Great for task organization and collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is simple to use for assigning and completing tasks across our various teams. It helps with tracking and making sure things get done.
What do you dislike about the product?
Things can get a little disorganized with so much of the subsections that we maintain. Would be helpful to have more prioritization options within it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Asana to create and assign tasks for different members of different teams. We can also collaborate on new ideas and projects.
Great project management tool for content marketing
What do you like best about the product?
The depth of functionality within Asana is remarkable. I really like visualizing project timeliness in different forms. As a project manager, creating templates and using dependent tasks make my life a little easier, too. The price is reasonable and the support forum is helpful/responsive.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's very difficult to get used to. Coming from Basecamp -- where things looked simpler -- Asana took me a while to understand. It's like learning Excel for the first time: it's complex and there are many features, but once you learn how it works, it's a lifesaver.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana keeps our business processes in check. We can deliver work to clients on time and on budget.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use the free 30-day trial for a few projects before deciding to go all in and switch systems.
Good Program for Business Management
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a website where you can easily manage a company's tasks. You can easily create work groups and add employees. Within those groups, you can create tasks for each person or groups of people, and those tasks, in turn, can be returned once completed or modified with tags to make it easier to locate the tasks. It is a very useful tool for documenting, for example, work done in a warehouse or a company with many departments that need to be in contact.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I like the least is that we depend on the internet; if it goes down, we can't access anything. There should be something local, so that if the connection is lost, at least you can see what you had until then. The searches are also not entirely well done; there are more fields they should include for searching, as there are things you can't easily search for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In the company where I work, there is a before and after since we have Asana... it hasn't been perfect. Before, there was a lot of disorder in the company, now with this website, we can pass tasks to each other, write modifications on them, and pass them among colleagues and likewise, pass them to other departments of the company. It's also good for my bosses, as they can have greater control over tasks and time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
it is highly recommended
Great product management tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like the Asana Slack integration the best. It helps us to assign tasks more effortlessly
What do you dislike about the product?
Some customization seems overkill. Such as the different projects lists and boards. Less is more.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used it to track projects, assign tasks and a report on progress
Asana offers basic organization
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is very good for collaborating with team members, and tracking which tasks need to be done. It is a good way to stay on top of what you should be doing at work, especially for projects with a lot of small tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no in-progress task status or "need help" task status for projects. It would be intuitive to have a way to share with your collaborators where you are at with your project, such as "in progress" or "roadblock" or anything with an icon instead of just "task" and "complete". That said, it is a good, basic communication tool for working on projects and holding each other accountable with deadlines.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Event management for fundraisers at our non-profit. It has helped us keep on track of what we need to be doing and what has yet to get done for the event, especially time-sensitive deadlines.
Useful and attractive
What do you like best about the product?
I like using asana because it's very attractive and simple to use. I like that I can use Lists or Boards to organize projects. Tasks are easy to create and keep track of. It's useful to see where changes have been made within projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that anyone can change tasks and that there are not different user permissions. I'd like to see some more capabilities with project tracking numbers. I haven't found any useful solutions to that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps me keep my teams' projects organized and on time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana is simple to use and seems to be adding new capabilities and improvements. I'd recommend the platform to users who have don't have too many tasks within projects. It takes a fair amount of time to keep asana organized and useful.
Great project management tool
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to create, manage and monitor tasks. Assigning task is fairly straightforward and Asana automatically tracks time. We use Slack integration and it makes task management a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of a hierarchical task view makes it difficult to look for related subtasks in different tasks. Because of that we ended up not using subtasks that often, and pay the price for having too many primary tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
t's very easy to start with the product, and great for the basic use cases. However, task hierarchy is desirable if you manage multiple projects across different teams (like UX + Dev + QA)
Easy to add tasks, projects, and deadlines; LOVE calendar format
What do you like best about the product?
My team and I use this to schedule social media posts for all of our programs, and the calendar view helps us ensure we space things out well and don't inundate our followers with too much content on any given day.
What do you dislike about the product?
You can mark tasks as dependent on other people within the platform, but you can't mark them as dependent on people who aren't in the system or just as dependent without selecting a person.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Clarity and ease of scheduling social media posts, assigning tasks and commenting to team members in other buildings
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You can upload pictures and documents, so you don't have to email them!
Works well for colaberation
What do you like best about the product?
Designating tasks to different staff members has been a huge hit with the team. it has made coordinating projects much easier. Having due dates and an easy to use calendar allows for good team management.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish there was more chat integration like slack.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project Management. keeping tasks on track. Getting every one to use asana has been harder than i expected. everyone has their own way of keeping their projects in order. Seeing the why behind the what has been crucial for us to ensure positive use of the software.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a product that is well worth considering as a tool for your team. Using this along with a communication tool makes a very effective tool.
Help keep your team projects organized!
What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Asana for years and it really helps keep the team organized and always on the same page! It's very easy to tag people in comments or even just add them as a task follower so they can monitor a project.
It also updates in real-time so if other team members are working in the same task as you (either adding comments, updating the task or even adding attachment files) it's all visible in real-time by you when your in the same task as them.

What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it was easier, and more obvious to other users, to set your Asana account as 'Out of Office' when you are either Out of Office or possible on Vacation as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The business problem that Asana solves it keeping everyone updated to a task, so the team can work more efficiently by not having to catch certain people up.
