There isn't a day where I'm not delving into the goodness that is LogicMonitor.

What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the real power of the tool is not always intuative and requires a hefty time investment to get right.
"Snappiness" of the GUI could be improved as it does from time to time feel like its undergoing performance issues.

logic
What do you like best about the product?
ease of use, great training material to access
What do you dislike about the product?
having to setup a custom dashboard to get it right
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
cpu and errors with disks
Easys to use more features
What do you like best about the product?
Custom data source and logicmontior dashboard
What do you dislike about the product?
netflow need to improve features and settings
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
pre-custom data source like bandwidth utilization does not match the real source data
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Reliable custom custom datasource
Very robust and configurable, but a decently steep learning curve
What do you like best about the product?
How configurable and "integratable" it is. You can really configure it however you want, which is nice. You can also integrate it with a tonnnnn of 3rd party apps, texts, calls, etc. There's really no excuse not to get an alert, which I suppose is kind of the point.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you don't have someone on the pulse of it, it can get quite chatty. In my opinion, sysadmin duties expand beyond just alerting. And while it is a big part, LM can get out of hand quickly. To be fair, I've only been involved in companies that already have deployed and are using LM, so maybe they just did it "wrong", but it's not something you can set and leave.
Long story short, I wish it was more straightforward to set up and tweak as needed.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Alerting. There are some nice escalation rules and general alert rules. What we have configured, we can trust to alert us when an issue happens.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I've never used anything else, but it's definitely worth a look, and if you can perhaps have someone who has some knowledge implement it a bit, and be "the person", I think you might be a bit more successful. Not that there has to be one person handling it, but really an SME from day one to make sure the alerts aren't to chatty and really help set up the game plan for success.
Logicmon is the logical choice
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use interface and yet very powerful. Able to configure very detailed monitor types. lot of different options for monitors and log parsing. You can create some nice views as well to streamline things as when using this for an enterprise the list of items can become overwhelming. Web monitors are extremely flexible and can be used in a variety of ways. Logicmon's customer care team is also very accessible to us and been very willing to help with customization.
What do you dislike about the product?
Still uses SNMP 2.0 which is insecure and we have had some issues with getting our SSO to work. The alert notification tiering is also different than other platforms so that requires some adjustments. A fair bit of customization and tweaking is required for complex environments but the vendor is happy to work with us to assist on these types of issues. Our customer support team have changed more often than I like but I am happy to say that regardless they stay engaged with our teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have eliminated some other monitoring tools. We are mainly doing web checks. We are also enabling the business to see a single pane of glass for viewing their estate. We are also allowing other teams in our enterprise to use the tool for specific items such as ISAM and F5. This tool really fits a niche because many other tools are too basic or are more focused on deep dives into apps. Logicmon really bridges the gap in a cost effective way.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If your using other tools don't expect this to be a simple cutover. Document your current process well and then you can use it to map into logicmon. Also be ready to adapt to a new interface. Changing tools is a complex endeavor. Get familar with your rep and customer support team as they can and will help you along the way.
IT SaaS Monitoring tool
What do you like best about the product?
A Very good SaaS-based monitoring tool. It does the job. Ease of configuration and less effort required in monitoring.
What do you dislike about the product?
The connector and agent are unstable. I hope they will improve the lightweight container to better handle the huge volume of tasks
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We moved from the on-prem monitoring solution. Our goal was to align our cloud-first strategy. Less overhead and more time savings compared to on-prem monitoring solutions.
Very good
What do you like best about the product?
can do Monitor all systems, devices, traffic and applications of your IT infrastructure.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have been thinking but didn't find that much.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy to load/manage devices and also very user friendly graphing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
clear picture of trouble spots.
LogicMonitor improved our Enterprise Monitoring capability
What do you like best about the product?
LogicMonitor has allowed us to monitor our Enterprise in a way not possible before. We easily monitor application performance, website metrics, and advanced statistics, as well as the hardware the underlies those services. There was a ton of monitoring out of the box, but it also allowed us to develop custom collectors to monitor KPIs that were unique to our company. Logic Monitor was responsive in answering questions to help develop those advanced capabilities giving us better insight into our environment and business processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
As it collects a ton of data from a myriad of sources, it can be complicated to sift through at times if you haven't spent much time in the product. It generated a ton of alerts at first, but with proper tuning of datasources and thresholds, it has improved over time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Logic Monitor has allowed us to monitor our KPIs and helped to solve an audit gap that previously existed. Our previous solution was not flexible enough to monitor all of the datasources we required and was no longer manageable.
Great utility for Infrastructure monitoring and Excellent Support
What do you like best about the product?
It really captures all the devices and resources that are deemed important (Production) and alerts / monitors us when things go awry
What do you dislike about the product?
It does take time to fully tweak and implement to each environment's liking. Too much noise when not done properly
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mainly alerting on important infrastructure items which gives us a very good idea where there are bottlenecks and actual system degraded performance / outages
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend using the chat function for Support as you are working in real time with experts that are able to help make tweaks and adjustments for testing right away. Their knowledge is very extensive and the documentation provided has always been on point.
