Asana -review

  • October 01, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is one of the easiest project management tools to use, offering integration with Slack, Google Drive, and several other well-known platforms. It also provides a great range of features and services even in its free version.
What do you dislike about the product?
While using the product, the feature I disliked the most was that only one person can be assigned to a task. Even though we can add other permissions, there should at least be an option to assign a sub-assignee.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing projects is easy thanks to its integration with other major platforms. Even though I'm using the free version, I still find it very effective.

Essential for Project Management with Room for Improvement

  • October 01, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy using Asana for project management due to its ability to provide more visibility into tasks, eliminating the need to manually search through spreadsheets. Its automation features are highly beneficial for automatically assigning tasks based on workspaces. I appreciate the ability to create templates, which streamlines repetitive tasks and reduces costs. The portfolio option also helps in maintaining an organized workflow without additional charges. The Slack integration is incredibly useful, allowing my team to receive notifications without needing direct access to Asana. The reasonable pricing and the comprehensive feature set make Asana a worthwhile choice for a startup.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found setting up Asana a bit difficult, mainly because the hierarchy features don't really work as expected. Additionally, when copying and pasting files within a particular hierarchy, the order gets reversed, which is inconvenient. It forces me to paste one by one, defeating the purpose of using a project management tool to avoid handling hundreds of spreadsheets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana for improved task visibility, reducing manual spreadsheet tracking, automating task assignments, and simplifying client interactions. Its automation rules and Slack integration enhance project management efficiency, benefiting both internal and external teams.

Flexible & Intuitive Project Management Software

  • September 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love Asana. I have used many project management software options, and it has been the most flexible and user-friendly for all team members. I recommend it to nearly everyone. You can set up projects in anyway that makes sense to your team, team members can view their tasks in a multitude of different ways for different brains, and it's so easy to use. The help functionality is phenomenal. It doesn't require any complicated installation or implementation. You can use the mobile app, online instance, or desktop version and they all work well and stay updated.
What do you dislike about the product?
As mentioned, I have used Asana for years. I have used the free version. I have used it when the only options were free and paid, and all the functionality came with the paid version. The current instance feels like being nicked-and-dimed. Features dangled in front of you that you have to upgrade to use. This didn't use to be the case, and it's frustrating when you used to get all the bells and whistles with a single paid version. As a nonprofit organization, we have to be very careful of how we spend our budget, and it's irritating to know there is functionality we could and would use, but we can't because we can't afford to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana keeps my team organized and on a set schedule. We can manage many fast-paced and complicated projects without dropping any balls or missing deadlines because everyone knows what their tasks are and when to expect them due.

All in One Organization

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a great tool to get teams organized. It is flexible and has lots of configuration options that mean whatever your team's workflow, it can handle it. I was only introduce to Asana about 4 weeks ago and I already feel very confident using it. Great training and onboarding videos were helpful! It was easy to implement with new users and customer support on doing that was pretty helpful. We also easily integrated it with our other systems. We use it frequently, multiple times per day and it's great.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few features that are missing, like being able to customize emails that are returned to guests. These are frustrating especially since everything else is so easy. I also get frustrated when it is hard to find an answer via the Chat AI helper. I usually just go to Google and find it out that way vs. the Asana resources.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This helps us with requests coming in and making sure our stakeholders know where they are in the process.
