Essential for Remote Team Collaboration, but Requires Extensive Onboarding

  • November 19, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how Asana helps keep our team connected, even though we all work remotely for a significant portion of the week. It enables us to communicate in real time as we progress through different projects, making it invaluable for our creative collaboration across all departments in a small nonprofit. I love that Asana makes it very easy for our team to stay focused and connected on complex and lengthy tasks. It's a great platform for direct communication and allows us to champion each other's work as we go through projects together.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the onboarding process for Asana quite challenging, as it takes a significant amount of time and effort to train the entire team, especially given their varying skill sets. It required dedicated team members to focus on this as part of their job for several weeks. While Asana is a robust platform, this complexity in initial training could be a potential concern for new users or teams considering adopting it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana to keep my remote team connected, enabling real-time communication and collaboration on complex tasks across departments at our nonprofit.

I greatly appreciate Asana for its simple and intuitive interface, which makes managing daily tasks straightforward and ensures I don't forget anything important. The ease with which I can handle my workload daily is truly valuable. Additionally, the visual overview of projects is incredibly beneficial. It allows me to move priorities of tasks and projects effortlessly, helping me see what's most critical at a glance. This functionality makes it feel much like a virtual whiteboard, enhancing my ability to organize and prioritize effectively. The initial setup of Asana was very easy, which made transitioning to using it seamless for me and my team. Overall, the combination of these features makes Asana an indispensable tool in my daily work, offering efficiency and clarity in managing tasks and projects.

Streamlined Task Management with Continuous Improvements

  • November 18, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Asana allows me to keep it simple and use it in the way that I intend to, making my experience straightforward and tailored to my methods. I appreciate the ongoing addition of new features, which reflects continuous innovation. Even though not all new features complement my usage, the effort to innovate reassures me about working with Asana and gives hope for future improvements to enhance our efficiency. I value the ability to create projects and have them neatly organized in the left-hand side panel, making navigation between different views quick and efficient, while allowing customization for my needs. Creating tasks within projects and assigning them to myself organizes everything in one list, further enhanced by creating sections to prioritize effectively. Having intuitive tools is crucial, and Asana meets this by making the initial setup very intuitive, which helps me get started without encountering challenges.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the constant changing of layouts in Asana just for the sake of giving it a fresh look. This change affects productivity negatively. I prefer a stable interface with one continuous panel that allows scrolling, making it easier to find everything with collapsible sections. Additionally, the new panel system has gotten thicker, which I don't appreciate. Another issue is the rearrangement of task order when dates are changed; I prefer them to maintain the same order. Finally, the automation rules in Asana are not automatically included in the service, and they're not user-friendly, which is quite inconvenient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana to organize work and track tasks, creating lists and delegating tasks with due dates. It helps keep everything on track without relying on memory, enabling efficient project planning and management.

Streamlined Project Management, Needs More Automation

  • November 18, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love Asana's feature that allows me to tag someone directly within a task and have a discussion right there. This capability enhances organization and communication, ensuring that discussions are contextually linked to the respective tasks. It streamlines workflow by containing all relevant dialogue and updates in one place, reducing the need to switch between different communication tools and making it easier to track the progress of tasks within the project framework.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find Asana lacking in automation features. Specifically, it would be helpful if Asana could automatically adjust task dates when setting up annual projects. This would streamline the process and save time when preparing for the following year by automatically resetting project timelines based on a new event date.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana to keep our team organized and ensure tasks are completed on time. I love tagging colleagues for discussions within tasks, enhancing communication and collaboration.

Streamlined Campaign Management with Asana's Intuitive Dashboard

  • November 17, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I absolutely love the timeline feature in Asana; it stands out as my favourite aspect, providing a clear and organized view of our projects, which makes tracking progress very straightforward. The dashboard is another element I really appreciate; its layout is comfortable, user-friendly, and greatly aids in managing our tasks. It's particularly effective because it allows me to see who is responsible for each task, making accountability effortless, and offers a delightful experience when marking tasks as complete with the fun feature of a unicorn animation. I've been using Asana for about five years now, and it has consistently been a great tool that supports our project and campaign management efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have a few areas where I feel Asana could improve. First, since 2021, I haven't noticed much development in the dashboard's appearance. I'd prefer it to be a bit more engaging and fun, which is a personal preference. Additionally, the continuous flow of emails can be overwhelming. Another significant drawback is the lack of clarity regarding which campaign each task is associated with. On the task board, although I can see tasks due today, it's unclear which campaign they belong to. I would appreciate more clarity in this aspect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find Asana enhances campaign management, enabling up-to-date tracking and accountability across our teams. It simplifies time management with an intuitive dashboard and timeline, facilitating easier task oversight.

