Asana An Effective Project Management Solution for Individuals, Teams, Departments, and Beyond
What do you like best about the product?
Asana provides an intuitive user interface for managing projects, assigning tasks, and ensuring everything remains on target for completing everything on time.
What do you dislike about the product?
While I have seen others generate impressive reports using Asana, I have not been able to unlock the reporting feature. For me, creating custom reports is just not as intuitive as the rest of the application.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana provides a single platform that allows me to manage my personal projects, review my team's projects, evaluate my team member's activities and workload, and gain insights into projects that my impact my team or myself within my department.

I love how easy it is to use. It helps you stay organized and can easily see all of the tasks due in a project. It also allows others to see what needs to be completed and what happened already.

It's not helpful if the entire team doesn't use Asana because there are breakdowns in the process.

Game-Changer for Organizing & Automating Complex Workflows
What do you like best about the product?
Asana has become the backbone of how I manage projects for a busy eCommerce team. I’ve been able to set up branching intake forms that route directly to the right custom fields, automate repetitive steps in our go-to-market launches, and multi-home tasks across multiple projects so nothing falls through the cracks. Building leadership portfolios has given our executives visibility into progress on strategic initiatives without requiring constant status meetings. With the right setup, Asana has allowed me to turn complex, cross-functional workflows into something clear, trackable, and (best of all) repeatable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the more advanced features I rely on, like branching logic mapping to multiple custom fields, still have limitations that require workarounds. Reporting also takes extra effort if I need detailed, nuanced metrics without exporting to a spreadsheet. Asana is incredibly powerful once it’s built out, but it does take a lot of upfront planning and process discipline to fully leverage. A few small enhancements in form flexibility, portfolio filtering, and automation triggers would make it even more efficient. I also utilize Flowsana for advanced automation features, and it would be amazing to see these features integrated into Asana's out-of-the-box capabilities as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana has taken what used to be a tangle of email threads, spreadsheets, and one-off conversations and turned it into a single, organized hub for all our work. For me, that means I can coordinate complex product launches, campaign builds, and department-wide initiatives without chasing down updates or re-explaining timelines. Automations handle repetitive tasks, forms ensure requests come in with the right details, and portfolios give leadership an at-a-glance view of progress. It’s cut down on manual follow-up, improved transparency across teams, and freed me up to focus on higher-value work instead of project babysitting.

time management
Useful tool for keeping track of deliverables
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to set due dates and plan project dependencies. Nice UX
What do you dislike about the product?
Missing some useful automations/settings. The ability to set tasks to automatically be dependent on subtasks would be a game changer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It prevents us from having to manually track all deliverables.
diverse, easy to access and use. feels like the ultimate CRM

Great for task management
What do you like best about the product?
Rules and easily convert tasks to sub tasks
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that after two weeks of Asana Use, the learning materials would be archived or removed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tasks and subtasks. And add collaborators to them.
Didn't expect to find it so useful and versatile!
What do you like best about the product?
It really helps me see what I need to get done this week, and to break it down in to bite sized steps, track it with dependencies and multi-homing, and then have it automatically get cleared when it meets certain criteria. Learning the tool is quite easy as well
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the rules and features are limited in quite odd ways (e.g., rule functionalities for portfolios are incredibly limited compared to project rules, date fields barely have any automatable functionalities)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Makes it easier to break down tasks in an organised way - thus making it clearer on what I need to do, how, and how long it will take
- The automation is very easy to learn yet versatile, so I can make anything from a comms request tracker to a project that closes itself upon meeting certain criteria
- Collaboration is very easy to do; you can easily assign people tasks, make them collaborators, invite them to boards etc and have a clear view of what access they have
