Dynamic solution to meet your infrastructure monitoring needs.
What do you like best about the product?
Whilst out of the box LogicMonitor can monitor your infrastructure with ease, the ability to create or amend data sources to meet your specific business requirements is fantastic, it enables us as a team to meet our monitoring requirements with relative ease.
The fact that LM is SAAS based means that we do not have to spend time keeping the product up to date, especially if you configure the collectors to auto update rather than having your engineers run the upgrade, this again ensure the product is kept upto date.
The inline support functions assist with any issues you may be having with the product and most of my interactions have been perfect. The support teams are knowledgable and rarely do issues get escalated.
Deployment and integration within our infrastructure was simple and very quickly enabled us to have our network monitored to a level that greatly improved our visibility.
API Integration to retrieve data from logicmonitor to ingest into other tooling was simple to achieve with one sometimes fustrating issue.
What do you dislike about the product?
Whilst the API does have ratelimiting enabled which is obviously needed, there seems to a bug or issue that could not be identified where I would start to get shunned/blocked for several hours, yet the response did not tell me I was approaching the rate limit, this seems to be solely affecting LMAuth as using a bearer I no longer experiance the issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem is infrastructure observability for Networks, Storage and virtualisation estates acorss all our business units, LogicMonitors dynamic and complete nature means that whilst we do need to amend or create data sources occasionally the fact is out of the box it addressing the goal of complete infrastructure visability very simply with little in the way of product administration therefore ensuring that with the dynamic and static alerting we are able to offer virtually complete visiability of our infrastructure in ways that were previously spread accross multiple tools.
Excellent product, excellent support
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to deploy, easy to find out information about your infrastructure that other systems can not do
What do you dislike about the product?
Hard to think of any at this point. We like it!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
the monitoring and alerting of system status, including device thresholds, configurations changes and utilisation anomolies
Such a dream to use
What do you like best about the product?
Best thing about LogicMonitor is how customizable they make it, with the high number of built-in LogicModules it makes creating high signal, low noise alerts easy. Dashboards allow ease of use when it comes to monitoring and keeping an overall eye on the status of your network & each location supported.
What do you dislike about the product?
My main gripe right now is that there is functionality missing between the "old UI" and the "new UI" otherwise the tool is absolute dream to use once setup & configured probably (Which is also a breeze)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LogicMonitor provides highly effective, customized alerting for our entire network based on what WE want to be alerted on & it allows us to set the thresholds we feel comfortable with. There are tons of out of the box options that are highly effective while you learn more about LogicMonitor that make it effective almost immediatly and the ability to automate dashboard creation right withing the portal is a huge quality of life win.
Out of the box it's great
What do you like best about the product?
Out of the box, this tool is really quick & easy to spin up. You can have your whole infrastructure monitored & standard alerting within a week. It's also light on infrastructure it requires, so doesn't need loads fo servers and much integration work.
What do you dislike about the product?
if you want anything custom, or anything non-standard theres a bit of work to do. the GUI can be clunky in some of the settings areas, not the most intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monitoring and Alerting for all of our network infrastructure - we're made aware of any incidents prior to users letting us know, or we can update users prior to them all complaining.
Used for unified observability, network compliance with built-in multiple dashboard
What is our primary use case?
We primarily use it for unified observability, network compliance, and the benefit of an easy-to-administrate SaaS-based solution.
How has it helped my organization?
I'm familiar with LogicMonitor, mainly through my clients. Its key features include network discovery, user-friendly dashboards, and robust reporting capabilities.
What is most valuable?
Once you have your data within LogicMonitor, whether it's for network, server, or storage data, your LogicMonitor has many dashboards built out of the box. So, all your data is consolidated in a nice, efficient way. Suppose a customer needs to provide reports to management or understand which devices have been added during a certain period or are out of compliance.
What needs improvement?
LogicMonitor needs to invest more in APM functionality. The solution's core focus is infrastructure monitoring, but LogicMonitor is endeavoring to expand into the APM space with the tool. It works adequately but could benefit from additional investment to enhance its performance.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using LogicMonitor for three to four years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I've had no issues. I rate the solution’s stability a ten out of ten.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
The solution is suitable for enterprise customers. Twenty users are using this solution.
Scalability is excellent. Many other solutions cannot scale up to a sizable footprint without hiring more staff, allocating more resources to infrastructure, or obtaining additional budget.
How are customer service and support?
They offer various support levels to clients, allowing them to choose the level of service they prefer. Typically, enterprise customers opt for premium support or even higher levels. With round-the-clock availability and resolution within an hour or two, custom support is also available.
How would you rate customer service and support?
