Great for task management
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is great for task management, with boards, timelines, sections, subtasks, attachments, dependencies, start dates, end dates, and more. We use it daily to organize all of our company tasks. Its integration with Slack is also nice.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you prefer a simple list or you already use a list somewhere else and don't really like task management software, then Asana might not be for you. Otherwise, Asana is very helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing tasks and due dates across various projects. Asana keeps these organized with lists, boards, and timelines, and allows adding subscribers to tasks so that they are notified of updates.

What do you dislike about the product?
Too many animals appearing. It is nice but I would like to have less animations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps solve several key challenges in both task and project management. One of the biggest problems it addresses is fragmentation of information—before using Asana, tasks, updates, and priorities were often scattered across emails, chats, and spreadsheets. Now, Asana acts as a single source of truth, where everything related to a project or workflow is centralized, visible, and easy to track.
It also solves the problem of unclear priorities and responsibilities. With features like task assignments, due dates, and project timelines, I always know what needs to be done, by whom, and by when. This clarity helps me stay focused and aligned with my team.
Another major benefit is the ability to automate repetitive workflows using rules and templates. This saves time and reduces the risk of manual errors, especially in recurring processes.
Finally, the AI integrations are a huge plus - they help summarize updates, suggest next steps, and make the overall experience more efficient and intelligent

Asana Helped My Leadership Team

It helps with team collaboration across the entire organization. Also, integration with my team was easy with the support of our Asana customer support. We used another platform and transition to Asana was easier because of the multi-views provided.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is very customizable which can be overwhelming when trying to get started.

There are so many projects that are happening across our organizations and require collaboration with many people. Asana helped reduce emails and created a central location to communicate, assign task and improve accountability.

Asana continues to evolve - now adopting AI
What do you like best about the product?
From the first time I used Asana, back in 2016, until now, it is remarkable how easy it is to use and easy to integrate with other platforms. Now with the inclusion of AI in rules and automated processes, the system allows for improved efficiencies and less confusion.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the globally recognized Project Management terms are misused or misinterpreted in some of the templates. Most Project Management apps generally use the same codes for project statuses but Asana uses their own. You can customize it which makes this a non-issue, but I think it is worth mentioning.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scheduling and task management.
Simple but powerful project management tool
What do you like best about the product?
Its simplicity and low learning curve. While some features may not be available when compared to other software options, all the basics are there.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main problem with Asana is the requirement to choose a start or a target date to set up all date calculations in a task. While it makes sense from a planning point of view, it lacks the flexibility of other PM options that allow for making date calculations.
It also lacks a powerful Gantt chart option, and the licensing structure can be confusing for some organizations that don't share a common domain.
It also lacks a powerful Gantt chart option, and the licensing structure can be confusing for some organizations that don't share a common domain.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana primarily addresses the question of "who is doing what and when." It offers a straightforward way to organize tasks and add labels for additional classification, making it easier to manage everything. Additionally, it facilitates collaboration by allowing users to add notes, comments, and attachments simply and visually.
Great for task organization
What do you like best about the product?
I like how seamless Asanas usability is. It's really great for staying organized with tasks and managing workflow. Highly recommend!
What do you dislike about the product?
There may be a bit of a learning curve with getting familiar with Asana, but after a while, it should be smooth sailing!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is single-handedly helping people maintain organized and current with all work that needs managing.
Excellent tool for Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is easy to use. I like the animations within the application that keeps the user engaged.
What do you dislike about the product?
I used asana in my previous organization and then wanted to introduce this tool in the new job, but the trail period ended too soon. If the trail period can be kept until x number of users are added instead of the number of days asana is used then it would be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The task assignment is very easy and it helps me keep track of of all the tasks which the user has been assigned with. I also like the dependant feature where a task is locked until the master or the parent task is completed. It has helped me address my deliverables in time. Task management is excellent which it comes to asana.

What do you dislike about the product?
They tend to make small updates that affect our use of Asana with seemingly no warning.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana lets us get a clear view of the time we spend on clients and the overall time our employees work. This helps us manage SOW but also ensures that our Experts aren't being overworked, maintaining our people-first culture.
A Balance of Power and Simplicity
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of Use and Intuitive Interface: This is consistently the top highlight. Asana is widely praised for its clean, user-friendly design. It's relatively easy to get started with, even for those new to project management software, and its layout is straightforward, making it simple to navigate tasks, projects, and communications. The learning curve is generally considered shorter than many of its competitors.
What do you dislike about the product?
Expensive for Advanced Features: While the free plan is decent for very small teams or personal use, many of Asana's truly powerful features (like Timeline/Gantt charts, Portfolios, Workload management, advanced reporting, and higher automation limits) are locked behind the more expensive Starter, Advanced, and Enterprise plans. The price per user can quickly add up for larger teams, making it a significant investment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Teams often struggle with knowing who is responsible for what task, what the next steps are, and by when they need to be completed. This leads to missed deadlines, duplicated efforts, and general confusion.
