Easy to get going and use
What do you like best about the product?
Logic Monitor made the installation and startup relatively easy with an implementation expert being assigned. The ongoing maintenance has been minimal from the Logic Monitor system with periodic updates to collector software and data modules. I use the product daily for many needs as a network and voice administrator.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not an ability to have a custom background along with device placement in the tool. This is important for larger facilities with many IDFs and helps visualize issues happening at a local level.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LogicMonitor helped us centralize our network/telecom and server monitoring solutions into a single platform. This has helped us supress uncessary alerts and escalations for our server teams when network failures were present. Additionally we brought on website monitoring for several external websites which has allowed us to be more proactive with issue identification and remidation.

LogicMonitor helps us professionalize our proactive monitoring
What do you like best about the product?
Our partnership is key to a succesful implementation and keeping uptodat with al the new features and possibilities
What do you dislike about the product?
I would prefer a more concurrent licensing model to pay only for what you use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have perfect insights in the health of our monitored assets
Perfect for fullstack Voice Engineering
What do you like best about the product?
In my opinion Flexibility is the best feature about LogicMonitor.
The platform's ootb multi-vendor Data/Property/Config/etc sources allows great integration for the collection of metrics we care to have and the way we want the whole Voice environment interact with LogicMonitor. If there is nothing available, LogicMonitor has a lot of options to explore and be able get the needed results.
Not only on a system perspective, but also on a Human perspective, I think Logicmonitor provides excelent professionals and the help we need to keep evolving and bring value on the usage of LM.

What do you dislike about the product?
Current hybrid stage on the UI creates challenges on finding the desired fileds to configure, and maybe that is the only thing that I "dislike" about LogicMonitor.
For the rest, considering your experience with other clients, I would like to see more initiative from LM side to "teach us" the HOW and best practices/solutions were put in place on similar fullstack environments like ours. Topics like Observability and OTel would be great to learn more from your side about this.

We have great control about the Health state of our environment. System maintenances, implementations or changes, we have good visibility about the behaviors of our systems & services. This visibility allows to make a good planning of the work ahead of time which benefits the whole team.
Booking.com - Quick and easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
I have the below comments about the things I like about LogicMonitor:
Ease of Use: Platform is easy to use and navigate.
Ease of Implementation: Quick and easy to get this setup, main delays are setting up the connectivity permissions on network devices.
Customer Support: Live chat function is really useful (when it works).
Numbers of Features: Platform is feature rich with support for most depoloyments.
Ease of Integration: A lot of good intergrations out of the box such as: Slack, ServiceNow, PagerDuty.

What do you dislike about the product?
I have the below comments about the things I dislike:
Integrations: We are currently lacking integration with Aruba Central for our SD-BRANCH and also Aruba UXI which is used for user experience testing. (Aruba UXI uses webhooks which LM does not support).
Ease of Use: I find the new UI difficult to use sometimes with a lot of things hidden away in menus, also have difficult with moving multiple device groups collectors to a new group.

Before we started out LM journey we were using a in-house solution built by developers internally. The solution itself worked perfectly and did the job we needed, but with it being in-house means that we started to notice things being left out due to lack of maintenance. We also had problems whenever we wanted to make any changes, as we were completely reliant on resources from the dev teams.
With LM we manage everything ourselves meaning we can keep it up to date and make any changes we need, also with the team having a lack of dev know-how we find the platform really easy to use and configure using the GUI. Changes can be made with a few clicks in the platform that would of previously took weeks, this helps improve our Operational function overall.
We use the platform not only for network device monitoring but for service monitoring by utilizing LM Service Insight. This is allowing us to report on network availability which we include as part of monthly operational reviews. Before we explored this feature, we had nothing in place to monitor our availability.

A Great Partner for Observability Success
What do you like best about the product?
Our LogicMonitor account team (Partner Manager, Customer Success Manager) are highly engaged in supporting us to realise complete value from the platform, ensuring our issues are quickly resolved, and helping us plan ahead to enable new benefits to our customers as new featers are released.
The platform itself has improved greatly over time in terms of form and function, there are very few usecases for observability our organisation has that it cannot cover, and there are many more value features (like AI driven anomolgy detection and synthetic transactions) that we're planning to exploit in the future, with more on the way.
The new services view of resources is an especially compelling feature for maintain a holistic view of services.

What do you dislike about the product?
Some areas of improvement are required in error reporting, or making issues more visible when collectors are not reporting home.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Consolidated multiple tools into one single solution. Observability across a multi-tenanted environment.
Great tool for MSP infrastructure monitoring
What do you like best about the product?
Logicmonitor allows us as an MSP to onboard customers within minutes; it's a matter of deploying the collector and the data start flowing in. Great visibility out of the box, and enough options to customize if neccesary.
Great support from the team at LM in and after our onboarding.
We replaced 5 tools for 1 with the introduction of LM.

What do you dislike about the product?
The new UI is still under active development, and sometimes feels like it's public beta (old UI is still available).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to correlate incidents between departments (network / sysadmin / customer)
Great platform to replace one's legacy black box monitoring, easy to use with some shortcomings
What do you like best about the product?
User-friendly interface, automatic discovery, dashboards.
It was a smooth migration from our legacy black box monitoring solution.

What do you dislike about the product?
Cisco NetFlow limitations. Customer support is taking long time to review the cases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us to focus the engineering teams time and effort on infrastructure support, improvement and development rather than on monitoring system support and maintenance.
One platform to monitor it all
What do you like best about the product?
The broad support of different producttypes. One platform to monitor all resources. Effective Dashboarding. Service monitoring solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
New UI is not optimal yet. Office365 monitoring is not complete enough for us.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Measuring multiple metrics for different resource types. Service monitoring. Going towards proactive monitoring. Which will result in better user and customer experience.
Creating backups of resources.

Dynamic solution to meet your infrastructure monitoring needs.
What do you like best about the product?
Whilst out of the box LogicMonitor can monitor your infrastructure with ease, the ability to create or amend data sources to meet your specific business requirements is fantastic, it enables us as a team to meet our monitoring requirements with relative ease.
The fact that LM is SAAS based means that we do not have to spend time keeping the product up to date, especially if you configure the collectors to auto update rather than having your engineers run the upgrade, this again ensure the product is kept upto date.
The inline support functions assist with any issues you may be having with the product and most of my interactions have been perfect. The support teams are knowledgable and rarely do issues get escalated.
Deployment and integration within our infrastructure was simple and very quickly enabled us to have our network monitored to a level that greatly improved our visibility.
API Integration to retrieve data from logicmonitor to ingest into other tooling was simple to achieve with one sometimes fustrating issue.

What do you dislike about the product?
Whilst the API does have ratelimiting enabled which is obviously needed, there seems to a bug or issue that could not be identified where I would start to get shunned/blocked for several hours, yet the response did not tell me I was approaching the rate limit, this seems to be solely affecting LMAuth as using a bearer I no longer experiance the issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem is infrastructure observability for Networks, Storage and virtualisation estates acorss all our business units, LogicMonitors dynamic and complete nature means that whilst we do need to amend or create data sources occasionally the fact is out of the box it addressing the goal of complete infrastructure visability very simply with little in the way of product administration therefore ensuring that with the dynamic and static alerting we are able to offer virtually complete visiability of our infrastructure in ways that were previously spread accross multiple tools.
