Not that great
What do you like best about the product?
It’s got cool graphic features like a shooting star when checking off tasks
What do you dislike about the product?
It’s not very user friendly, hard to tell if lists are private or public
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
None
Has potential, but extremely annoying
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is very user friendly and easy to understand your tasks and assign tasks to a team
What do you dislike about the product?
It sends a ridiculous amount of emails for tasks to the point that it overloads your inbox. It also doesn't feel like an all-in-one system built for teamwork, organization and cooperation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Somewhat annoying to use and non-collaborative. Gets the simple job of assigning tasks done.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Spend time configuring all the settings and learn how to get the most out of it.
More difficult for business partners
What do you like best about the product?
Keeping track of due dates of various tasks
What do you dislike about the product?
Email communication should go straight to email, not an email that you have to click on and then be taken to asana
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy to keep track of tasks and due dates
I find Asana so frustrating to use.
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easily you can sort tasks by due date, and that you can copy tasks to use at a later time. My client likes that it is free to use. That is the best thing about Asana.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that you can't quickly see tasks that are overdue on the home page. I have to click over to see all my tasks. In other PM tools you see the overdue tasks first. I don't find Asana as intuitive as other PM tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a free way to communicate tasks with clients. My clients are happy that they don't have to pay for a PM tool.
Like Slack for Creatives
What do you like best about the product?
It's useful to be able to reply all via email without having to open Asana...which is why I don't see the need for Asana.
What do you dislike about the product?
Difficult to scroll through long threads. Not sure what the perks of Asana is compared to Slack. Seems to have limited use cases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Design and product development. Can share files.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Mobile sign up process is a bit clunky. Also I'd advise not asking clients to download this if they already use other softwares.
Lack of assigning tasks to several people,
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use but lack a lot of things unfortunately
What do you dislike about the product?
Can't sign tasks to multiple users, the reason why we switched
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We stopped using it and went for clickup
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For a small team where people work on individual tasks, then go ahead
Not my type of project management tool
What do you like best about the product?
To be honest nothing, for project management i believe there are better tools
What do you dislike about the product?
It Just didnt work for my ongoing projects, our project manager didnt like it either
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It impacted our work in a negative way, clients were not happy with our progress
Too many changes
What do you like best about the product?
I like that they have many ways to help you organize your tasks and projects. Also, I liked that i could share the lists with other colleagues.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's too different from a simple system. I also didn't like that it encourages lots of organizing. I like to write all of my to dos in one place, and this system made me feel like I needed 5-6 to-do lists, which was overwhelming. Also, the cost. Too much money when you can do most of the same features in sticky notes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Benefits are keeping projects organized. Being able to know where you are within a project and also being able to share to do lists with others.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Price- it's a bit pricey when there are things like sticky notes, email, and Google sheets or Google docs. We ended up just sticking with Google docs because everyone could use it, it always saved in the cloud and it was free.
Not the best
What do you like best about the product?
I like that we can all be on the same tasks and update each other dimul
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve is steep. I still don’t feel like I know the software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it to make sure tasks get done and for when multiple people could do the same task.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you have support. I find this product to be very challenging to figure out.
Much better services out there
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, ability to build projects, tasks, and subtasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
This is very nimble software and easy to use but there is no accountability for tasks. Anyone can change due dates, whom the task is assigned to, or delete the task all together.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management and planning.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Look for software where not just any user can edit tasks.
