Could not live without Asana! Best Project Management & Team Communication Software
What do you like best about the product?
Asana helps organize communications, projects, and client work all in one-place. The dedicated workspaces are extremely useful when separating projects and keeping track of individual tasks with due dates, notes, comments and files. I love how easy it is to use on all my devices and the UX is easy to understand and follow.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel the mobile device app could be more robust. I wish I could delete my comments or files I upload to a task via mobile. I have to log-in to the desktop version to fully utilize all of Asana's capabilities. Another thing is that Asana's pricing is a bit confusing and could be a turn off to future clients who don't understand the free version vs the paid benefits.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team communication and tracking projects. I am able to get a quick overview of our existing and future projects by organizing it all in Asana. The benefits of using Asana is the ability to give better estimates on when projects can be completed versus being inundated with emails, Asana fixes that!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Hands down, you should try Asana over any other project management tools out there! It was created by former Facebook employees and they know what they are doing!

Great way to track tasks
What do you like best about the product?
I love that you are able to send emails straight to asana from your email.
What do you dislike about the product?
The difficulty in connecting other products, I am having a hard time connecting gmail calendar. Changing email is difficult. Due to name change my email changed and I am having a hard time changing it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This has helped our team to be able to share tasks and projects and easily tell when things are done and when we can support one another.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure your team is on board. It is difficult to use asana when you are the only one that is committed.
Great project management tool
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy this program is to use and everyone can easily track projects by client.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love for past employees to not show up at all any longer once they are removed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
time and project management is so much more efficient.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do the trial and see for yourself!
Asana for project management
What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can view your calendar and see what tasks you have for multiple projects all at once. It is easy to track group progress as well as individual tasks and plan your projects out for months with the calendar option.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to be able to assign a task to more than one person and to add more notes to the headers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to better track our tasks for multiple projects, see notes without having to have a meeting or phone call and update easily as needed.
Great easy to use task management
What do you like best about the product?
Has a simple user interface that enables people with all technical background to start using a task management platform. I especially like the ability to group teams together.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's quite costly for the premium tier (per user monthly subscription) and it doesn't have any robust integration to JIRA or other related platforms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Asana for one-off task completion which is more aligned to task checklist.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We use multiple task management platform and our use of Asana is more geared towards the quick tasks that we want captured so it doesn't fall off the plate. It is still quite expensive for that sole application (for larger teams) but it's quite intuitive to use and everyone that's tried it has adopted to it with minimal training.

Excellent, Light-Weight PM Software
What do you like best about the product?
Its UI and look and feel are great and intuitive and provides several options for visualizing projects and development. Team member controls are also great. Overall, it's a fantastic software product at a great price.
What do you dislike about the product?
It doesn't have super-detailed functionality that some other PM software's have, such sub-sub-tasks and multi-tiered task dependencies, etc., as well as a handful of other bells and whistles. That being said, most of that would be overkill for most small to mid-size businesses. Unless your business size or process require a high level of complexity for project management, Asana should give you what you need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has made it possible for us to streamline all of our production processes and projects, greatly increasing our efficiency as an organization.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just give it a trial and feel it out. Consider leveraging some of its functionality in unconventional ways.
Light Asana user
What do you like best about the product?
I work with numerous small teams on fast moving projects. Asana is very intuitive tool for new users, keeps us organized, and can scale as our project scale, so it's a great asset to my team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was more visualization of how tasks map out over time. We have to use other tools to see how projects across sub-categories intersect and affect our capacity, even though all the data is in Asana we don't have a way to line it up and compare.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The primary value add of Asana to my work is coordinating small teams on focussed projects. Often we bring in people who have never used Asana before, but they figure it out quickly and it integrates smoothly into all the tech we already use (email, mobile, desktop) to keep us all accountable for our deliverables.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure your scaling plan and resources fit with Asana's offering. There is a cap on the number of free users and the premium version is quite expensive.