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup is easier than other solutions, so we partnered with LogicMonitor.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The pricing can vary yearly or monthly, depending on the clients we're working with and their size and scale. For example, the pricing for a customer with ten thousand licenses versus a hundred licenses can vary.
What other advice do I have?
LogicMonitor is a SaaS-based solution, but users can deploy it wherever they want. They can deploy collectors in the cloud, on-premises, on their servers, or VMs. It's flexible in how it can be deployed. However, unlike many other monitoring tools, you don't need to set up a lot of infrastructure.
For an enterprise customer, LogicMonitor may not be considered excessively expensive. It tends to have a higher price tag compared to legacy monitoring solutions, yet it offers more value. Smaller customers with only a few hundred licenses might perceive it as pricier since they have fewer items to monitor and fewer demands. The true value of the solution shines in large, intricate environments where it can effectively monitor hundreds of devices.
In terms of advice, anyone currently using a monitoring solution is likely aware of its shortcomings. I suggest not hesitating to challenge the status quo and explore alternative solutions. LogicMonitor, among others, represents a significant step forward in SaaS-based monitoring solutions. These platforms offer considerable value with minimal ramp-up time and learning curve. Considering a solution like LogicMonitor, it's crucial to identify the gaps in your current monitoring environment. I encourage you to try it; reach out to a reseller, such as myself, or directly to LogicMonitor to explore the platform. It's one of those situations where seeing is believing; you need to experience the value firsthand.
We haven't had any issues with LogicMonitor. All of my clients have loved it and are renewing their subscriptions. It has been fantastic compared to many other tools we've used, especially in the reusability space.
Overall, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.
LogicMonitor's capabilities alone make it the best monitoring software available
What do you like best about the product?
I like the infrastructure monitoring aspect, it's great and has customizable options such as creating your own data sources, giving a lot of flexibility when adding custom scripts. It is a powerful tool that has all the necessary options to properly manage your IT assets.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have anything negative to say about LogicMonitor. On the contrary, it has facilitated the training of our new technicians thanks to its documentation and ease of use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LogicMonitor is currently the main monitoring service for our business as it allowed us to better and closely monitor every aspect of the environment. It has saved us a lot of time and money as it allows us to not only quickly identify the root of the problems, but also resolve them before a user finds out.
LogicMonitor is an excellent network monitoring system
What do you like best about the product?
I love that it provides easy access to our servers and real-time analytics. It has a huge inventory of pre-built templates for monitoring things from Power PDUs to Blade Servers.
What do you dislike about the product?
We primarily monitor your website and servers 24/7 for any downtime or faulty issues. I have nothing negative to say, in all this time of use I have never had any type of problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LogicMonitor has been a valuable tool for me and our team to easily monitor all of our servers and cloud applications from a centralized location, increasing our speed and productivity.
LogicMonitor offers an efficient way to solve monitoring performance
What do you like best about the product?
LogicMonitor is used to monitor and analyze application performance data and has customer dashboards and analytics. And I love that it puts all the information you need in one app and with just a few clicks.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it was easier and faster to get help from support. Launches are also becoming slower and less reliable. And finally delving into the details is problematic since LogicMonitor lacks other visibility into the system's behavior.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is a quite practical and powerful system for exhaustive monitoring of the system. It is also capable of tracking systems and collecting logs in a single point. It is quite easy to install and configure and extracts a lot of information from a single agent.
It offers in-depth monitoring of real-time problems and the tracing part
What do you like best about the product?
I like this tool because it allows me proactive monitoring and a quick response to problems. It also gives me several benefits such as simple configuration. powerful with cloud-native applications, complete visibility, excellent for root cause analysis and more!
What do you dislike about the product?
LogicMonitor's learning curve is higher, where only experienced people can use the service effectively. And I think the setup could have been a little easier compared to other software/alternatives.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It works very well when it is necessary to integrate the system with other tools. It provides best-in-class latency for incident reporting, in an instant you can capture the source of the failure. LogicMonitor is a fairly rich tool with a wide spectrum of supported infrastructure endpoints.
Easy to set up and manage, great alerts
What do you like best about the product?
I like its proactive problem discovery, plus the ability easily collect stack traces. And it allows me to control the browser to do things like log in and helps me drill down into information quite easily and usefully, the slow query log analysis is fantastic.
What do you dislike about the product?
The monitoring options should have some text explaining what each one means for beginners who are not very experienced with the tool. And it would be great if the graphics could be updated with less event response time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LogicMonitor has been an invaluable tool for monitoring and managing multiple applications running on the same server. Scalability analysis is also great for predicting what is needed in your stack when creating new features.
