The answer is Yes. It's worth it

What do you like best about the product?
Relatively easy to adopt. It's helpful even using the most basic functions and building from there. You don't have to be a power user from the start. It's my daily do list done for me. I user far less if any post its anymore. Additionally the amount of live courses and support is abundant also.
What do you dislike about the product?
Change management for those who have never worked with a project management 'system' is challenging. It's about adopting and championing it for those used to managing through spreadsheets. However there are plenty of free courses to assist in understanding it's use.

Would love a 'dual assignee' ability when a Portfolio, Project or Task is co-owned. and Portfolio just called a Folder
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organizing the amount of tasks across many functions and the variety of due dates that come with all those tasks. Because I'm a fractional consultant I get even more done in the time allotted. It is also creating visibility to the workload and intake that is growing. And it's setting up the company for future operational efficiency now .

What do you like best about the product?
It has been immensely helpful when routing workload and having a clear example of where we stand in terms of our goals.
What do you dislike about the product?
lack of excel integrations, only works Easly with google sheets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Instead of a dated version of tracking through Excel we are able to visually track our projects and goals.
It makes it easier to see where people stand with their workload and task.
With rules and integrations, we are able to link many of our daily software into Asana for a simple workflow.

Game-Changer for Organizing & Automating Complex Workflows

  • August 04, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana has become the backbone of how I manage projects for a busy eCommerce team. I’ve been able to set up branching intake forms that route directly to the right custom fields, automate repetitive steps in our go-to-market launches, and multi-home tasks across multiple projects so nothing falls through the cracks. Building leadership portfolios has given our executives visibility into progress on strategic initiatives without requiring constant status meetings. With the right setup, Asana has allowed me to turn complex, cross-functional workflows into something clear, trackable, and (best of all) repeatable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the more advanced features I rely on, like branching logic mapping to multiple custom fields, still have limitations that require workarounds. Reporting also takes extra effort if I need detailed, nuanced metrics without exporting to a spreadsheet. Asana is incredibly powerful once it’s built out, but it does take a lot of upfront planning and process discipline to fully leverage. A few small enhancements in form flexibility, portfolio filtering, and automation triggers would make it even more efficient. I also utilize Flowsana for advanced automation features, and it would be amazing to see these features integrated into Asana's out-of-the-box capabilities as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana has taken what used to be a tangle of email threads, spreadsheets, and one-off conversations and turned it into a single, organized hub for all our work. For me, that means I can coordinate complex product launches, campaign builds, and department-wide initiatives without chasing down updates or re-explaining timelines. Automations handle repetitive tasks, forms ensure requests come in with the right details, and portfolios give leadership an at-a-glance view of progress. It’s cut down on manual follow-up, improved transparency across teams, and freed me up to focus on higher-value work instead of project babysitting.
