Great experience from initial engagement to rollout and running day to day
What do you like best about the product?
A modern and intuitive tool, that is light-years ahead of what we are replacing. Can support a wide range of skill sets from those that non-technical through to developers. Everyone that has interacted with it and used it has become a fan. With the out-of-the-box modules, we've often found issues that we didn't know existed before. The ability to adapt and tune it quickly, drop down into collectors to troubleshoot, and throw custom scripts to monitor something that is unique to our environment...all from a browser window, without having to drop into a development environment or even a shell (unless you want to) . Context-based help integrated in, and customer support that is top notch and willing to jump into a zoom to help you through a problem while you are working on it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish they had better support for legacy monitoring that requires the use of SNMP traps. No one likes dealing with traps, and SNMP traps need to be replaced with more modern mechanisms ASAP, but they are an unfortunate reality that is often required at least in the near-term and during migration from other platforms. Not having good capabilities here makes dealing with legacy applications and hardware adds friction to migration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it to primarily monitor out network and infrastructure components. We are using it to modernize our monitoring capabilities, allowing centralized monitoring while also allowing individual SMEs and teams to customize and improve visibility as we go.
Very impressed so far
What do you like best about the product?
quick to configure and provides the level of monitoring we're looking for. From what I can see it also scales very quickly without a lot of over head.
What do you dislike about the product?
we seem to be having a lot of meetings and wasted time. our current sales team is not technical enough in my option. We have to wait for days to receive answers to technical questions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we have several gaps in our current monitoring solution. we're hoping to fill those gaps with LogicMonitor.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would absolutely recommend LogicMonitor. We're currently using nagios, zabbix and nimsoft and we're hoping to replace those monitoring tools with LogicMonitor.
Excellent value for product
What do you like best about the product?
One flexible Dashboard. Easy implementation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing i haven't seen that we dislike thus far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Centralized Dashboard and alerting of our global infrastructure
Great product
What do you like best about the product?
It sends us critical alerts, easy to use
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes settings are tricky to find, so
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
monitor our business critical systems
Excellent product and even better support
What do you like best about the product?
Logic Monitor is quick and easy to set up. The collector agent is fairly light and doesn't take up many resources. Logic Monitor provides very useful monitoring with lots of detail that is archived. Looking up past data is also very easy to do, you just have to change the date range. There are a ton of additional features and configuration potential, we've probably just barely scratched the surface of Logic Monitor's full potential! A huge plus for us has been the support has always been great when I reach out for assistance and is very quick. The support techs are very knowledgeable and escalation is quick when needed. The site is always quick and responsive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some network devices do not have full data supported yet so you might get limited data and reporting, but new datasources are being added all the time. You can also submit requests for devices to be added, which I have done a few times and actually got the devices added.
There is a lot to Logic Monitor so there is a bit of a time investment if you want to get the most out of it. But again, their support is great and can help you get things up and running quick if needed.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed accurate monitoring of ours and our customer's devices with long-term archiving and configuration backups. Getting easy access to historic data and seeing it in nice graphs was definitely a plus for us so we can easily show a customer the data too.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try to get a demo of the product and give it a spin! It's easy to get set up and very useful!
it is very easy to use, user friendly, and you get alot of features out of it.
What do you like best about the product?
i like the facet that i can have multiple alarms viewd all in one location instead of having multiple applications
What do you dislike about the product?
the app can be a little more like the web gui
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
indepth analysis of databases and servers health. this saves time also as monitoring can be done remotely
Recommendations to others considering the product:
you can remotely monitor from anywhere and have servers, network, database and also automation of ticket creation done using this tool.
Very functional, rather expensive, not intuitive, poor reporting
What do you like best about the product?
Comprehensive monitoring and alerting options. This one tool can do what you may need 4-6 tools to do. Alert tools are good.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting is difficult. Setup and administration of new devices is not intuitive. Expensive
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Does a good job covering multiple monitoring requirements, network, server, storage, facilities, virtual hosts. Also incorporates an SMS alert which some systems don't offer
Solid Monitoring Solution
What do you like best about the product?
Been using LogicMonitor for a couple of years and have had a favorable opinion of the product. Have recommended LogicMonitor to many different folks over the years. I believe LogicMonitor to be our strongest tool we use (and we have many being a MSP).
Many out of the box datasources work well if you're configured for SNMP. There's also: Site Monitors (internal and external), extensive script customization. chat support is quick and supportive (no need to fill out super long emails/forms to get support). Also "LM Logs" is a nice new feature. Additionally the development of LogicMonitor is continuous. Once you have LogicMonitor configured you wont have to do much for your organization. At most you might need to run through your change control to determine if you want to import the updated datasources; that's about the only manual intervention the product needs.
Overall LogicMonitor is a solid product that is worth checking out even if you are happy with your current monitoring tool.

What do you dislike about the product?
GUI updates are inconsistent and sometimes a step backwards, documentation could be a little more friendly to a beginner. The voice robot that calls during alerts could benefit from sounding better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monitoring/alerting of devices in production environments. Benefits include accurate alerting and SLAs for production environments being met.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Receive a free demo from either LogicMonitor or a reseller, only requires a collector installed on a device (Windows required for WMI calls other devices) and give it a go.
Best tool for server performance analysis
What do you like best about the product?
The part I like best is the granularity of various aspects of server performance, like cpu, memory and network usages. It is very convenient to view the current and history performance information illustrated in beautiful graphs and you can easily drill down to short window that you want to focus on. I always use those to troubleshoot server resource and performance issues and show those to our end users looking for root cause analysis.
What do you dislike about the product?
If I need to check performance for multiple servers, I always need to switch back and forth between those servers. I am not sure if there is a way to put multiple servers in the same graph for easy comparison or not. It would be a very useful feature to have.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used it to troubleshoot server performance issue and to alert usages of server resources exceeding certain thresholds.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Logic Monitor has the most details on performance and is very easy to use, no training needed.
