The single best task management & collaboration tool
What do you like best about the product?
As a roughly 6-person company with team members spread across the globe, we live and breathe Asana. Ever aspect of our executive coaching business runs on Asana, from low-level day-to-day tasks to high-level aspirational growth goals from the company. Asana makes it incredibly easy to establish repeating workflows and build systems for nearly every aspect of your business.
What do you dislike about the product?
As powerful as Asana's collaboration features are, they can infringe a little bit on privacy if you're not careful. You need to be very careful when creating and tracking a task you don't want others to see or have access to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Every aspect of our organization runs through Asana. We solve daily task management through Asana, 1:1 meeting agendas, high-level growth goals for the organization, and both long and short-term project planning.
Best Software I have used to keep up & updated with Tasks.
What do you like best about the product?
I love the way I can communicate with my colleagues and specially they get to see I was able to complete that task and if by any chance I get to end my shift with out completing that Task, they'll be able to continue that Tasks to make sure it gets completed.
What do you dislike about the product?
At the moment this software is perfect at least to me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I get to complete most of my tasks once I get assigned to them. I can just completed and if I need more time i'll just need to contact who ever I have to and change the due date to buy more time and get back to it when ever. I love it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is an a most software to have. It'll help everyone in the company to keep up with any tasks does not mater how difficult it can be, becs every one will be updated by just clicking in the task of the day.
Fast, Reliable, and Convenient!
What do you like best about the product?
Very user friendly and easy to learn. I like that you can sync it with other applications to multi-task. For example you can sync with Slack and use command from Slack messaging application to automatically created task inside Asana for you. I like that you can structure different task group and share with individuals who need to take action on those tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far I have been using Asana for about a year, and I have not come across something a currently dislike about the application.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana to manage workflow and projects with our partner we work very closely with.
Great product for project/task management and team coordination
What do you like best about the product?
Asana has a very clean & usable interface that is really easy to learn and adapt to.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some advanced features aren't included - like time tracking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cross-organizational team work has become possible with Asana. I can work on my clients' Asana boards to share project progress with them.
Awesome Project Management Tool!!
What do you like best about the product?
How easy it is to stay organized on a project, and how easy it is to assign "to-dos"
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing about Asana that I would change! Its incredibly user friendly, and useful!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is making project management very easy for us. We use Asana to stay on top of "tasks", and to make sure we stay organized with certain projects. Asana makes it very clear when deadlines are, and allows for communication between team members for status updates and comments
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I definitely recommend Asana to anyone looking for a project management tool. This has helped our department stay organized, and has made sure that no tasks fall through the cracks
Friendly and basic
What do you like best about the product?
Basic task-assigning site that is very comprehensive and easy to use. Good for a small number of employees, I don't know about a bigger company. All users can assign tasks/subtasks to other users and marking off tasks is easy; the animations are cute and fun.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing really - it can look a little cluttered but it's pretty easy to sort and prioritize stuff
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Assigning and keeping track of tasks needing to get done
Recommendations to others considering the product:
great for organization and inter-company task assignments
Robust and growing platform for planning and managing project
What do you like best about the product?
The interface truly is one of the best parts of the app. The nudges and UX is just fun and memorable. The app offers a wide variety of features and doesn't cost as much as some other tools. The Timeline feature is great for planning larger projects, and the possibility of a proofing and approval functionality is exciting.
What do you dislike about the product?
If there's one thing I really don't like about the tool, it's the fact there's no way to switch a project back and forth between board view (Kanban) and list view.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use this tool to plan, run, and analyze our projects. This includes websites, videos, branding projects and more. It's helped reduce the spinup time for projects by allowing us to create and use project templates.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I'd highly recommend giving Asana a test drive to see if it fits your needs. It's a really robust app and very affordable.
Keeping Projects on Track
What do you like best about the product?
I've always been a list maker. I enjoy the feeling of being able to cross a task off as soon as it's completed. Asana steps up the task completion fun by providing you with a flying unicorn or other creature after a task is completed. Make sure the option is switched on though, otherwise you miss the magic.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana is a great project management tool once you get the hang of it. However, if everyone on your team is not using the program, it doesn't work to it's full capability. Also, I wish it was a little more user friendly. It's a little difficult to navigate when you're a beginner just starting out. Also, those flying magical creatures you see after completing a project, I wish those happened after EVERY completion, not just a few.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've become more organized with my everyday tasks and have managed to reach project deadlines with ease using Asana. Our office has started using the calendar and subtasks feature as well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Schedule a Asana workshop with your team and really take the time to learn how to use Asana properly. Make sure everyone feels confident when using the program. Switch on the "Show occasional celebrations upon task completion" in your settings. You won't be disappointed.
Asana takes a moment to fully adopt but once you're running it's awesome!
What do you like best about the product?
Dependencies work flawlessly, comments/inbox/alerts are great. Overall, Asana has become the core of operations.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish you could download timeline view into a PDF, you can still share the timeline but it would be great to add to presentations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organization and project management for our clients. Status project and the pillar for our status report meetings.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do it. Asana does take a bit to fully learn (it's packed with features like portfolios, projects, etc) but once you do - and have your company fully adopted... it will be your work wall garden.
A lot of great features even with the free version
What do you like best about the product?
Asana does a great job of keeping me on task. I like getting the reminders each day for the separate work spaces so I can quickly see what I need to accomplish that day. It's also easy to create new projects, separate tasks into sections and assign them to staff.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great if there was a view that incorporated all work spaces. It is difficult to schedule tasks when you can't see everything at once. I have to keep my calendar open when scheduling to make sure I am not overlapping tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving our task and project management with Asana. The biggest benefit is staying on task, not missing deadlines and managing projects that may be falling behind.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have multiple projects with multiple work spaces you may want to consider alternatives to Asana.
