Keeps me organized
What do you like best about the product?
The encouragements when you finish a task are fun and I love the gant chart. Used to make these with post its on the wall- having it in a software is exactly what I wanted. I like the option to have the sticky notes visual as well as just a list
What do you dislike about the product?
Most is self explanatory but a few features harder to figure out, like the documents / files.
Dont like that other users can take a task from you and assign it to themselves without permission. When working quickly on a project with a lot of tasks and a lot of peoplre, this has caused two people to work on a task at the same time on more than one occasion.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
staying organized, keep track of what needs to be done, delegating tasks, working on projects as a group. Nice to be able to save a workflow and copy for future use. So easy to mark a task as complete and send it along to the next person in the work flow or reassign to someone else. Nice to keep projects separate by department too
Recommendations to others considering the product:
super easy to use and for each person to customize to see tasks laid out in a way that is helpful to them.
Easily allows a project to move along from one person to the next with out the need for emails.
Keeps you motivated by encouraging you when you finish a task

Great for Teams!
What do you like best about the product?
I love that we can have individual tasks along with our Group tasks but are still able to keep them separate. This makes for easy tracking and assigning them to other team members.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that your tasks aren't sorted by completed/not completed. When you mark something complete, you hav eto manually drag it all the way down to the end of the list...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're having our projects completed on time and all members of our team are active in it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Keeping your projects prioritized and keeping all team members involved is a breeze with Asana.
Simple and customizable interface
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to customize to make things as simple or complex as you need. It only took me about ten minutes to get the hang of the software. I have a client who already uses Asana for task management. They assigned me a company email and it was great to be immediately connected to their other projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really dislike that you can't view more of the board tasks and cards at once. I think you can only see 4 cards and about 4 tasks down. I'd like to be able to remove certain features if I don't need them. For eI think the list dashboard can be simpler. I don't want to see blank lines if I don't need them. I'm a visual learner/worker and it crowds my thinking. I don't like that I have to really get into the software to be able to see where the shortcut keys are. It would benefit from having a quick list of shortcut keys you can learn about immediately upon signing up for the software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's great for project management for my freelance clients. It's nice to be able to control access and give them a snapshot of all the moving parts with the board feature. I tried a few other task management software programs and Asana stood out the most for its simplicity. Some of my clients are not tech savvy and it's really nice to see that it is simple for them to understand.

Asana is a life SAVER
What do you like best about the product?
Organizing my projects by board is such an amazing feature. It's like virtual sticky notes, but in an organized and easy-to-use fashion!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I had more customization with my tasks in terms of repeating. It would be nice to have tasks triggered by an event or schedule, like every other week or by date. Unfortunately, it only lets me repeat by week.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest benefit is managing a team. Working together to solve problems and work collaboratively on tasks has been a big help in keeping things moving in the right direction.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Investigate other softwares so you know just exactly how amazing Asana is! We investigated several project management software, but Asana kills it.
Game Changer!
What do you like best about the product?
Love how easy it is to use, and how easy it is to manage all those small details that cannot be overlooked, across everyone on our team. Especially if someone is off, their tasks can be easily picked up by someone else.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I could flag some of the tasks as a high priority
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making sure all the small tasks are being taken care of, having a system to make sure we're able to cover off each others tasks during absences, and having systems & processes in place for new projects

Watch Youtube videos to find best practices. It'll really help.
Awesome. Has helped with organization immensely.
What do you like best about the product?
I am a hard-core 'to-do lister' I live by them and I can't function without it. I have a ton of notebooks full of to-do lists and I hate wasting all that paper. I used Asana in a previous role and I LOVED IT. Knew I had to implement it with this role and I have not used a to-do list again. Love that you can assign tasks to users, and when it's marked as complete, you get a notification!
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly nothing! They have changed their layout so much and it is so much easier to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organization! Helps with staff who have a million things to do throughout the day and need to rely on a software to get organized.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend trying it out for yourself first and using the free trial. Then, it's easy to present to staff and get them excited about using the platform.
Seamless Task Management with a Rotating Team
What do you like best about the product?
Asana has a multitude of layers that I believe really contribute to its success. The Project>Task>Subtask workflow has quickly become a vital key in my office, allowing a shifting staff (many of our staff are traveling at different times - our most regular workers are student employees, and even then their schedules are variable) to keep near-perfect track of planning processes throughout the year.
What do you dislike about the product?
My biggest complaints rest in a few quirks that are able to be gotten around but could be easier, the foremost being that there's no real way to track if a Task's subtasks are only half-finished without opening the task. The interface as a whole could be developed to be a bit sleeker and perhaps provide more info from the overview.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prior to utilizing Asana, we had archaic system built around Gmail tagging and Drive spreadsheets. Asana has made tracking and communicating within the office a million times more efficient, as well as easier.
Asana Review
What do you like best about the product?
User interface is very friendly. Easy to navigate and laid out in a very organizational type of way.
What do you dislike about the product?
The reports section was not always accurate and did not lay out my tasks that I had completed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Long term project organization and assigning tasks to everyone on our team so there is no confusion about who needs to do what by a certain time.
Asana is one of the simplest task management softwares out there, yet it has extreme complexity.
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is simple. But it allows you to go into more depth with custom fields and projects. Within a single project you can have multiple custom fields. Essentially, planning for a big event, website launch, office move, or anything else can be easily organized. And once this is done, task management for the week is done within minutes. We also use Scrum in Asana. I cannot go into depth here, but Scrum is a system for helping run your company.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana is very laggy and slow at times. This is due to the fact that Asana is one of the largest task management softwares out there, and they sometimes have outages (like 1% of the time). But, nonetheless, it would be nice to see the system create a completely native OSx and Application. This would blow me out of the water.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Planning at our company used to be cumbersome. Now we take a week and plan out the quarter. And we use a system called Sprints to plan every Monday for the entire week. Asana is flexible enough to incorporate these systems.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is the best task management software out there. It is flexible enough to fit into any industry.
Actually fun to use
What do you like best about the product?
The organizational structure of project tasks is to-the-point and helps you to easily plan work. The unique themes and fun animations that are prevalent throughout the app make it a joy to use rather than a chore. The tasks and their descriptions store history so you can track changes to project specs.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't really much to dislike about Asana. The application is easy to use and there isn't much you can't do with its current capabilities. One striking limitation when compared to a tool like JIRA is lack of full-fledged support for ticketing-like workflows (i.e., attributing tasks to application versions, attaching extra files, etc.).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps with the everyday problem of planning large projects/applications. You are essentially forced to break down projects into detailed task descriptions and provide points / rating for them. This simple rubric helps you to divide work and forecast time to completion.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking for a simple, easy-to-use project-planning application, Asana is a great first stop. It has a intuitive look and feel (shortcuts are a bit obscure) and you can quickly get started and onboard a whole team to get into using Asana.
