Almost everything one could ask for in a monitoring solution
What do you like best about the product?
The built in templates (LogicModules) make setting up new resources pretty easily out of the box. For devices not already available, there is a large exchange community that makes the initial monitoring setup relatively painless.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unfortunately, the biggest issue is the price, which is higher than it should be in my opinion. This makes this only a viable solution for larger enterprises or companies with a higher IT budget.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We implemented LogicMonitor to provide a window into our network in order to be more proactive when responding to issues. We were also looking for a cloud - rather than an on-premises - solution, and LogicMonitor has provided a great, stable cloud solution to address this need. The dashboard widgets make it easy to view the health of our entire organization quickly.

The application is very user friendly and the support is very knowledable and quickly available.

What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing big so far. It's a big step up from WUG.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Network, QoS, and Windows server infrastructure monitoring.
Best tool for root cause analysis
What do you like best about the product?
The ability we have to look at internal and external resources allows us to move from a reactive to a proactive approach in our methodology. We generally are using this to be more proactive for our critical app availability and also general environment standards to kick alerts for servers with high utilization for better forecasting for resources
What do you dislike about the product?
we can monitor VMWare hosts, but we get more info from iLo audit of servers - having to pay a full license to get iLo alerts is a little frustrating. While Authy is a good 2FA app, i wish there was integration with Microsoft Authenticator to minimize the number of apps I need to have pre-loaded on my phone
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With the remote support, we're now faced in doing, we have been able to diagnose connectivity issues for end-users to prove home network/home ISP issues.
We also now have more resources in looking at the response time of our critical web apps for availability that was hard to discover previously

Recommendations to others considering the product:
I have tried many tools from competitors and LogicMonitor solves the gaps of those other tools. Once you integrate into the environment, it will pay for itself in no time
Love Logic Monitor, but prefer the old UI
What do you like best about the product?
I like the monitoring aspect and the ability to configure it for non-standard monitoring. I like the fact that it plugs in with PagerDuty
What do you dislike about the product?
the new UI. Prefer the old UI better. other then that its nice
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
the problems we are solving with LogicMonitor are quickly locating systems that are down or needed services that have crashed or stopped. we have realized many benefits, mostly in the form of time spent on troubleshooting and awareness that there is an issue before the end user knows there is an issue
The All-in-Wonder monitoring solution that doesn't compromise.
What do you like best about the product?
LogicMonitor is capable of scaling from 10 machines to thousands of machines as easily as 3 clicks. The greatest strengths of the tool is the programability that it has. You can quickly set metrics, call-tree's, escalation paths and much more inside of their portal. The other thing I love best about it is that the tool is so capable, customizable that it isn't daunting at all. You make it what you want it to be, unlike many other competitors.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some bugs from time to time, their product is a continually developed product so there are frequent updates that you control. It requires that frequent use to make sure that your monitored resources are reporting in correctly and not acting goofy. If they are, see if there is an update, if that doesn't take care of it, their support team is great for assistance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We didn't have a centralized monitoring software solution that provided historical information. This allowed me to define metrics and KPI's on our resources and infrastructure to provide advanced warning of a potential problem. With this in place, we are now beginning to see trends, what our "normal" looks like and what abnormal to our environments look like.
Platform is extensive and allows for very granular monitoring across the infrastructure.
What do you like best about the product?
LogicMonitor appears to support many different vendors, from an infrastructure perspective this is very useful as there are many disparate systems and being able to consolidate monitoring into one platform is very useful. In addition, having an automatic AI-generated analysis of faults greatly reduces time to resolution for incidents. Being able to consolidate monitoring from several different products allows us to effectively resolve issues or even be proactive as things could escalate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Have not used this product sufficiently to make a determination on dislikes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monitoring gaps across disparate infrastructure systems. Allowing us to connect the dots, so to speak, and understand how things are interacting and finding pain points. Being able to show these items on dashboards, and showing the interactivity is extremely helpful.
Logic Monitor - One of the Best Monitoring tools
What do you like best about the product?
Like very few tools, Logic Monitor is an agent less monitoring tool and with a single collector , we can monitor 100s of devices. It is cost effective and the discovery of devices that we add is more and we have option to select what exactly needs to be monitored.
What do you dislike about the product?
Need more customization to deploy shell scripts to monitor our Oracle application environments.
It can improve more on collection method time for certain Logic modules and identifying issue using troubleshooter
It can improve more on collection method time for certain Logic modules and identifying issue using troubleshooter
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Identifying the issue before it impacting business is the main objective of a monitoring tool and Logic monitor is best in the business for it.
When we add a device, Logic monitor discovers all the parameters that are available on that and data will be fetched in Logic monitor dashboard. With that you can select what exactly you need to monitor and it reduces more manual work.

Reliable, Detailed, and User Friendly with Great Support
What do you like best about the product?
LogicMonitor doesn't require much administrative overhead.
What do you dislike about the product?
VMware monitoring for VMs requires detailed monitoring on those machines to group them for alerting purposes making it harder to accomplish some tasks without the extra licenses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monitoring and alerting for our infrastructure and software.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Day to day issues, and solving problems before they become more critical. LogicMontior has become one of my favorite tools I use for my day to day operations, more so it has become a critical asses. I love that the LM team is constantly improving the platform and adding more features. You can tell they truly care about delivering a first class product.