Essential for Efficient Project Management

  • November 17, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find Asana to be a comprehensive solution for our team's needs, serving as a one-stop shop for project management. Its intuitive and easy-to-use interface streamlines our workflow, ensuring that tasks and timelines are well organized. This setup enhances our team's efficiency by keeping us on track and ensuring timely completion of projects. I particularly appreciate how Asana provides clarity and control over our tasks, helping us avoid duplication of effort and maintaining a singular focus for each task. The task management and timeline features are especially valuable, aiding in our goal of project completion without redundancies. I also find the training videos beneficial for easing the transition and familiarization with the software.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, it's a little difficult to find specific projects or documents within Asana. I wish the search tool was easier to use or more intuitive about finding documents that might not be named as specifically as what one might type into the search box.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana enhances our project management by keeping everything under control with appropriate timelines, prevents task duplication, provides a repository for past and current projects, and significantly boosts team efficiency, ensuring timely completion of work.

Streamlined Project Management with Excellent Multiuser Features

  • November 17, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Asana for its effective task tracking and commenting capabilities, which significantly enhance my awareness of everything happening within a project. The system's usability for easy communication between team members across different time zones is particularly valuable. It allows us to visualize various work paths more clearly. The ability to send screenshots or pictures of completed tasks and quickly comment on them for iterations simplifies our workflow and fosters more efficient teamwork. Furthermore, I found the initial setup of Asana to be incredibly straightforward, even for team members who had little prior training, which speaks volumes about its user-friendly interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it challenging that Asana only allows one person to be the owner of a project. In cases where collaboration is essential, such as when two people are equally responsible for a project, this limitation can be restrictive. It would be beneficial to have the option to assign ownership to multiple users, ideally up to three, to better reflect collaborative efforts and ensure all responsible parties can manage and update the project comprehensively.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana for project management and KPI tracking, solving timing issues, prioritization, and providing clear project overviews. It facilitates easy team communication across time zones with tracking and commenting features, enhancing project awareness.

Transforming Project Management with Asana

  • November 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I genuinely appreciate how Asana significantly enhances coordination and visibility across departments, especially for my work in the construction industry. It transforms complex project phases like design, procurement, and installation into manageable tasks, efficiently coordinating who does what and when, thereby eliminating confusion and enhancing productivity. The capability to turn project data into strategic reports and dashboards offers management real-time, actionable insights, which is a game-changer for business strategy. What stands out to me is Asana's user-friendly interface combined with features like multihoming, smart workflows, and AI, which together make project management seamless and incredibly efficient. Multihoming allows displaying the same project information across different departments without duplication while smart workflows automate processes, reducing manual labor and increasing accuracy and communication. The AI assistant provides invaluable support, offering context and solutions for project-related queries, enhancing overall usability regardless of one's project knowledge. The active and supportive community coupled with Asana’s commitment to adapting to future needs assures me of its continuous support and growth alongside our business. Lastly, the support from the Asana sales team before we signed up, along with extended trial usage, made our entire team confident and competent in using Asana from day one, aiding a smooth and successful company-wide implementation.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found the onboarding process for Asana to be challenging. Our business case required a complex workflow that was difficult to build initially. This complexity was compounded by the Asana support team, as they needed a deeper understanding of our specific needs to offer valuable advice. The lack of alignment and understanding from the support team meant we had to do most of the heavy lifting ourselves when setting up the workflows. More planning and alignment before signing up could have made the process smoother.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Asana to improve coordination and visibility across departments, turning project data into actionable reports. It reduces app subscriptions, enhances information accuracy, and boosts project management with multihoming, smart workflows, and AI, solving our previous visibility and information sharing issues.

I appreciate how Asana supports both efficiency and collaboration, enabling everyone on my team to easily contribute their input into tasks and projects. With all these features, I feel confident giving Asana a recommendation score of 9 out of 10.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find searching for information in Asana challenging, especially when it comes to older tasks. It's not always easy to locate them, which can disrupt efficiency. It would be beneficial if tasks were listed alphabetically, allowing completed or pending tasks to be organized in this manner to enhance searchability.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana to enhance efficiency and collaboration in task management and project creation, allowing everyone to contribute and track task completion easily.
