Excellent tool when you don't really know what you are looking for.

A bit strange with the different systems showing up.

What do you dislike about the product?
The updating of the server could be a bit smoother, from the web interface for instance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We get an overview of our systems that is not possible without this system.
Users reaching quotas, services not running are some of the things we pick up on very fast.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you try it, be prepared to buy it.
Over a year now, very happy with the results
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing for me is the built-in performance templates - I didn't need to tweak anything on Day 1, it was monitoring applications and services, performance metrics and capacity without my needing to manually adjust thresholds. Quick and simple setup, in a matter of minutes I was receiving data on my entire enterprise, including printers.
Alerting and notification hierarchy was easy to configure, and so far it's been a breeze when troubleshooting performance issues in our virtual environment - something we could not do with our old product.

What do you dislike about the product?
We've been working on streamlining our run-books, and having the ability to customize the incoming alert context (such as "Circuit 12345 is down, here's the carrier, 800-number and Circuit-ID") is something we could use more assistance with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Capacity planning with storage and VM load-balancing. Also, fine-tuning SQL performance
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I've heard people say it's expensive, but the cost of our environment experiencing downtime makes this functionally trivial. Worth the extra features.
Increase Productivity and Response Time
What do you like best about the product?
LogicMonitor allows us to become a lot more proactive with the handling of our monitored systems instead of reactive.
What do you dislike about the product?
People in upper management would sometimes like to see less flash dashboards and reporting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been increasing our response to be more proactive, therefore increasing our SLA metrics and user satisfaction.
LM FTW!
What do you like best about the product?
Brilliant dashboard capabilities and tonnes of useful components which help my team monitor the network
What do you dislike about the product?
Have had very little negative feedback about LogicMonitor so far :)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monitoring a large resilient Cisco network across 20 different sites.
LogicMonitor has had such a positive impact on our organisation
What do you like best about the product?
We installed LogicMonitor a year ago after using SolarWinds for some time. We find it to be much more reactive and detailed than SolarWinds. Plus it's easier to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've heard a few people comment on the GUI saying it could be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've streamlined our alerting and gained visibility of core services
Awesome
What do you like best about the product?
Unified view of all software and hardware components and alert management. Customised datasource is also the best.
What do you dislike about the product?
Chat support via mobile application. Website is not optimised for small screens and it's very uncomfortable to open chat support by mobile browser
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Customise datasource
Complete Visibility over School Network
What do you like best about the product?
LogicMonitor gives me complete visibility over my school district's network. I can essentially know if something has an issue before the end user even realizes something went wrong.
What do you dislike about the product?
To be honest the price is a bit steep, but it is worth every penny.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Proactive network analysis. Visibility on bandwidth usage. History for outages.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just buy it. Don't let the price scare you away.
Smart, easy to implment systems monitoring and alerting
What do you like best about the product?
Hosted and cloud based so very little effort required to get initial install and configuration implemented
What do you dislike about the product?
Only way to pay outside of USA is by credit card and in USD.

Proactive Monitoring and alerting of our servers, network devices and services
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Hosted, pay as you go cloud based montoring of an organistiona IT infrstcure nad services is the way to go. Logicmonitor is one of the few solution that enbraces the fact the many companies are now using Azure, AWS or Google hosted platforms
Best Monitoring I've Used
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to monitor just about any attribute of a device and set custom alert levels for anything. The ease of use also should not be under looked as once you start to play around with the web interface you pickup how everything works fairly quickly. Their API is some of the best I've dealt with as well which should not be under looked. Just about anything you can do in the web interface can be accomplished through their API. The documentation on their API provides examples in just about every language and their documentation as a whole is very thorough.
What do you dislike about the product?
The rigidness of the dashboards in certain aspects. You aren't able to re scale the tiles so that you can fit more things on one page without having to scroll.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to monitor all of our physical and virtual infrastructure. Monitoring various internal and external websites along with the ability to monitor SSL certs on the websites we maintain is a really great feature.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This goes for any software vendor
