for who.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't dislike anything about Asana. Their user experience is great and their platform is even better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving the problem of communication. Asana helps us to better communicate with one another, internally. I've realized the ease of use and the opportunity to work remote because Asana will handle passing tasks off from one person to another.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana may be complicated at first, but it's easy to use once you get the hang of it. It is by far one of my favorite project management softwares.
Fantastic task management system
What do you like best about the product?
We love how easy it is to use templates in particular - it helps us not recreate the wheel for things we do over and over again (like events and employee onboarding).
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that there were some additional search functions like searching for a task with no due date. I also wish that you could switch projects between lists and boards once they already exist.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it for templates and collaborating on projects. We also use it to keep meeting agendas.
Asana
What do you like best about the product?
I like the UI a lot! It's really easy to use and easy to understand. My team got set up and adopted the tool in a day. The project creation, subtasks, and new feature; boards, are a hit at my company.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love for it to connect more directly with other apps on my computer (slack, gchat, gmail, and google drive ) from the Asana UI rather than plugging Asana into each of those separate applications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving a communication gap between departments and teams. The benefits of the boards
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are running an Agile/Scrum dev environment the tasks replace sticky notes. It's a great collaborative environment and is really nice for communication and visibility of projects across teams.
